Seawater temperature ranges from -2 0 c to 300 c. Low temperatures are usually found in seawater around the poles and on the deep seabed. Meanwhile, high seawater temperatures are found in the sea in the Arid area. The Red Sea and Bab El Mandeb have temperatures of about 290 c to 300. Corrosion is a subject matter that concerns various disciplines, or in other words, it connects elements of physics, chemistry, metallurgy, electronics and engineering. This study uses the literature review study method to collect, identify, evaluate the effect of seawater content on the corrosion of the hulls of warships made by PT Pal Indonesia. An effective corrosion control strategy should be selected with the selection of suitable coatings for the marine environment. Hull plating with paint has a special function to protect the construction of the hull, especially those located below the waterline and the construction of the ship above the waterline

Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are among the most commonly prescribed drugs for pregnant women to treat fever, pain and inflammation. Specific NSAIDs can displace thyroid hormone from its protein binding sites, causing thyroid hormone measurement problems. {1,3 bis (p-Hydroxyphenyl)urea} is a modified p-aminophenol compound with potent analgesic and anti-inflammatory activity and less toxicity. This study is a follow-up to previous research to observe the toxic effect on triiodothyronine hormone levels after administration of {1,3 bis(p-Hydroxyphenyl)urea} compound in pregnant white rats. The toxic effect test was carried out by giving the test preparation to pregnant rats, which had been divided into five groups, namely the normal control group (CMC-Na 0.5%), the positive control (Gabapentin 50 mg/kg BW), Compound {1.3 bis (p- Hydroxyphenyl)urea} at a dose of 50 mg/kg BW, 500 mg/kg BW and 1000 mg/kg BW. Mice were given the test preparation every day from the 6th to the 15th day of pregnancy. Blood was taken on the 16th day, and T3 hormone levels were measured using the ELISA method. The results showed that the T3 hormone levels in the {1,3 bis(p-Hydroxyphenyl)urea group had no significant difference from the normal control group, so it was concluded that {1,3 bis(p-Hydroxyphenyl)urea) did not have a significant effect on the hormone T3

One of a plant that is thought to have quite high antioxidant activity is kemloko (Phyllanthus emblica L.). This plant is a material that is often used by the community as a traditional medicine. This plant in India has been used to treat cancer, diabetes, liver (liver), heart problems and anemia. This biological activity is thought to be caused by the presence of bioactive compounds from secondary metabolites contained therein, especially compounds from the phenolic and flavonoid groups. The short length of the estrus cycle of rats makes them ideal for investigation of changes occurring during the reproductive cycle. The estrus cycle lasts four days and is characterized as: proestrus, estrus, metestrus and diestrus, which may be determined according to the cell types observed in the vaginal smear. Since the collection of vaginal secretion and the use of stained material generally takes some time, the aim of the present work was to provide researchers with some helpful considerations about the determination of the rat estrus cycle phases in a fast and practical way. This study began with macroscopic examination, examination of water content, examination of water-soluble extract levels, examination of ethanol-soluble extracts, examination of total ash content, and also an examination of acid-insoluble ash levels, phytochemical screening of Phyllanthus emblica L. fruit nanoherbal and determination of the estrus cycle of female rats. The results of phytochemical screening showed that the compound of Phyllanthus emblica L. Fruit nanoherbal contained a class of secondary metabolites of alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, saponins, steroids/triterpenoids, and glycosides. And the estrus cycle of female rats can be determined by observing changes in vaginal epithelial cells

The majority of the population in Indonesia practices Islam, making halal products important and necessary to meet the rights and needs of Muslim consumers in Indonesia. Therefore, a halal assurance system is required, not only for obtaining halal certification, but also for maintaining continuity in halal production. The existing halal assurance system has been manual, hence the need for an automated computer-based information system that can assess the halal assurance system implemented by companies. This can make it easier and faster for novice users to assess the implementation of halal practices in a company. The ID3 algorithm is used to create decision trees, and the forward chaining algorithm is used for comparison. The web-based system is developed using PHP language and MySQL for data storage. Testing the system by comparing the final results with the manual calculations, as well as using the ID3 and forward chaining algorithms, yields the same results, indicating the successful development of assessment system of halal product assurance. In addition, user satisfaction testing resulted in a score of 87.34%, indicating that users are highly satisfied with the JaminHalal information system

Simplification of the Prony Brake Dynamometer System Using Brake Caliper Load

    No full text
The torque of the DC motor needs to be known to determine the maximum load that can be exerted at a given speed. Torque measurement can be done with a dynamometer. The dynamometer uses the Prony Brake type, which uses the principle of frictional force to provide a load on the motor. The application of frictional force uses brake capillary load to produce a dynamometer with the Prony Brake type that is simple in manufacture and testing but reliable and accurate in making measurements. In the Prony Brake dynamometer, there are usually two pieces of wood used as a link between the motor and the torque arm; at the end of the torque arm, there is a ballast whose ballast value is multiplied by the length of the arm to produce the torque value of the DC motor. The results of the trials that have been carried out are that the reading results of RPM sensors, weight sensors, and voltage sensors have a deviation of less than 2%, and the current sensor readings have a deviation of less than 5%. The Prony Brake dynamometer that has been made can read the maximum torque value with a deviation of about 2% from the existing data

In meeting their daily water needs (bathing and washing), the majority of the people of South Kalimantan (South Kalimantan) have been using river water and peat well water, as is the case for fresh water fisheries. However, the water used is cloudy and smells because it is water that is polluted by household waste, and of course it shows the quality of the water that is still being debated for the process of fish cultivation. In the process of cultivating freshwater fish, the standard mechanism is still used, namely by making tarpaulin ponds for fish ponds and river water as a medium for fish cultivation and the process of providing feed. In the process there are several things about water quality and conditions, and several other issues, namely about water circulation, temperature, humidity, pH and oxygen regulation of fish pond water. Fish excrete waste from leftover feed and metabolism which contain lots of ammonia (Effendi, 2003). Fish excrete 80-90% of ammonia through osmoregulation processes, feces and from urine. To produce quality pond water as a medium for fish cultivation, it is necessary to have a proper and good water filter. This study aims to obtain the best filter substrate in increasing the growth and survival of freshwater fish fry reared using polluted river water in a tarpaulin pond with a recirculation system. The filter method used in this study was an experimental method using one factor Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four treatment levels and three replications. The treatments applied were P0 = Zeolite, Charcoal, Japmate, Bio Foam, P1 = Bamboo, Charcoal, Japmate, Bio Foam, P2 = Bioball, Charcoal, Japmate, Bio Foam and P3 = Bioring, Charcoal, Japmate, Bio Foam. The resulting data were analyzed for analysis of variance (ANOVA), then continued using the BNT test with 95% and 99% confidence intervals. From the results of the study, the measurement results obtained were for the specific growth rate test (SGR) of 1.15%, the survival test (SR) of 86.66% and the feed conversion ratio test (FCR) of 3.10%. While the supporting parameters are water quality, namely the results of water quality, namely, temperature 28.1 – 30.3 0C, pH 7.4 – 8.1, DO 5.24 6.53 mg/L, NH3 0.06 – 0.40 mg/L, NO2 0.056 – 0.90 mg/L and NO3- 0.28 – 0.190 mg/L. In addition to producing filter products that can support SGR, SR and FCR in freshwater fish, it is hoped that this research will also produce scientific paper outputs that will be published in International Conferences/International Journals and become part of the Study Program's Coursebook for the Accounting Department. Computerized Poliban Accounting and can be applied in the community through the Community Service progra
