Education in the 21st century is rapidly progressing into new frontiers. Leadership of the education sector requires 21st century skills and mind-sets. Building and preparing principals to embrace and implement these new leadership skills is a critical challenge confronting the education sector today. The experiences of challenges, success and constraints faced by the principals in exercising their 21st century leadership skills need to be unearthed and made sense in order to navigate it with real expertise that twenty first century looks for. The purpose of this qualitative study was to explore the experience of principals’ readiness and preparedness for 21st century leadership skills and to describe and interpret them. The study used purposive sampling, semi-structured in-depth interviews for collecting the data, and Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (Smith et al., 2009) for analyzing the data. The seven principals of Claretian-run secondary schools in northeast India were the participants of the study. The study brought out nine superordinate themes of experience in four domains of 21st century principal leadership and interpretive findings. A further analysis on four domains and their interpretive findings brought out four key leadership roles demonstrated by the principals, namely; 1) Supervising & managing the teaching and learning of the school 2) Stakeholder engagement 3) Personnel resource management and climate building 4) Innovative practice building & Technology resource management. Two dimensions namely, reflective and Claretian, emerged as factors influencing and guiding the leadership practices. The Four domain leadership findings and the framework of key leadership roles and competency models that emerged are in alignment with the six school leadership theories in the extant literature.Principals showed their readiness in four domains of 21st century leadership skills by demonstrating four key leadership roles and corresponding competency areas and skills. The key leadership roles are dynamically interrelated and permeated across the domains of 21st century principal leadership, while their importance in each domain has been significantly experienced by the principals

REPRESENTATION OF WOMEN IN INDIAN ADVERTISEMENT: ‘CELEBRATING AZADI THROUGH MICRO TALES’
The long and checkered past of India is not only a story of her political struggle to gain freedom from the British yoke but also one where women had to fight for their own rights – social, economic, political, legal. Though we have women who have been strongly bonded with the struggle for azadi for matribhumi the mainframe has a different picture to unfold. While strong women have been able to hold on to their forte, the more general class had to suffer oppression and subjugation. However, with the passage of time the scenario has gradually changed to show that with policies and laws women are now making a place of their own. This paper would look at the changing scenario using advertisements as the medium. Advertisements, within a span of few seconds unfold stories that talk about the social condition of society. These micro stories can be used as tropes that convey significant messages. My paper would look at some advertisements that relay the story of how women have gradually appropriated changes in society’s perspective of looking at them. From being judgmental to being emphatic the new order of society is now ready to make way for women in different arenas– and advertisements very aptly capture this shift in perspective. While my paper celebrates the azadi of women, it will also question if enough has been done and what more needs to be done

PHYSICO-CHEMICAL PROCESS OF WASTEWATER TREATMENT IN THE SUGAR INDUSTRY
Sugar industry is an important industry in India and one of the most important substrates of human nutrition. Sugar plays an important role in our daily life. Sugar Industry Various chemicals are used in the production of sugar. In addition to chemicals, water also plays an important role in the sugar manufacturing process of the sugar industry. In the sugar industry, two types of water are used in the production of sugar. First internal water (cold water) and second internal water. External water such as cooling water is used to condense and cool power plant turbines, mill turbines, mill bearings, crystallized sulfur burners, air compressors, vacuum pumps, hot liquid pumps, etc. The agricultural sector and industry are major sectors with water consumption rates of freshwater supplies indicated by the ubiquitous nature of sugar production and require large amounts of freshwater. Freshwater is used in various units of the sugar manufacturing process in sugar mills, producing wastewater that varies greatly in both quantity and quality. Wastewater from these sugar industries is treated by biological processes, and wastewater is also treated by physicochemical processes. At present, the sugar factory properly treats and reuses the wastewater

CULTURE AND GENDER DYNAMICS IN THE CONTEXT OF TRIBES OF INDIA
Existing norms, belief systems, heritage, and customs all contribute to the formation of a society's culture. Society's culture varies by region. A society's established culture dictates gender roles and relationships. Gender is a western concept that refers to the division of labour in terms of male and female. This means that while sex is a biological term, gender is a social construct. Gender denotes the expected roles of men and women in the realms of production, reproduction, and power relations in various spheres of society. Culture evolves and changes to take on its current form. Thus, the factors that shape culture have a substantial effect on gender. India is the world's second-largest home to tribal people. There is a widespread perception that tribal women enjoy significantly more freedom in the workplace, decision-making, and empowerment than the women of other castes in society. Gender roles and relationships are not uniform across the country's tribal communities, but rather vary. Additionally, the process of mainstreaming, displacement, and globalisation have altered their traditional culture and gender relationships significantly. With the introduction and exposure to a modern economy, the concept of women empowerment is rapidly changing among tribes. With the exposure to a market-oriented economy and industrialised society played a significant role in altering tribal women's roles at home and in society. The present paper will throw light on the changing scenario of culture and gender relationships among the tribal communities of the country
