THE CORRELATION BETWEEN LABORATORY AND CLINICAL PERFORMANCE AMONG STUDENT INTERNS AT THE COLLEGE OF NURSING: UNIVERSITY OF CEBU LAPU-LAPU AND MANDAUE
Nursing students can complete nursing operations in their actual clinical activities with the aid of the laboratory function, which is essential for clinical learning and practice. This study intends to ascertain the relationship between laboratory skill performance and actual clinical performance among College of Nursing student at the University of Cebu Lapu-Lapu and Mandaue throughout their on-the-job training program. The findings of this study revealed that section (A) students need to do better in their laboratory skills exercises while the majority of Section (B) only obtained a Satisfactory rating despite doing well. However, both sections were rated Very Satisfactory on their actual clinical duties. The findings further revealed that section (A) has a positive correlation between laboratory and clinical performance, while section (B) has no significant association. The study revealed significant differences between section (A) and (B) laboratory performances while no difference in both clinical performances. The study concludes that even though there is a positive correlation between laboratory and clinical performance, students still need to understand how to effectively carry out their clinical responsibilities regardless of how well they perform on laboratory skill exercises. Even some did not perform well in the lab, they still did a good job when performing their actual clinical duties, which is why this study considers personal, emotional, and behavioral abilities in addition to laboratory functions as additional predictors for nurses' actual clinical performance during their on-the-job training program
THE COLLEGE OF NURSING FACULTY PERCEPTIONS AND ACCEPTABILITY TO THE UNIVERSITY’S STUDENT RETENTION AND ELIMINATION POLICY
Student retention is defined as the extent to which the learners stay or remain at an HEI or Higher Education Institution and complete a program or course of study within a specified period. Several terms are linked to describe retention and its’ policies. Based on research, one of the key components of student success is the faculty. They play a vital role in the student's college experiences, including retention. A college student manual was distributed University-wide and supplemental manuals were created to provide information to the students and faculty regarding rules and regulations. However, despite the presence of these documents, a study regarding the faculty’s perception and whether they accept these policies is still non-existent. The role of the faculty in successful institutional efforts in student retention is not well investigated. Therefore, these weaknesses can challenge the successful outcomes of many institutional efforts, hence creating this research initiative. The purpose of this study is to explore the faculty’s perception regarding the student retention and elimination policy. Moreover, the acceptability, appropriateness, and feasibility of the policy were evaluated. The current research findings and recommendations could assist the University and administration in developing strategic plans to respond more effectively to challenges associated with student retention. The current analysis applied a mixed-methods approach of triangulating the quantitative questionnaire and qualitative interviews. Particularly the concurrent triangulation strategy. . Based on the findings, all areas yielded high acceptability (4.32), highly appropriate (4.375), and highly feasible as reflected in the table. This would mean that the faculty embraced the contents of the student manual about its’ retention and elimination policy. However, four themes emerged during data analysis namely: (A) Dissemination; (B) Orientation; (C) Action; and (D) Revalidation. The faculty members understand the value they bring to institutions’ ability to help retain students, because they care about their success, and strive to incorporate practices that support student retention. The findings show that the faculty have moved beyond needing to be persuaded that they are important to student retention to recognizing the value of their role. Faculty are willing to participate in student retention initiatives that align with their values

TRIBAL SELF-GOVERNANCE AND NATURAL RESOURCE MANAGEMENT IN SCHEDULE AREAS OF JHARKHAND: A CRITICAL ANALYSIS
An institution of self-rule in the tribal village had been in existence since time immemorial. The system of tribal self-governance may be said to be as ancient as the tribals themselves. The village republic must have been formed by the tribal people for managing their village affairs and for maintaining their social solidarity. The Provisions of Part IX of the Constitution are extended to the Fifth Schedule Areas with certain modifications and exceptions by the PESA Act. The Gram Sabha manages the natural resources including land, forest and water in Schedule Areas in accordance with its tradition. However, this power is subject to the provisions of existing laws of land. Tribal peoples have emotional bonding with flora and fauna as most of the tribals are living in and around natural surroundings. They use natural resources as part of their survival while protecting these as part of their duties and obligations. The paper critically examines the function and power of tribal self-governance in fifth Schedule Area of Jharkhand. It also envisages the rights and privileges provided to the tribes under some legislations and how they manage natural resources in Jharkhand. To what extent the laws emphasize the rights and ownership of tribal people and respects their traditions in the control and management of resources

EFFECT OF WASHING ON DELTAMETHRIN CONCENTRATION AND BIO-EFFICACY OF INSECTICIDE-TREATED MOSQUITO NETS
The deltamethrin impregnated mosquito nets not only prevent but also control malaria, dengue fever and other vector-bone diseases. However, the deltamethrin concentration and bio-efficacy of mosquito nets can reduce due to washing. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of washing on deltamethrin concentration and bio-efficacy of military insecticide-treated mosquito nets. High Performance Liquid Chromatography method was used for the determination of deltamethrin in mosquito-nets. Then, the WHO recommended cone and excito-chamber methods were used to determine the bio-efficacy of mosquito nets. The deltamethrin concentrations in the mosquito-net were after no wash (4590±58.54 ppm), 1× wash (4020±47.39 ppm), 2× wash (3225±45.22 ppm), 3× wash (2771±107.5 ppm), 4× wash (2657±58.59 ppm), 5× wash (1835±47.55 ppm), 10× wash (957±34.85 ppm), 15× wash (197±22.54 ppm) and 20× wash (87±23.75 ppm). The mosquito knockdown effects were reduced by washing of net (no wash to 20× wash) after 60 minutes and 6 hours exposure range from 90-40% and 100-70%. The mosquito mortality rate was reduced by washing of net (no wash to 20× wash) after 24 hours exposure were reduced range from 100-80%. The mosquito repellent action was reduced by washing of net (no wash to 20× wash) after 10 minutes and 24 hours exposure, range from 90-30% and 100-60%. The effective bio-efficacy level was found in 5×wash (1835±47.55 ppm of deltamethrin). Therefore, mosquito net should be impregnated again after the 5× wash to obtain the best protection on the public from mosquito bite
NATIONAL EDUCATION POLICY (2020): A STEP TOWARDS BUILDING TEACHERS’ RESILIENCE IN INDIA
In today's world, teachers are confronted with a plethora of challenges throughout their careers. Consequently, many teachers realized that their attitudes about themselves, their pupils, and their job are more pessimistic now than when they first started in the field. These teachers may see a decline in their sense of work satisfaction. So, they need the mental strength to persevere in the face of adversity to develop the resiliency that will allow them to navigate difficult situations successfully. The ability of teachers to be resilient is critical to their success as teachers. In the past, some limited initiatives had been made to systematically strengthen and build resilience characteristics in teachers but could not achieve the targeted objectives. According to National Education Policy 2020, the lack of teaching quality and motivation among Indian teachers is due to the deplorable conditions of teacher education, recruiting, deployment, and service conditions. The need to provide well-rounded service conditions for teachers is emphasized throughout the policy. So, the purpose of this study is to provide an overview of the resiliency of teachers as well as the role of the National Education Policy 2020 in building Teachers' Resilience
AN INVESTIGATION ON ADJECTIVAL NEGATED PREFIXES: CORPUS-BASED APPROACH
The concerns with English negative prefixation for learners of ESL or EFL have been noticed; meanwhile, very fewer guidelines have been so far released for deeper understandings or generalizations. Over-generalized rates have been found and the under-generalization has still inherited in learners' perceptions. These would impede the learners' creativeness by means of word formations and uses. The present research's aim is to fill this gap, finding out the specificities of each negated prefix and to streamline for practical generalizations. Corpus-based method was considered as the rationale approach to this implementation with several advantages. The famous data bank , BNC corpus , was placed to access for exploring new findings. The results were found that some negative prefixes tended to take some certain starting consonants while some were not and some adjectives were able to attach with more than one negative prefixes. Moreover, it suggested that the spirits or the conveying meanings of those preceding negators had inherited their own uniqueness and origins and the matter of borrowing left skeptic
