Psychoanalyticaly Can There Be Another Than Freud’s Clinic ?: On the Status of Lacanian Orientation
International audienceThis intervention questions the status of the psychoanalytic clinic within the Freudian legacy, as Lacan upholds its unity—not as a school or method, but as a dispositif structured by transference, deciphering, and the act. Based on this unity, it highlights the structural impropriety of other clinical practices—however “psychoanalytically inspired” they claim to be—when they are not oriented by this logic. However, by relying on the ethical coordinates that Lacan articulates as early as the “Preliminary Question,” it becomes possible to conceive of certain clinical practices as counter-dispositifs—not psychoanalytic in themselves, but orientable by psychoanalysis.Through the example of Rita Charon’s narrative medicine and a clinical case from public psychiatry involving an asylum seeker, we explore the possibility of an ethical position for the clinician, one that sustains the emergence of truth as cause where knowledge fails to grasp the real. This trajectory, thought in conjunction with Agamben’s theory of dispositifs, invites us to reconsider the reach of psychoanalysis—not as a hegemonic model, but as a compass enabling other practices to preserve a place for the subject and for enunciation, without surrendering to the capture of normative dispositifs.
Experimenting IoT-Edge-Cloud- HPC Continuum on Existing Platforms
International audienceWith the ever-increasing number of IoT devices generating data to be collected, transmitted, processed, and exploited, it becomes necessary that future research infrastructures enable researchers to performs experiments on the full IoT-edge-cloud-HPC continuum. Several existing platforms and an upcoming research infrastructure are described. Then this publication describes 4 experiments on the IoT-edge-cloud-HPC continuum using existing platforms with a focus on assessing their readiness at supporting such research. The limitations that these experiments highlight are then discussed and summarized
Cascaded Voltage-Current Control for Grid-Forming Inverters: Design of Multi-Resonant State-Feedback Controller Using LMI Approach
International audienceGrid-forming (GFM) inverters play a critical role in regulating voltage and frequency to ensure stable operation of isolated microgrids. Among the various control strategies, resonant controllers are recognized as one of the highestperformance solutions for AC current and voltage control. Traditionally, state feedback control implementations based on single loop control have been widely used for GFM inverters. However, these structures exhibit limitations in addressing key issues such as current reference tracking, and overcurrent conditions. To overcome these challenges, this paper proposes a discrete state feedback proportional multi-resonant control strategy implemented within a cascaded voltage-current loop for GFM inverters. This approach enables the controller to handle both current and voltage reference tracking simultaneously. A set of linear matrix inequality (LMI) constraints is employed to synthesize controller gains ensuring robust stability. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy in achieving harmonic mitigation and precise reference tracking

The Impact of Virtual Object Interaction on Episodic Memory: The Role of Bodily-Self Consciousness and Presence
International audienceEpisodic memory, key to reliving specific events [1], is often measured through standardized tests that do not always capture its nuances. Virtual reality (VR), with its immersive environment, offers a new approach to exploring this memory. This study examines the impact of interaction with virtual objects, Bodily-Self Consciousness (BSC), and the sense of presence on episodic memory in VR. Thirty-two participants were immersed in a virtual environment where they could manipulate certain objects. After the experience, they completed questionnaires about their BSC and sense of presence. Twenty-four hours later, a free recall task was used to assess their episodic memory, focusing on the objects, their details, and their location. Participants also rated their confidence in their memories. The results show that interaction with virtual objects improves memory for the objects and their details, highlighting the importance of motor interaction. However, this interaction did not influence participants' confidence in the location of the objects, suggesting that different types of information should be distinguished when evaluating memory. Although the effects of BSC and the sense of presence on memory were not observed, a link between BSC and presence was identified, showing that bodily awareness enhances the perception of presence in VR. These results suggest the need for further investigation into these relationships and the development of more precise assessment tools to better understand episodic memory in VR.</div
International audienceThe process of differentiation is singularly revived during adolescence as it is harnessed in the conquest of otherness, the deployment of creative capacities and the process of becoming a subject. Twinhood in adolescence doubles the difficulties of individuation in relation to Oedipal figures through an acute conflict linked to issues of separation between the twins. Here, the psychological functioning of two homozygous twin sisters in their late teens is explored. The method adopted was based on a semi-structured interview and projective tests whose clinical analysis reflect the constant struggle between undifferentiation and differentiation. The archaic and depressive recurrences identified provide grounds for hypothesizing the existence of a “unicity complex”, specific to homozygous twins, which is severely put to the test during the subjectivation process.
