Prediction for Geomagnetic Disturbances with the Solar Wind Parameters Based on Neural Computational Technique

    Get PDF
We try to determine what solar wind parameter has an impact on the geomagnetic disturbance based on neural computational method “potential learning (PL)”. In our previous study, using the PL method, the clock angle, which is the angle between the dawn — dusk (By) and north — south (Bz) components of solar wind magnetic field, was extracted as the most significant parameter to disturb the geomagnetic field. However, that result included a little uncertainty due to redundancy of parameters. Therefore, we scrutinize the solar wind parameters to evaluate with the PL method, and retry to extract the parameters to provide an impact on geomagnetic disturbances. We could find that the clock angle, solar wind dynamic pressure and number density impinged on magnetospheric disturbances. These parameters are important in considering geomagnetic disturbances. Our result suggests that the potential learning method is very useful tool to study the solar wind-driven geomagnetic disturbances.departmental bulletin pape

Mediating Effect of Affective Commitment on Organizational Factors and Customer Satisfaction

    Get PDF
The purpose of this paper is to assess the impact of organizational structure and process factors on customer satisfaction, and to examine the mediating role of organizational commitment (affective commitment) on these relationships. The Round 3 data from the High Performance Manufacturing (HPM) project were used for this study. The data includes 266 plants from 9 industrialized countries. A simple Sobel test demonstrated the partial mediating effect of affective commitment. Structural equation modeling (SEM) revealed that when two structural factors and one process factor are considered, affective commitment partially mediates the effect of the flatness of organizational structure and supervisory interaction facilitation, but does not mediate the effect of the centralization of authority. Some limitations of this study are highlighted and future expectations provided.departmental bulletin pape

Fukushima as the core spot of the division

    Get PDF
The theme of this article is to comprehend Fukushima who is the stricken area of the first Fukushima nuclear plant accident as the core spot, and, to examine some divisions that there is in this area. There are three divisions in Fukushima now. The first one is the division between center and periphery. The second one is the division between to love home country and not to love home country. The third one is the division between to nature and human. These three divisions were made clear by the first Fukushima nuclear plant accident. These three divisions were the problem of modern times, and, the problems of the civilization. To pursue universality in East Asia is to plan solution these problems in line with the people of the core spot.departmental bulletin pape
