Perencanaan Rute Angkutan Barang Dikawasan Industri Lubuk Gaung Kota Dumai
The Dumai City Government plans to change the Freight Transportation Route, which originally passed through Cut Nyak Dien Street, and will be redirected to the Parit Kitang alternative route. This route change is expected to impact issues such as road damage and pollution. Therefore, a study on the capacity and performance of the road segments is necessary. The objective of this research is to assess the performance of Cut Nyak Dien Street after the separation of heavy vehicles and the performance of Parit Kitang Street following the change in the freight transportation route, according to the PKJI 2023 method, and to simulate it using the PTV Vissim 9 Student Version application. This research evaluates the effectiveness of rerouting heavy vehicles from Cut Nyak Dien Street and using Parit Kitang Street as an alternative route to reduce congestion. The results show that the diversion of heavy vehicles from Cut Nyak Dien Street has proven effective in reducing traffic flow and saturation levels, as well as improving the Level of Service (LOS). Parit Kitang Street, as an alternative route, shows excellent results with low saturation levels and high LOS (A to C), indicating its ability to accommodate the additional traffic flow well. A 10-year projection shows that Cut Nyak Dien Street will experience a significant increase in traffic flow and saturation levels, leading to congestion if no intervention is made. To address potential congestion and improve traffic conditions, changes to the freight transportation route and the use of alternative routes such as Parit Kitang Street are highly recommended

This study aims to evaluate the efficiency of Container and Break Bulk loading and unloading services on routine barges of PT Snepac Multi Perkasa Batam. Through qualitative and descriptive approach, data has been collected through direct observation, interview, and documentation analysis. The research results are expected to provide a better understanding of the constraints in achieving service efficiency, with conclusions and recommendations to improve the company's operational performance and customer satisfaction. This research has been carried out for two months from the beginning of June to the end of July 2024. The research has been conducted at PT Snepac Multi Perkasa Batam. The results show that the efficiency of loading and unloading services has not been maximized, mainly due to the less than optimal condition of equipment, time management, and ineffective resources. Penerapan Teknologi Optichal Character Recognition (OCR) pada Aplikasi Pengenalan Tulisan Arab Melayu
This research aims to develop an Optical Character Recognition (OCR) based application to recognize, translate, and learn the Arabic-Malay script in Bengkalis. The application is designed to help users easily understand Arabic Malay characters and includes a feature for learning to write Arabic-Malay letters. To enhance performance, this research suggests further development of the OCR algorithm, the addition of training datasets, image preprocessing optimization, and providing usage guidelines for various lighting conditions. Interactive features and improved educational content are also recommended to enrich user experience. The results indicate that the application can recognize and translate Arabic-Malay script with an average accuracy of 25%. The application performs optimally under adequate lighting conditions but experiences a significant decline in accuracy in low-light conditions, particularly at very low lighting levels (3.5 lux). In terms of usability, the application scored 82.7 on the System Usability Scale (SUS), placing it in the "Good" category with a "B" grade, indicating good user acceptance and high usability

Penerapan Keselamatan Dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3) Batching Plant Di PT. Dumai Jaya Beton
Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) is a program developed by workers and employers to prevent accidents and occupational diseases by identifying potential hazards and taking anticipatory actions. This study evaluates the implementation of OSH at the batching plant of PT Dumai Jaya Beton and examines whether there are significant differences in its implementation across various aspects, such as Training and Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Supervision and Maintenance of Equipment, and Operating and Safety Procedures. Data were collected through surveys conducted among employees and workers. The results indicated that overall OSH implementation was categorized as good, with compliance rates ranging from 71% to 88%. ANOVA tests revealed no significant differences in OSH implementation across different aspects, suggesting that safety standards were consistently applied throughout the work areas. However, certain aspects, such as the use of safe transfer lines and routine tool maintenance, still need improvement. Therefore, it is recommended that the company optimize training programs, enhance supervision and tool maintenance, and update operating and safety procedures to create a safer and more efficient working environment

Design and analysis of a current and voltage monitoring system on a low voltage distribution network based on the Internet of Things (IoT) is a system designed to simplify and shorten the time to carry out work, knowing the load used by consumers. The general working system of this tool will be designed using the Telegram application and the Huawei E5372 Bolt Slim Wifi modem as an indicator in the form of a user display so that it can be accessed remotely. The PZEM004T sensor is a sensor that can detect current, voltage and power so that it can determine consumer usage. From the test results, when the load is still below the maximum value, the sensor sends data to Telegram with the status (Normal Load) and when the load is above the maximum value, the sensor will send data to Telegram with the status (Over Load). From the test results, the data obtained used a maximum value of 7000 W and 5000 W. Data collection was carried out for 4 days, and the results of data collection showed that the values on the PZEM-004T sensor and amperage or multifunction clamp measuring instrument were not much different from the real thing. , the tool runs with the desired data exactly

Auditing the correspondence information system in Rimbas Sekampung Village by applying the COBIT 5 framework, especially in the Align, Plan, and Organize (APO) domain. The APO domain in COBIT 5 provides comprehensive guidance for ensuring that information technology is aligned with organizational goals, planned effectively, and organized efficiently. The research began with an in-depth understanding of the current correspondence information system in Rimbas Sekampung Village. Next, the COBIT 5 APO framework is applied to evaluate the extent to which the information system is aligned with the village's strategic goals, the effectiveness of the information technology planning process, and the efficiency of the organizational structure related to managing correspondence. The audit area includes establishing an effective information technology governance structure, developing information technology policies and strategies that are in line with village goals, as well as optimizing information technology resources through appropriate planning and organization. This research uses a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods to assess the maturity and effectiveness of the APO process. It is hoped that the results of this audit will provide valuable insights and recommendations to improve the correspondence information system in Rimbas Sekampung Village, so that it is not only in line with village needs but also makes a positive contribution to the efficiency and effectiveness of correspondence management

The Bengkalis State Polytechnic Marine Engineering Mini Shipyard often finds work or the process of making fiberglass ships. Every time you carry out the mold making process, you first cut or carve the part of the plywood or board you want to make a mold from. After carrying out the sanding or cutting process, of course the dust from the fibers is scattered. Therefore, the author designed a dust suction system that will be used in a mini shipbuilding engineering yard. With this dust suction system, of course it can simplify the work process on fiberglass boats at the Mini Marine Engineering shipyard, such as sucking up dust or dirt on fiberglass boats from the Marine Engineering Department. This tool will later be used not only in mini yards, but can also be used in pipe and plate workshops. By having two working systems, namely sucking and blowing, this tool will be very useful as a tool to help workers in carrying out work processes in mini yards and in pipe and plate workshops
