Controlling Morphologies of Molecular Self-Assemblies and Their Photoresponsive Performance
Molecular self-assemblies which are formed by non-covalent interactions such as hydrogen-bonding and π-π interaction have a great potential for novel functional soft-materials. The properties and functionalities of the self-assemblies highly depend on their assembling manner including higher-order structure (topology), but controlling the topology is still challenging due to directional non-covalent interaction. Here, strategies for the controlling topology and photoresponsive behavior of resulting selfassemblies are described in two topics. The first topic is about one-dimensional fibrous self-assembly constructed by template method using a surfactant for application to photocatalyst. The photocatalytic performance was enhanced by formation of fibers, and mechanism of photocatalytic reaction was clarified with kinetic analysis. The second one is description about fabrication "topological block copolymer" of selfassembly by rational molecular design and new approach: post-polymerization structural transformation. Upon irradiating UV-light to helicoidally folded self-assembly resulted in the formation of topological block copolymer possessing central folded domain and terminal unfolded domain, which was produced cooperative unfolding from termini of folded self-assembly. We proposed new approach on the control of self-assembling.departmental bulletin pape
Consideration on the Relationship between In-role and Organizational Citizenship Behaviors
This study examined whether and how in-role behavior (IRB) has a relationship with organizational citizenship behavior (OCB). After alternative models regarding a causal relationship between them are proposed, the specif ication search of Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was utilized to analyze the data collected from 312 workers working with others. As a result of the comparison of alternative models, different models become the highest measures of f it depending on antecedents; when job satisfaction is considered, the model assuming the effect of job satisfaction on OCB is fully mediated by IRB became the best one. If organizational identification is considered to be an antecedent, the other model considering an effect of organizational identification on IRB is fully mediated by OCB is adopted as the best one. A probable reason for such difference is proposed.departmental bulletin pape

Effects of Various Types of Job Satisfaction on Organizational Retaliatory Behaviors
Organizational retaliatory behavior (ORB) is at the opposite spectrum of organizational citizenship behavior (OCB). Although individual ORBs are minuscule and often overlooked, organizations must pay attention to them because once accumulated, ORB could have a negative impact on the effectiveness of an organization. This study empirically examines whether four kinds of job satisfaction have an impact on ORB. Results show that work, supervisor, and coworker-related satisfaction negatively influences ORBs as expected. In contrast, income satisfaction has no effect on ORB. Male employees tend to perform more ORBs when they have a problem with their supervisors, and female employees tend to display more ORBs when they have a bad relationship with coworkers. A particular problem accompanying ORB research is also discussed.departmental bulletin pape
