Physical activity guidelines for and the present state of health promotion : A Comparison of New Zealand and Japan
Get PDFIn this study, we attempted to compare physical activity guidelines established by Japan and New Zealand based on the World Health Organization Global Recommendations on Physical Activity for Health. We compared documents and websites published by the New Zealand Ministry of Health with those published by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare in Japan. Results revealed that standards were not set for 5–17-year-olds and that only the main points were briefly summarized for other age groups in Japan's guidelines. It was clear that other ministries and associations were publishing the details from their respective standpoints. We were unable to compare current levels of physical activity closely because while physical activity in general is surveyed in New Zealand, Japan only collects data on exercise included in physical activity. Because the international trend is to use level of physical activity as a standard, this suggests that going forward, Japan needs to collect data on physical activity and promote devices that can measure physical activity more closely. Development of Support System for Process Planning in Machining (2nd Report) : Simultaneous Application of Multiple Objective Functions Based on Machining Cost
Get PDFWe are working to develop a support system for process planning in machining. In the 1st part of this investigation, to improve the system’s applicability to products with a large number of holes, a greedy algorithm was used to search among solutions. Through comparison of the machining time obtained by the system with that obtained by operator design, it was confirmed that the configuration of the system is valid. To take the system’s two objective functions into account simultaneously, namely, minimization of machining time and minimization of electric energy consumption, here we propose a method to convert them into costs. The results show that process planning that prioritizes machining time instead of electric energy consumption is realistic, and that the percentages of the costs for machining time and electric energy consumption included in the machining cost vary depending on the shape of the workpiece.departmental bulletin pape

Get PDF言語と社会との関係を考える場合、言語観念変化に対する考察が重要な手がかりを提供してくれるのである。ソシュール以来、言語学は学科として他の自然科学と同じような地位を得るために、言語「そのもの自体」として研究されるようになり、その努力も確かに目覚しい成果を収めてきたが、しかし、言語からその歴史性と言語変化、そしてなによりも人間との関わりを取り除いただけに、これまた新しい問題をもたらした。本論文では、日本と中国の近代言語創製過程に反映された言語観念の変化を中心に、近代国民国家と民族の理念に与えた影響を検証する。なかんずく、一歩先行した日本の経験が如何様に中国の近代性形成に影響を及ぼしたかについて探求を試みた。近代中国の言語生活状況、言語教育、文字改革、言語共同体意識の形成などにほ、いずれも日本からの影響があったからである。中国にとっては、日本という特殊な存在が極めて重要であることが言うまでもないが、場合によっては単なる外的な他者同士としてではなく、お互いに深く影響しあう、複雑に入り込んでいる相互関係にある存在として、今日の問題とその歴史的遺産を理解する時に見逃せない重要な意味を持つものと考えられる。その場合は、言語イデオロギーからの追及も一つの手がかりとなるだろう。departmental bulletin pape

Macroeconomic Model and the Missing Equation
Get PDFWe address the missing equation difficulty of macroeconomic models, which is usually associated with the Keynesian model alone, but the “Classical” model is shown to suffer from essentially the same problem. The difficulty of the classical model is resolved by re-examining the behavioral hypothesis under uncertainty by using the Certainty Equivalence of uncertain variables. The Certainty Equivalence concept is also useful to resolve the missing equation difficulty of the Keynesian model, although production function must be simultaneously taken into account.
