Funky Lil\u27 Drumma
Music Creation Details from SlicedHambone:
I created Funky Lil’ Drumma about a year ago using FL Studio on my laptop. My laptop died last year, along with the original editable file, but I thought it was good enough to send out.
I wish I could say I did the drums completely alone, but I got them from a pack I bought of drum loops. Other than that, all the arrangement, the bassline, the Rhodes piano, the organ, organization of the drums, and music direction was all from me. I listen to a lot of “Funky” electronic music and I tried to emulate that. My dad is a huge fan of jazz, so I suppose it is in my DNA.
The title is an homage to “Funky Drummer” by James Brown, a classic and extremely important piece of music in the Funk space, as well as being sampled for “Amen breaks” in break core and DNB: Funky Drummer by James Brown.
This loop has been sampled countless times, including in the Powerpuff girls theme song: James Brown Sample.
This song is also partially inspired by this, which is one of my favorite electro-funk songs: Sly Fox by KOAN Sound.
As a fledgling self-taught musician, I thought the name showed that while I was no where close to the same funkiness level, I was at least on the right staircase, so to speak
Exploring Student Perceptions of Digital Learning Material Accessibility and Disability Stigma in Higher Education
Research shows that stigma surrounding students with disabilities remains prevalent in higher education, hindering students\u27 use of resources and instructors’ ability to proactively make learning materials accessible. While barriers are well-documented, few studies explore student perceptions regarding the accessibility of digital learning materials. This study surveyed Lindenwood University students to assess their views on disability and the accessibility of learning materials. Responses were collected anonymously via Qualtrics to encourage honesty. The findings aim to provide insights into student attitudes toward accessibility and inform strategies for improving awareness for both students and instructors and enhancing accessibility at the university
