Automatic Liquid Filling Machine using Flow Sensor and Arduino Pro Mini

    No full text
oai:ojs2.ijerjournal.org:article/2The Small Industries Enterprise (SME), which is especially involved in the liquid filling industry (such as mineral water, tea, liquid milk, juice, etc.), needs some device that has the ability to measure liquid automatically and accurately into some container. Based on the 'Water Fall' method, this study carries out a procedure for making compact and efficient tools ('requirements definition' stage), using a keypad start button, flow sensor, temperature sensor, fan, buzzer, LCD 1602, relay driver ('system & software design' stage), implement a schematic drawing of the circuit and install all hardware inside the casing ('implementation and unit testing' stage), install accessories, set parameters and volume target ('integration and system testing ' stage) and re-calibrate the device ('operation and maintenance' stage). After the measurement experiment, we got that Fillco (the name of the device) has a bigger error for measurement below 1000 ml (0.6-15%) and better accuracy measurement for targeted volume upper than 1000 ml (0.04-0.20%). Fillco also able to memorize and reset liquid volume

Applied K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN) on Dust Supression Prototype

Steam power plants that use coal as fuel have serious problems during operation. Before heading to the combustion process, coal is stored in an open field area. However, this results in fine particles of coal dust being exposed to wind and polluting the surrounding environment. The purpose of this study is to minimize the impact of pollution from coal dust by using the dust suppression tool. The tools that have been run manually or conventionally can be operated automatically to facilitate the operator in controlling dust suppression without the need to go to the field. This research proposes a prototype dust suppression equipped with dust and temperature sensors, the sensor data is a representation of the condition of the coal storage area which is processed using the K-Nearest Neighbors method to classify whether the condition of the storage area is normal or dusty. When conditions are dusty, the pump activates and directs bursts of water at the coal to minimize dust. In the application of the K-Nearest Neighbors method, center point 1 is obtained for normal conditions, with a dust density of 0.4353 mg / m3 and a temperature of 27.5818 °C. Whereas center point 2 for dusty conditions has a dust density of 2,374 mg / m3 and a temperature of 28.2667 °C. From 40 testing data in real-time, a success rate of 87.5% was obtained

Electronic Equipment Loads Telemetry in Ferry Ship Passenger Room Based on Long Range Wireless Communication (LoRA)

The development of information technology both software and hardware support development in various fields, especially in the field of electronics. This progress can be used in making automation systems and controlling electronic and electrical components. With the increasing need for system monitoring in real-time, a model that is more than just portable storage can be developed, using telemetry (remote measurement) systems. This research makes a prototype that is used for remote monitoring of electronic equip-ment telemetry in the passenger space of ferries using wireless communica-tions. Radiofrequency is used for electronic equipment located in the passen-ger space. The system is made using ACS 712 current sensor and ZMPT 101B voltage sensor to measure current and voltage monitored by long-range wire-less communications (LoRa) to maintain the strength of the amplifier signal and the distance that the LoRa can reach. By utilizing the frequency of the LoRa, it is expected to monitor the load current and voltage generated by electronic equipment in the ferry passenger's passenger space. From the monitoring tool obtained the test results of testing Television with power 27 W and Voltage 19 Volt obtained the percentage of voltage error is 1.09 % and the percentage of current error is 1.15 %.3. Based on the results of the test data, it can be concluded that the current, voltage in the passenger room of the JokoTole KMP ship is fluctuating. This needs to be done monitoring the current load on the ship, especially in the safety alarm system, electronic de-vices, pumps for the safety of shipping, which at KMP Joko Tole still uses con-ventional technology and the absence of adequate electrical system data sup-port

THe Analysis of Library Visitor Satisfaction Using the Servqual Method

    No full text
The purpose of this study was to determine the level of satisfaction of library services with the SERVQUAL method based on five dimensions, such as tan-gible, reliability, responsiveness, assurances, and empathy. The satisfaction evaluation of library services is needed because the number of library visitors is increasingly decreasing. This study tries to find out the things that cause the number of library visitors to decrease while knowing what services need to be improved. Based on the results of library service evaluation tests, 68% of visitors said they were not satisfied with library services, with an average value of SERVQUAL (-0.2) from 25 criteria and 105 respondents. This data shows some library services that must be repaired by schools by improving facilities and services to visitors

Network File System Implementation on Computer-Based Exam

In the world of education, exam is the final stage to evaluate the student abil-ity. The length of the correction process and the expensive cost of printing for manually exams are obstacles that often occurs when administering the ex-ams. Computer-based exams is an effort that is present to solve the problems, by using a computer, then the cost of printing documents and others can be minimized, besides that there is no need for manually correction time, be-cause when students finished the exam, the student's grades can be immedi-ately known. So many advantages are offered by computer-based exams but of course there are still problems that arise. The most common thing is the slow server in processing requests from clients when accessed together, in-creasing the number of servers using Network File Server is one of the efforts to correct the shortcomings of computer-based exams. Using Network File Server is expected to be able to overcome these problems
