EFFECT OF LIBRARY SERVICES ON STUDENTS’ ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT IN SECONDARY SCHOOL AT BANKURA DISTRICT IN WEST BENGAL
Get PDFA library can be defined as a location where information materials in various formats are methodically gathered, arranged, kept, maintained, and made available to users when necessary to suit their information needs. This study's purpose is to examine how library services affect students' academic performance in secondary schools in West Bengal's Bankura. Researcher used survey method and descriptive statistics for conducting this research work. Researcher find out and conclude that is significant difference between library service and academic achievement of secondary level students Ho1 in Bankura District and Ho2 is finding that negative relationship observed between library service and academic achievement of secondary level of students
EFFECT OF ALOE VERA AND CHLOROQUINE ON TESTES, SPERM MORPHOLOGY AND SERUM LEVELS OF REPRODUCTIVE HORMONES IN ALBINO RAT
Get PDFMany herbal plants have medicinal property and used throughout the world as safe source of medicine. Aloe vera is a succulent herb used for healing various ailments. Further it has an anti-androgenic property. Chloroquine is the most commonly used drug in the treatment of malaria worldwide as well as in the treatment of discoid lupus, extra intestinal amoebiasis and rheumatoid arthritis and can cause reduction in sperm motility, fertilizing ability of sperms. In the present study the effect of Aloe vera and chloroquine on testes of male albino rats have been investigated. In this study 18 male albino rats weighing between 180-240 gm and aged 3-4 months were randomly divided into 3 groups of 6 animals each. The group I served as control provided normal saline, group II and III are experimental, treated with 25 mg/kgbw of Aloe vera gel and 2mg/kg bw chloroquine respectively for 45 days daily orally. Histo¬pathological studies showed atrophic seminiferous tubules, germ cell debris, vacu¬olization of sertoli cells and interstitial cells, disrupted basement membrane, empty lumen and increased intercellular spaces filled with interstitial fluid. The sperm morphological abnormalities found to be increased while serum FSH, LH and testosterone level decreased in Aloe vera and chloroquine treated groups as compared to control. Thus it is concluded that Aloe vera and chloroquine cause toxic effect on the testes, sperm morphology and serum hormonal level of albino rats and may have antifertility potential

The present study is related to children welfare activities of Tata Foundation. This foundation works through CRY, A noted NGO; which works as a noble cause supporting the children’s education. Tata Foundation has been using Tata Salt and Tata tea; as their product for promoting the educationamong the children. The study is based on primary source of information, which has taken from 200 respondents who make use of Tata Salt and Tata tea for their daily consumption. These two consumers items are daily users, who have given significant contribution on one packet @ Rs 1 per packet which goes to promote the children’s education as a significant contribution; contributed by the salt and tea consumers. On the basis of this study, shows a considerable impact on decision making of these two products; as tested by t-test on the propensity of buying these two products in view of welfare oriented task for the children

It also addresses how soft skills should be implemented in the curriculum.The paper concludes that future curriculum should be projected to accommodate soft skills as the professional world no longer cherish certificate. The paper recommended that curriculum of the future should be progressive to allow implementation of soft skills; students should be exposed to activities like debate, group work and writing

No full textइ.स १९५२ मे चाँदागड के राजपरीवार मे पैदाहुवे राजकुमार बिरशहाजी अत्यंत संपन्न एंवम विद्यवतापुर्ण बुध्दीमान व्यक्ती है। इनका भाग्योदय इ.स १९५३ मे अंधकारमय हुवा । इनके पिता गोंडराजा कृष्णशहा एंवम मातजी रानी राजेक्ष्वरी तथा इनकी बडी बहन कुंवर राजकुमारी और छोटे भाई इनका कॉलरा महामारी से चाँदागड राजमहल मे देहांत हो गया पुरा परीवार स्वर्गवासी होने से वे बचपन मे उम्र ३-४ साल के दरम्यान अनाथ हो गये , परंतू इनके बडे पिता राजा दिनकरशहा के बडे पुत्र राजकुमार यादवशहा दिनकरशहा आत्राम इन्होने इनकी परवरीश की परंतू वह जो दौर था की , अंग्रेजो से छुटकारा पाने के लिऐ हर रियासत प्रयत्नशील थी। इससे चाँदागड राजपरीवार मे आर्थिक विपन्नता आयी। यादवशहाजी ने चाँदागड के ब्रिटीश कलेक्टर से सहाय्यता लेकर राजकुमार बिरशहाजी को उच्चशिक्षा प्राप्ती हेतू केरल भेज दिया गया। इ.स १९८० मे राजकुमार बिरशहाजी की उच्च्विद्या विभूषित होकर चाँदागड लौट आये परंतू राजपाट संभालते यादवशहाजी आत्राम बडे भाई गंभीर बिमारी से घिरगये। कोई व्यवस्था महल मे नही थी। नाममात्र काही खंडहर महल रह गया था

No full textलाला लाजपत राय की अध्यक्षता में सितम्बर 1920 में कांग्रेस के कलकत्ता अधिवेशन में स्वराज्य की स्थापना होने तक असहयोग कार्यक्रम चलाने की स्वीकृति प्रदान की गयी। इस प्रस्ताव को कार्यरूप में परिणित करने के लिये दिसम्बर 1920 में विजय राघवाचारी की अध्यक्षता में हुये नागपुर के अधिवेशन में असहयोग आन्दोलन के कार्यक्रम का अनुमोदन कर दिया गया। कांग्रेस के ध्येय में भी परिवर्तन हुआ। अब कांग्रेस का ध्येय “भारत के लिये सब प्रकार के उचित तथा शान्तिपूर्ण उपायों द्वारा स्वराज्य प्राप्त करना“। असहयोग आन्दोलन में जो कार्यक्रम चलाये गये, इनमें भारत के सभी वर्गों ने बढ़-चढ़ कर भागीदारी की। असहयोग आन्दोलन देश में अभूतपूर्व उत्साह पैदा कर दिया। देश की जनता में इतनी अधिक उत्तेजना कभी नहीं फैली थी। यह पहला अवसर था जबकि देश की स्वतन्त्रता की लड़ाई को जनता का आधार मिला था। गाँधी जी ने आन्दोलन में भाग लेने तथा उसे सफल बनाने के लिये आमजनता को प्रोत्साहित किया। इसके लिये उन्होने सम्पूर्ण देश का भ्रमण किया। उसी क्रम में गाँधी बुन्देलखण्ड भी आये। बुन्देलखण्ड के जनमानस ने गाँधी जी के नेतृत्व में असहयोग आन्दोलन में अपनी अग्रणी भूमिका का निर्वाहन किया तथा आन्दोलन को सफल बनाने का प्रयास किया
SUB-REGIONAL POPULATION ANALYSIS OF UTTARAKHAND
Get PDFDuring the post-reorganisation period Uttarakhand experienced a stepped up acceleration in its demographic dynamics. In tune with rapid changes in its socio-economic contours the state has witnessed important changes in its demographic complexion (i.e. in various attributes of its population structure). In this paper an effort has been made to examine and analyse the spatio-temporal trends in growth and distribution of population in Uttarakhand, based on census data. The paper seeks to understand the patterns of population growth and distribution from the time of creation of state at sub-regional levels. While the first attribute focuses on population change, no matter whether the change is positive or negative, the second aspects highlights the population’s distributive tendencies in a geographic space. The area of study stands marked by further decline in population growth rate and stepped up tempo of out-migration. Simultaneously, the area of study has witnessed a steady rise of in-migration as well. Consequently, The state of Uttarakhand is on a verge of new demographic threshold which pretends to usher in profound socio economic changes having far reaching implications. Research inquiries relating to growth and distribution of population, forms the very viewpoints for sustainable areal development and financial allocations

Wealthy and resourceful merchants were a characteristic feature of the Indian economy during the Mughal period as well. They easily caught the attention of the foreigners who visited India. In this paper a mild attempt has been made to explore the world of the Indian Bania through the lens of the European sources. The paper not only highlights the commercial aspects and activities of the Bania’s and their arithmetic skills for which they were famous throughout the commercial world but also looks at some of the other important aspects of the Bani’a life as well. There is a brief discussion about the philanthropic activities of the Bania’s. The paper also provides a concise discussion about the position of the Bania’s in the prevailing social structure of India. We also get a sketchy idea about the contemporary European view about the Indian society and economy.

No full textछत्तीसगढ़ राज्य का प्रथम स्वप्न दृष्टा के नाम से जाने जाने वाले डॉ.खूबचंद बघेल छत्तीसगढ़ के महान सपूतों में से एक हैंप् डॉ.खूबचंद बघेल का छत्तीसगढ़ राज्य के निर्माण में महत्वपूर्ण योगदान रहा है। डॉ. खूबचंद बघेल जब छत्तीसगढ़ीया लोगों के अधिकारों के लिए आवाज उठा रहे थे,तब उनकी आवाज पूरे भारत और पूरी दुनिया में ठीक छत्तीसगढ़िया लोगों की तरह उनकी आवाजों का समर्थन कर रही थी। उनके लिए छत्तीसगढ़ राज्य का अर्थ केवल राजनीतिक सत्ता प्राप्त कर लेना भर नहीं था, बल्कि शोषण से मुक्ति और सम्मानित जीवन के लक्ष्य को हासिल करना भी था। डॉ. खूबचंद बघेल की भावना के मूल में क्षेत्रीयता से कहीं अधिक राष्ट्रीयता पूरी प्रबलता के साथ समाहित थी। उन्होंने समाज में व्याप्त अनेक बुराइयों को दूर करने के लिए अनेक कदम उठाए । समाज में व्याप्त छुआछूत, ऊंच-नीच तथा जाति प्रथा की कुरीतियों को दूर करने का भरसक प्रयास किया । इसके लिए उन्हें अपने ही समाज के लोगों का विरोध का सामना करना पड़ा और उन्हें समाज से बहिष्कृत कर दिया गया। उन्होंने सामाजिक बुराइयों को दूर करने के लिए अनेक नाटकों का मंचन किया
