Exploring the Relation between Realised Volatility and Trading Volume: Evidence from International Stock Market
Get PDFObjective: The sequential information theory and mixed distribution hypothesis contends that there exists a bi-directional relation between realised volatility and trading volume. This position has led to the proposition that new information spreads sequentially and reaches market participants at varying times. The purpose of this study was to re-examine these theories. Research Design & Methods: A Granger causality test, Mean Square Error and Mean Average error models were applied to investigate the relationship between realised volatility and trading volume for a sample of five international stock markets from March 5, 2018, to March 5, 2023. Findings: The findings of this study contradict the proposition put forth by the sequential information theory and mixed distribution hypothesis where no meaningful relationship was observed between realised volatility and trading volume except for the CAC 40. Hence, new information rather filters through financial markets at the same time. This finding maybe the explanation for the ever-increasing financial contagion between financial markets. Contribution & Value Added: Traders may need to rely on other indicators and adjust their strategies to incorporate different signals or factors that are more relevant for predicting or identifying market movements. It may become more challenging to gauge the liquidity conditions in the market based solely on volatility. Market participants may need to rely on other liquidity indicators, such as bid-ask spreads, order book depth, or trade size distribution, to assess market liquidity
The Influence of Intrinsic Factors on Personal Attitude to Start a Farming Business: The Moderating Role of Gender
Get PDFObjective: The aim of this study was to determine the influence of intrinsic factors (proactiveness, motivation, creativity) on the personal attitude of agricultural students to start a farming business in South Africa. This relationship was looked at from gender perspective. Research Design & Methods: An estimated 3,486 students were enrolled for various agriculture-related qualifications in various 27 institutions of higher learning in South Africa when this cross-sectional, quantitative study was carried out. Data from 421 agricultural students were collected through a Prospective Farmers Profile Questionnaire at six institutions of higher learning in South Africa. Findings: The study finds no significant gender influence on all intrinsic factors and also on the personal attitude of agricultural students to start a farming business. The results further revealed that personal attitude to start a business is predicted by intrinsic factors, motivation, and creativity, but not proactiveness. Implications and Recommendations: Entrepreneurial syllabi should aim to equip students with intrinsic factors as these shape the personal attitude to start a business. It is a positive personal attitude that will likely result in a start-up. Farming entrepreneurship, especially among the youth will assist in employment creation as well as food security, two problems that many countries are currently facing. Contribution & Value Added: Proactiveness is one of the most important dimensions of entrepreneurship but agricultural students do not consider it significant in their personal attitude to start a business. Proactiveness should be built into the syllabi for students to be better acquainted with this critical business start-up element

Capital structure is a comparison on between a company’s long-term debt and its own capital in a company. There are several factors than can affect the capital structure, some of which are Profitability, Company Size, and Liquidity. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Profitability, Company Size and Liquidity on the Capital Structure of Food and Beverages Manufacturing Companies Listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange in 2018-2021. The population of this study is all Food and Beverages Sub Sector companies listed on the the Indonesian Stock Exchange for the period 2018-2021. The method used for sampling is purposive sampling and obtained as many as 20 food and beverage company. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis with the help of SPSS application. The result of this study indicate that: 1)Profitability, company size and liquidity have a simultaneous effect on capital structure, 2) Profitability has a negative and significant effect on capital structure partially, 2) Company Size has a positive and significant effect on capital structure partially, 3) Liquidity has a negative and significant effect on capital structure partially

Get PDFThe purpose of this study was to find out whether there is an influence between Islamic branding, product quality, and Halal lifestyle variables on the purchasing decision of Muslim clothing for the Nadheera Luxury brand in Jepara Regency. This research is a quantitative study, taking samples with purposive sampling, 96 consumers were selected who had bought the luxury Muslim clothing brand Nadheera in Jepara Regency. Data analysis techniques used instrument testing, classical assumption testing, and hypothesis testing using the SPSS 25 application. The results of this study indicate that Islamic branding, product quality, and halal lifestyle variables partially or simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions for Muslim clothing brands. Is it true that Non-Performing Financing is a Risk Mitigation effort?
Get PDFDistribution of financing to customers is inseparable from various risks, such as failure of financing, as evidenced by repeated arrears in paying credit. Various efforts were made to save the health of the Sharia People's Financing Bank (BPRS). The purpose of this study is to determine effective and efficient non-performing financing (NPF) settlement strategies for murabahah financing and the obstacles encountered in completing NPF murabahah financing as a risk mitigation effort. The method used is a qualitative approach with a field approach. The data collected is primary and secondary data for 2020–2022, using observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The results of the first study show that non-performing murabahah financing continues to increase. In 2020, 5%, in 2021, 10%, and in 2022, 14% Second, if there are indications of a problem with murabahah financing being stuck, it is resolved through a personal approach by deliberation, routine billing via telephone or WhatsApp, home billing, and 3 warning letters. If there is a response or good faith, restructuring is carried out through restructuring, rescheduling, and reconditioning, and if with this step the customer has no ability to complete the financing, the sale of collateral will be carried out. Meanwhile, if the settlement steps have been taken but the customer has no response or no good faith, then the sale of collateral items is carried out and a simple lawsuit is filed with the Religious Courts. The three obstacles encountered in completing murabahah financing, namely customers disappearing or running away by going out of town, lack of understanding of customers regarding financing restructuring, customers deliberately removing goods or vehicles that are used as collateral objects, and customers who always show rude attitudes or behavior, have to be approached many times and definitely require a lot of energy, time, and money

The focus of someone's desire to become an entrepreneur is because of a motivation, both internal and external. This existing motivation has a role so that entrepreneurs can run the business according to expectations, this sustainability certainly needs to be supported not only in terms of soft skills but also hard skills that need to be provided. The purpose of this service is to provide training in increasing understanding regarding business ethics, so that activities or activities that are already running can be better due to understanding and practice in the form of following norms or rules related to business ethics. The implementation method used in this study: preparation or outreach, training and mentoring. The results of this study are that MSME actors can utilize and apply business ethics in improving business so that a goal can be achieved in the form of continuous prosperity and sustainability.

No full textPada pendidikan sekolah dasar (SD) terdapat mata pelajaran Bahasa Jawa, dimana bahasa jawa merupakan salah satu bahasa komunikasi yang digunakan dipulau Jawa. Awal mula bahasa jawa yaitu ditulis menggunakan huruf turunan dari huruf Brahmi atau Pallawa yang berasal dari sebelah selatan India dengan menggunakan huruf Hanacaraka yang di masih dipakai hingga saat ini. Saat ini dunia mengalami wabah penyakit yang disebabkan oleh virus yang disebut corona atau Covid-19 (Coronavirus Diseases-19), Penutupan sementara lembaga pendidikan sebagai upaya menahan penyebaran pendemi covid-19 di seluruh dunia berdampak pada jutaan pelajar, salah satunya pendidikan sekolah dasar. Berdasarkan hasil observasi dan wawancara di SD Negeri 1 Bulungan kecamatan Pakis Aji kabupaten Jepara, dalam proses berlangsungnya belajar antara siswa dan guru dan pembatalan penilaian belajar berdampak pada psikologis anak didik dan menurunnya kualitas keterampilan siswa. serta media pembelajaran yang digunakan masih berupa media cetak seperti buku, lembar kerja siswa, dan tulisan dipapan tulis. Dengan demikian proses belajar mengajar kurang interaktif serta kurang memberikan daya tarik bagi siswa. Berdasarkan permasalahan di atas, maka peneliti bertujuan untuk merancang game edukasi Bahasa Jawa yaitu aplikasi edukasi pengenalan aksara jawa untuk meningkatkan minat belajar siswa yang di buat dengan aplikasi Construct 2 dan di rancang menggunakan metode ADDIE (Analysisys, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) dan Algoritma Fisher-Yates Shuffle. Game edukasi dirancang dengan tujuan dapat meningkatkan minat siswa belajar tanpa merasakan bosan. Aplikasi ini telah di uji oleh ahli materi dengan hasil 100%, ahli media sebesar 100% dan responden sebesar 86,75 % yang berarti aplikasi ini sangat layak untuk digunakan. Pengaruh Leverage, Profitabilitas, Dan Arus Kas Operasi Terhadap Earning Per Share Pada Perusahaan Property dan Real Estate Yang Terdaftar Di Bursa Efek Indonesia Periode 2017-2019
Get PDFThis study aims to determine how much earning per share or earnings per share given by the company which is calculated from the leverage, profitability and operating cash flow. This study uses three independent variables consisting of leverage, profitability and operating cash flow and the dependent variable, namely earnings per share. This type of research is quantitative research. The population in this study were property and real estate companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2017-2019. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling method and the data analysis method used was the classical assumption test, hypothesis test and multiple linear regression using the SPSS 25 assistance program.The results showed that the profitability had a positive and significant effect on earnings per share. Meanwhile, leverage and operating cash flow have no effect on earnings per sharePenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar earning per share atau laba per lembar saham yang diberikan oleh perusahaan yang dihitung dari leverage, profitabilitas dan arus kas operasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan tiga variabel independen yang terdiri dari leverage, profitabilitas dan arus kas operasi dan variabel dependen yaitu earning per share. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah perusahaan property dan real estate yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia periode 2017-2019. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode purposive sampling dan metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji asumsi klasik, uji hipotesis dan regresi linear berganda dengan menggunakan program bantuan SPSS 25. Saat ini jika masyarakat ingin menyewa mobil maka penyewa akan menghubungi kantor Ha Transport melalui telepon atau whatsapp menanyakan ketersediaan mobil yang dibutuhkan oleh penyewa kemudian penyewa datang ke kantor untuk melakukan transaksi sewa dengan melampirkan fotocopy KTP. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah membangun dan merancang suatu sistem rental mobil berbasis web pada Cv. Ha Transport Pati dengan menggunakan metode pengembangan waterfall. Hasil dari penelitian ini telah dibangun aplikasi rental mobil pada Ha Transport, dengan dibuatnya aplikasi rental mobil ini membantu Cv. Ha Transport menjadi lebih cepat dan efisien dalam membuat laporan transaksi sewa karena sudah terkomputerisasi sehingga tidak harus mencari data-data yang di arsipkan sebelumnya. Faktor-Faktor Yang Mempengaruhi Struktur Modal Perusahaan
Get PDFThis study aims to explain the variables of firm size, profitability, tangibility and non-debt tax shield in influencing the company's capital structure. The research population is Manufacturing Companies listed on the Indonesian Sharia Stock Index (ISSI) for the 2016-2021 period. The data used in this study is panel data from 16 samples of selected companies, with a total sample of 54. The results show that firm size, profitability, tangibility, and non-debt tax shield have a positive and significant effect on the company's capital structure
