Cattleya was one of the most popular orchids by Indonesian. Constraints in cultivating Cattleya included the lack of water availability in an area, causing drought stress. Stress in drought in vitro can be simulated by adding Poly Ethylene Glycol 6000 and growth regulators in atonic form. The purpose was to determine the effect of atonic solution and PEG 6000 on the stomata index toward in vitro drought stress conditions. This study was carried out in a 3 x 3 factorial experiment. Factor A was an atonic solution with 3 concentration levels: 0 mL/L, 2 mL/L, and 3 mL/L. Factor B is PEG 6000 with 3 concentration levels: 0% b/v, 20% b/v, 25% b/v. The results showed that the higher the concentration of PEG 6000 and atonic concentrations caused a decrease in the stomata index of Cattleya orchid plantlets under drought stress conditions in vitro

Chicken is one of the bird species used as a source of animal protein which is very enjoyable and known by society. One chicken species that widely cultivated are the male layer. However, there was frequently obstacle in the maintenance, one is caused by parasite species of coccidia that causes coccidiosis. This research is conducted in November 2016 on a livestock farm, Kelurahan Segalamider, Kecamatan Tanjung Karang Barat, Kota Bandar Lampung. This research aims to determine the type of parasite egg that causes coccidiosis and to determine the prevalence of coccidia attack on the male layer. This research uses a proportionate clustered random sampling method, which took 100 samples of the male layer faces randomly from each cage as much as 25 samples. The identification using the guide book of Conway and McKenzie (2007) and the calculation of the number of parasite eggs using EPG  Mc. Master assay in Balai Veteriner Lampung. Data were analyzed descriptively by displaying data in tables and figures. The result showed that there are five species of Eimeria, namely Eimeria tenella, Eimeria maxima, Eimeria brunetti, Eimeria nikamae, and Eimeria mitis that found in oocyst sporulated form and oocyst not sporulated. The parasite causes coccidiosis in the male layer is Eimeria tenella with prevalence values of coccidia attack by 20%

Paraquat is one of the chemicals that contributes to increasing pollution Indonesia. The careless use of paraquat can increase production of ROS (Reactive Oxygen Species), resulting in damage to a wide range of vital organs and reproductive system disorders such as infertility. ROS in the body can be captured by antioxidants. Red Ginger contains high antioxidants because there are active phenolic compounds such as gingerol, shagaol, zingeron, ginggerdiol, and zingibren which are proven to protect body cells from damage caused by ROS. This study was aimed to test the effectiveness of red ginger extract (Zingiber officinale Roxb. Var. Rubrum) on the quantity and quality of sperm in male mice (Mus musculus L.) induced by paraquat dichloride. This research uses a completely randomized design and is divided into six treatment groups with each four replications: K1 as the control group (only given H2O); K2 (paraquat induced a dose of 20 mg/kg Body Weight (BW) without the administration of the test substances); K3; K4; K5 (paraquat induced a dose of 20 mg/kg Body Weight (BW) and was given a red ginger extract at a dose of consecutive succession 6 mg / ml, 12 mg / ml, 18 mg / ml) and K6 (Only given a test material the red ginger extract as much as 18 mg / ml). Paraquat was given 2 times a week for 21 days and the red ginger extract was given for 35 days. The results of analysis by One-way ANOVA followed LSD at 5% significance level showed the ethanolic extract of red ginger can increase the sperm count, motility, viability and Morphology sperm of mice induced by the paraquat diklorida

Taman Hutan Raya Wan Abdul Rachman (Tahura WAR) is a protected forest area and habitat for various types of plants and animals. Tahura WAR is an area that has a high diversity of ferns, ferns are quite heterogeneous plants both in terms of habitat and way of life, ferns are one group of vascular plants that have a fairly high number of species, live in nature, some are attached to tree trunk (epiphyte) or grow on the ground. This research was carried out in the utilization block of Sumber Agung, which focused on fern species diversity, diversity, dominant species, and descriptions of types of ferns. This research was carried out by direct observation based on the existence of all types of ferns that are considered to represent the place. Based on observations in general, ferns are composed of 37 species, 28 genera, and 14 families. The highest number of ferns is Polypodiaceae with 8 species. With the Shannon-Wienner (H') diversity index of H’= 2.9. Type N. acutifolia dominates this research area with an INP value of 25.8%

Jeruju had various chemical components. This study was conducted on the teratogenic test of jeruju leaf extract to determine abnormalities in fetal mice (Mus musculus L.). This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) method with 20 pregnant female mice divided into 4 groups: 1 group as a control and 3 groups treated with a dose of 3.75 mg/30grBB, 7.5 mg/30grBB, 15 mg/grBB, each with jeruju leaf extract consists of 5 repetitions. The results showed that the doses of 7.5 mg/30grBB and 15 mg/grBB significantly decreased fetal weight and length when compared with controls. This is suspected because there is an active substance in the jeruju leaf extract which is cytotoxic. Anatomically the administration of jeruju leaf extract does not cause abnormalities in the structure of the fetal spine of mice. This is due to the growing fetus taking priority from the many types of nutrients in the mother fluid so that the fetal bone can continue to grow and develop
