S-variable approach for generic convex polyhedra
No full textFor long the S-variable approach has proved its efficiency for addressing robustness issues with respect to matrix valued bounded, polytopic uncertainties. The results are extended in this paper to generic convex polyhedra thus allowing robustness analysis with respect to unbounded uncertainties. Results apply to rationnaly-dependent models with respect to such polyhedral uncertainties. Moreover the S-variable approach is proved to be enhanced thanks to a new affine rows-decoupled descriptor modeling of such systems. Examples of application of these results are a reinterpretation of the KYP-lemma as well as a reformulation of the links between sum-of-squares approach and the S-variable approach

Die "koloniale Schuldlüge" im Lügendetektor des DaF-Unterrichts
No full textInternational audienceVor genau hundert Jahren, kurz nach dem Ende des deutschen Kolonialreichs, verwendete Heinrich Schnee zum ersten Mal den Ausdruck „koloniale Schuldlüge“ . Damit spielte der ehemalige Gouverneur von Deutsch-Ostafrika auf die seiner Meinung nach ungerechte Entscheidung des Versailler Vertrags an, der den Deutschen ihre Kolonien entzogen hatte, weil sie unfähig gewesen seien, sie richtig zu verwalten. Indem Schnee den Alliierten Lügen unterstellte, bereitete er den Weg für den Kolonialrevisionismus, der in der Weimarer Republik und später in der NS-Diktatur wiederum (Selbst)lügen und alternative (Un)wahrheiten propagieren sollte. Das breite Spannungsfeld der damaligen Stellungnahmen reichte von der bloßen nostalgischen Verklärung der ehemaligen Kolonien über die aggressive Forderung nach ihrer Rückeroberung bis hin zur schlichten Leugnung ihres Verlusts.An der Université de La Réunion enthalten die Bestände des Fonds Polényk mehrere Dutzend Bücher, die zahlreiche Facetten dieses „Kolonialismus ohne Kolonien“ aufzeigen. Ausgehend von dieser privaten Sammlung soll ein besonderer Fokus auf die Beziehungen zwischen den verlorenen deutschen Kolonien und einer deutschen Jugend, die sie nie kennengelernt hat, gelegt werden. Wie wurde der koloniale Gedanke kurz nach dem Versailler Vertrag unter der deutschen Jugend verbreitet? Und wie kann hundert Jahre später die damalige Kolonialfrage von deutsch-französischen Studierenden wieder aufgegriffen und im DaF-Unterricht behandelt werden? Der Fonds Polényk liefert extreme Beispiele für Manipulation und Propaganda, die noch vor wenigen Jahrzehnten wirksam waren. Er lädt aber auch dazu ein, deren Mechanismen zu entlarven und der Jugend des 21. Jahrhunderts die kritischen Werkzeuge an die Hand zu geben, die eben den früheren Generationen wissentlich vorenthalten wurden. Besondere Aufmerksamkeit soll dabei dem 2022 gegründeten deutsch-französischen Studiengang „Franko-Germanistische Studien: Deutschsprachiger Raum und Überseefrankreich“ gewidmet werden. Auf der Insel Réunion, auch einer ehemaligen (französischen) Kolonie, arbeiten nun deutsche und französische Studierende gemeinsam über die koloniale Vergangenheit ihrer Länder und deren schwierigen Umgang mit kolonialen Wunschträumen und gegenseitigen Lügenunterstellungen

No full textInternational audienceIlse Aichingers literarisches Werk kann nur vor dem Hintergrund der europäischen Umwälzungen des 20. Jahrhunderts gelesen werden. Das Leben der jungen „Halbjüdin“ im nationalsozialistischen Wien, das Exil ihrer Zwillingsschwester in England, die Deportation mehrerer Angehörigen: All diese markanten Ereignisse haben die Dichterin stark geprägt. In ihrem Nachlass werden zahlreiche noch unveröffentlichte Materialien aufbewahrt, unter anderem das Tagebuch der jungen Wienerin und ihr Briefwechsel mit ihrer Zwillingsschwester in den Kriegsjahren, Handschriften, Zeichnungen, Fotografien und Fotoalben, die ein bewegtes Leben dokumentieren. Der Vortrag soll der Frage nachgehen, inwiefern solche Dokumente aus Privatarchiven auch das literarische Werk in einem neuen Licht erscheinen lassen können. Was erzählen uns alte Fotografien aus der Kindheit, das für die Interpretation der Texte relevant wäre? Wie können all diese Archivmaterialien in einer literarischen Perspektive ausgewertet werden, insbesondere die Fotografien und die fünf Fotoalben, die im Deutschen Literaturarchiv Marbach enthalten sind?Nicht nur uns Forscher, sondern auch Ilse Aichinger selbst haben diese Fragen beschäftigt. Am Anfang des 21. Jahrhunderts nahm die damals achtzigjährige Dichterin ihre alten Fotoalben wieder zur Hand, vielleicht zuerst noch in der (trügerischen) Hoffnung, „[ihr] Leben vor- oder zurückblättern zu können“. Dabei begnügte sie sich aber nicht damit, ihre Lebensgeschichte nachzulesen und eine daraus resultierende Nacherzählung mit Bildern aus ihren alten Alben zu illustrieren.Ausgehend von einem Fallbeispiel werden wir sehen, wie aus der Auseinandersetzung mit alten Bildern ganz neuartige Texte entstanden sind, „Blitzlichter auf ein Leben“, die in ihrer Radikalität den Rahmen der vertrauten Kindheitserinnerungen und der herkömmlichen Autobiografien sprengen. Welchen Blick wirft die Achtzigjährige, die die Schrecken des 20. Jahrhunderts hautnah erfahren hat, auf das noch ahnungslose Mädchen der frühen Fotoalben? Wie kommt die Schriftstellerin mit ihrem jungen Selbst, das zusammen mit ihrer Zwillingsschwester in die Kamera grinst und sie aus den alten Fotografien heraus zu beobachten scheint, ins Gespräch? Durch einen Einblick in Aichingers Fotografien und Handschriften wollen wir sie bei der Neuentdeckung ihrer alten Alben begleiten und dabei nachverfolgen, wie ihre Leseerfahrung sich in eine sehr persönliche Schreibgeste verwandelt und allmählig befestigt."Who still has the illusion of being able to turn the pages of their life forwards or backwards?"Reading old photo albums with Ilse AichingerIlse Aichinger's literary work can only be read against the backdrop of the European upheavals of the 20th century. The life of the young ‘half-Jew’ in Nazi Vienna, the exile of her twin sister in England, the deportation of several relatives: all these momentous events had a strong influence on the author. Her estate contains numerous as yet unpublished materials, including her diary and her correspondence with her twin sister during the war years, manuscripts, drawings, photographs and photo albums that document an eventful life. This paper will explore the question of how such documents from private archives can also shed new light on her literary work. What do old photographs from childhood tell us that would be relevant for the interpretation of the texts? How can all these archive materials be analysed from a literary perspective, especially the photographs and the five photo albums contained in the German Literature Archive in Marbach?These questions have preoccupied not only us researchers, but also Ilse Aichinger herself. At the beginning of the 21st century, the then eighty-year-old poet picked up her old photo albums again, perhaps initially in the (illusory)) hope of being able to ‘turn the pages of [her] life forwards or backwards’. However, she did not content herself with retracing her life story and illustrating the resulting retelling with pictures from her old albums.Based on a case study, we will see how the examination of old pictures gave rise to completely new texts, ‘flashes of a life’, which in their radical nature go beyond the framework of familiar childhood memories and conventional autobiographies. How does the octogenarian, who experienced the horrors of the 20th century at first hand, view the still unsuspecting girl in the early photo albums? How does the writer enter into dialogue with her young self, who, together with her twin sister, grins into the camera as if she were looking at her from the old photographs? This exploration of Ilse Aichinger’s photographs and handwritten material will allow us to follow her rediscovery of her old albums and, in so doing, to trace the way in which her act of reading transforms, little by little, into a very personal writing experience that slowly comes into its own
Atypie-Friendly: the French program to improve inclusivity of universities
No full textInternational audienceIn 2015, only 500 autistic students were formally identified in French universities, reflecting both a lack of diagnosis and systemic invisibility of neurodivergent individuals in higher education. The "Aspie-Friendly" project, launched in 2018, aimed to transform this landscape by creating a network of universities committed to inclusive practices. In 2022, the project expanded to include all neurodevelopmental disorders (NDDs) and was renamed as "Atypie-Friendly." As of September 2025, the program involves 25 active institutions and continues to grow, with the ambition of making higher education accessible to all neurodivergent students.Atypie-Friendly adopts a strength-based, participatory approach, providing comprehensive support from the transition to university through to employment. It offers training for staff and students, promotes pedagogical innovation, and develops digital tools. The creation of a Charter and a Label has established a national quality framework, ensuring that all participating institutions meet some standards of inclusivity. The program's impact is evident in the six-fold increase in the number of neurodivergent students identifying themselves and seeking support over six years. This article explores the origins, evolution, and impact of the Atypie-Friendly program, as well as its future challenges, particularly in terms of research and international collaboration

REUTE water optimization in Occitanie : biofilm control in the chain of constructed wetlands and drip-irrigation devices
No full textInternational audienceBioROC is an interdisciplinary project funded by the regional challenge Water Occitany. It aims to improve knowledge on the biofilm control in the REUTE chain based on Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) and intended for irrigation. The research in this project focus on the efficiency assessment of innovative practices based on the Living Labs of Toulouse Métropole and Montpellier Métropole Méditerranée. The goal is to test a panel of NBS (+/- microbiodiversity enhanced by invertebrates) to identify the most suitable constructed wetlands (CWs) for reuse methods by drip-irrigation system. The challenges to be addressed are CWs’ clogging and fouling of fertigation systems by microbial biofilm. Indeed, biofilm quality is acting as a facilitator for the wastewater treatment but also as a limiting factor to the whole chain of process in water reuse by drip-irrigation. The heterotrophic biofilm that lives in the substrate media of CWs is the biological compartment that manages the biodegradation of pollutants from sewage water (Gérino et al., 2022). But it is a major constraint to water infiltration when it develops in excess with clogging effects in the filters and drip-irrigation system. The BioROc’s results will help to identify levers for action to control biofilm dynamics in drip-irrigation systems
Velocity Potential Field Modulation for Dense Coordination of Polytopic Swarms and Its Application to Assistive Robotic Furniture
No full textInternational audienceWe explore the use of a mobile furniture swarm that are intended to assist users with limited mobility in their daily indoor activities. We focus on the multi-robot coordination problem when a dense target pose configuration is required, such as in an apartment setting. In those cases, the convergence of one robot to the target can be significantly affected by neighboring robots with specific shapes. In this letter, we propose a solution, named Velocity Potential Field Modulation (VPFM), to deal with the dense coordination problem of a polytopic swarm in a decentralized manner. We adapt our method to assistive applications, such as room reconfigurations and facilitating indoor movement of wheelchair users. We evaluate the performance of our method in simulations and on real-world mobile furniture hardware, demonstrating its effectiveness and real-time performance

From the stakeholder point of view, it can help on the adoption of oneM2M through indicators such as performance evaluation to assess the performance of their proposed products. IoT platforms customers can define their specific deployment scenarios and evaluate the performance of a given IoT platform against their scenarios. Finally, the Open-Source Communities around oneM2M may benefit from these results by taking the output of the development of the TTF PoC into their roadmaps
