Learners’ Profile Across Programs and Research Writing Background
his study utilized a descriptive-correlational research design to inves-tigate the relationship between learners\u27 profile and their research writing background among 276 students at Osias Colleges Incorpo-rated. The instrument underwent pilot testing, achieving a Cronbach\u27s alpha value of 0.94, indicating high reliability. Data analy-sis involved statistical methods including frequency counts, percent-ages, means, and chi-square tests to interpret the findings accurately. The results revealed that most participants were male freshmen aspiring to become criminologists. In terms of their research writing background, learners demonstrated a solid understanding of the re-search writing process, reported significant experience, and ex-pressed confidence in their writing abilities. Notably, the study found that both gender and year level significantly influenced students\u27 awareness, experience, and competence in research activities, sug-gesting that as students advance academically, their engagement with research writing improves. However, the specific courses taken did not appear to significantly impact on students\u27 experiences or compe-tencies, indicating a need for curricular enhancements across disci-plines. To address these findings, the study proposed an action plan aimed at improving learners\u27 research writing engagements. This includes implementing a mentorship program that pairs students with experienced faculty or upperclassmen to provide guidance on academic challenges and research skills. Additionally, interactive workshops focused on advanced research writing techniques should be organized to facilitate hands-on learning experiences. Establishing a curriculum review committee (with representatives from various programs) would help assess how effectively different courses pro-mote research skills and identify best practices for enhancing student engagement in research activities across all programs

Teachers\u27 Profile, Knowledge Competence, and Skill Competence in Laboratory Instruction; Its Implications to Physics Teaching
Effective science instruction requires more than just dispensing information and conceptual knowledge; science teachers also need to have in-depth knowledge, understanding, and abilities to give their students appropriate and pertinent scientific tasks. Despite the fact that teachers exhibit proficiency in laboratory instruction, more research is required to determine how this proficiency directly impacts student learning outcomes in lab environments. Hence, a descriptive-correlational research approach was conducted to determine the relationship between the profile of science teachers and their knowledge and skill competence in science laboratory instruction. Results revealed that gender (sex) has a negative correlation with both knowledge and skill competency. This indicates that male and female teachers may have different competency levels. Moreover, higher degrees and teachers’ field of specialization contribute positively to both knowledge and skill competency in science laboratory instruction. However, teaching position and length of teaching have weak indicating that experience alone may not strongly influence knowledge and skill competence in science laboratory

Continuity and Preference of Ride-Sharing Service in Bangladesh: A Cul-tural Analysis
This study investigates the proliferation of app-based ride-hailing services within the urban transportation systems of Bangladesh, with a particular focus on socio-cultural assimilation and growing prominence. The primary objective of this research is to analyze the current dynamics of ride-sharing services in Dhaka and Chattogram, identifying the underlying factors that have contributed to their widespread adoption. It is done by qualitative data from interviews with 20 regular users in Dhaka and Chattogram. Empirical findings reveal that the preference for such services is predominantly driven by considerations of comfort, perceived safety, user convenience, and the potential for supplementary income. The analysis is done within the theoretical paradigm, employing Jan Nederveen Pieterse’s theory of Globalization as Hybridization, John Storey’s discourse on Popular Culture, and Frederic Jameson’s critique of Consumerism. Through this lens, the research demonstrates that while the concept of ride-sharing is rooted in Western socio-economic contexts, its localization in Bangladesh has led to the emergence of a hybridized cultural practice. Moreover, the study reveals that ride-sharing services have transcended their functional role, evolving into a significant facet of contemporary popular culture within urban Bangladesh. This transformation is further illustrated through the theoretical construct of consumerism, which elucidates the appeal of such services to the modern urban middle class. The paper not only underscores the cultural and economic factors contributing to the rise of ride-sharing platforms but also offers recommendations for their sustainable development and potential future expansion within the Bangladeshi context
