    Professional sports contracts have skyrocketed over the last decade, raising questions about how player value can be measured in relation to their salaries. The study conducted highlights Major League Baseball's (MLB) top 100 players based on the statistic Wins Above Replacement (WAR), to better understand which statistics were most effective at measuring player value and player salaries.
