No full textPerformative diversity, as described by Presidio Graduate School, is a surface-level commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) that doesn't lead to any long-lasting change in racial equity. Many prominent NYC theaters made public declarations of support for marginalized communities but did not follow through with any structural changes. Theaters still cling to whiteness as the norm, focusing more on appearances than on real accountability. Genuine inclusivity goes beyond just making statements – it requires thoughtful policies, fair practices, and a real effort to elevate BIPOC voices both on and off the stage. Acknowledging these systemic shortcomings is the crucial first step toward reshaping theater into a space where every story is truly valued. The subject of my research in this project is the development of a game in Godot, emphasizing storytelling and balancing it with interactive gameplay elements to increase player immersion. The story follows the player character, who will start on an island that gets taken over by the story's antagonists - a cultlike group seeking to offer up the island and its inhabitants to a dormant deity. The player is given the opportunity to affect the route of the story by interacting with different characters, collecting items, and encountering enemies. No full textProcrastination is a common practice that is used to delay a task. However, the reasons for procrastination can differ from person to person. Procrastination can be used as a tactic or work strategy to help with work completion, despite others using procrastination to avoid work. With this being said, we can see how procrastination can be beneficial to the self for various reasons. Whether using it as a tactic or defense mechanism. Essentially both are putting one's own needs over others. Could this be translated into traces of narcissistic tendencies? In this study we aim to find out if procrastination and its various types can predict narcissistic qualities and traits, and see if there is a strong correlation between them. We aim to provide more research on why procrastinators do what they do and to provide insight on what the intention/motive of this practice may be.
