    PENGEMBANGAN MODUL PRAKTEK INSTALASI LISTRIK DOMESTIK BERBASIS PROYEK UNTUK MAHASISWA TEKNIK LISTRIK

    Based from observation of the learning process of the Domestic Electrical Installation Practice of vocational students of the Electrical Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Padang State University shows that the learning process is not optimal because of practical learning unchallenged students to be creative in planning and implementing Domestic Electrical Installation Practices. The research objective is to develop a project-based practice module that can improve student learning outcomes in the learning process of the Domestic Electrical Installation Practice. Research with Four-D design is applied to develop and test the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of project-based practice modules in learning domestic electrical installation practices. The stages of the research include defining, designing, developing, and distributing. The results of testing the validity of project-based practices indicate that the learning media is valid. These aspects are material, media aspects, and language aspects. Indicates that the project-based practice module is valid to apply in the learning process of Domestic Electrical Installation Practices. The result the data analysis shows that the practice module developed in the Domestic Electrical Installation Practice learning process is valid, it can be concluded that the project-based practice module is valid for use in the learning process Domestic Electrical Installation for Electrical Engineering Study Program students.Observasi awal terhadap proses pembelajaran Praktek Instalasi Listrik Domestik mahasiswa vokasi Program Studi Teknik Listrik, Fakultas Teknik, Universitas Negeri Padang menunjukkan bahwa proses pembelajaran masih belum optimal karena pembelajaran praktek tidak menantang mahasiswa untuk berkreativitas dalam merencanakan dan melaksanakan Praktek Instalasi Listrik Domestik. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengembangkan modul praktek berbasis proyek yang dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar mahasiswa pada proses pembelajaran Praktek Instalasi Listrik Domestik. Penelitian dengan desain Four-D diterapkan untuk mengembangkan dan menguji validitas, praktikalitas dan efektivitas dari modul praktek berbasis proyek dalam pembelajaran praktek instalasi listrik domestik. Tahap-tahap penelitian meliputi pendefinisian, perancangan, pengembangan, dan penyebaran. Hasil pengujian validitas praktek berbasis proyek menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran valid. Aspek-aspek tersebut adalah aspek materi, aspek media, dan aspek bahasa. Ini mengindikasikan bahwa modul praktek berbasis proyek valid untuk diterapkan pada proses pembelajaran Praktek Instalasi Listrik Domestik. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa modul praktek yang dikembangkan pada proses pembelajaran Praktek Instalasi Listrik Domestik valid, dapat disimpulkan bahwa modul praktek berbasis proyek valid untuk digunakan pada proses pembelajaran Praktek Instalasi Listrik Domestik untuk mahasiswa Program Studi Teknik Listrik

    Improvement of the concept of mitosis instruction to improve biological achievement among secondary school students

    The study examined the effects of Improvised Instructional Material Enhanced Biology Achievement among Secondary School Students in Lapai, Niger State. Quasi-experimental design which involved pretest, posttest, experimental and control group. A total of eight five (85) Senior Secondary two (SSII) students randomly selected from two sampled schools formed the sample size of the study. The instrument used for data collection was a researchers’ designed Biology Achievement Test (BAT). The instrument was validated, and pilot tested and yielded a reliability coefficient of 0.75. Two research questions were raised, and two corresponding null hypotheses were formulated to guide the study, the null hypotheses were tested at 0.05 level of significant. The result of the study showed among others a significant difference in achievement score of the experimental and control groups in favor of the experimental group. The finding also showed that both male and female students’ achievements were enhanced equally. It was recommended among others that Biology teachers should be encouraged to improvise instructional materials for effective teaching and learning of Biology.   &nbsp

    Analysis distribution sulfur dioxide and nitrogen dioxide concentration from PLTU Pangkalan susu with callpuff method

    Coal-fired power plants will emit several types of pollutants into the ambient air such as particulates and gases. One way to estimate the extent of the impact distribution of these pollutants is by using air quality modeling. The model used in this study is Calpuff, where this model is a non-steady state model and is influenced by variations in meteorological factors. The research location is PLTU Pangkalan Susu (2x200 MW) with SO2 and NO2 parameters. The purpose of this study was to calculate the concentrations of SO2 and NO2 with Calpuff, to validate modeling with field observations and to simulate the distribution of impacts. The results showed that the concentration of SO2 model obtained was 0.32 - 3.57 µg/m3 and NO2 was 0.51 - 5.15 µg/m3. Meanwhile, the observation results showed that the SO2 concentration was 27 - 39.88 µg/m3 and NO2 was 19.77 - 29.73 µg/m3. The simulation results of the distribution of SO2 and NO2 concentrations with the Calpuff model show that the impact distribution area is in the direction of the wind in the windrose and the affected area is in the southwest of the PLTU Pangkalan Susu. The results of model validation for the values ​​of d = 0.97, r = 0.616 - 0.665 and FB = -1.719 - -1.849, which means that the Calpuff model is quite valid and can be applied to predict the impact distribution area at PLTU Pangkalan Susu

    Implementation of AES-192 cryptography and QR code to verify the authenticity of budi luhur university student certificate

    Nowadays a letter can easily be falsified and used for things that are not appropriate. Budi Luhur University has a work unit that serves student requests for certificate of active students and certificate of graduation. Students need that certificate for apply a job or get a scholarship. To prevent the falsification of letters, a system using PHP programming language and MariaDB database was used to verify the letters. The certificate released by this system will be equipped with a QR Code containing the URL with parameters that have been encrypted with the cryptographic method AES-192. If accessed, this URL will display the data number, name, letter number and date of the letter. The recipient letter can verify the authenticity of the letter by comparing the data in the letter with the data in the system. If the two data are the same, the letter is the original. Based on test results, this system can be used to guarantee the authenticity of a letter

    Blended model of distance learning: Does it effective?

    This study aims to determine whether distance learning is effective to implement. This study compares the blended model of distance learning with traditional learning. What is being compared is student learning outcomes and their perceptions in these two lessons. This research is a quantitative study using a quasi-experimental research design with a time-series model. The population of this research is all 4th-semester students who take Digital Electronics courses. Data collection was carried out in two ways, namely by using several tests for data on learning outcomes and questionnaires for student perception data. Data analysis was made using the t-test for paired samples. The results of the analysis obtained that there are differences in the two samples tested mean and the distance learning blended model has a higher average than traditional learning. This shows that the blended model of distance learning is more effective than traditional learning.Penelitian ini adalah bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah pembelajaran jarak jauh efektif untuk diterapkan. Penelitian ini membandingkan antara pembelajaran jarak jauh model bauran dengan pembelajaran tradisional. Yang dibandingkan adalah hasil belajar mahasiswa dan persepsi mereka pada kedua pembelajaran ini. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif yang menggunakan desain penelitian quasi-eksperimen model time-series. Populasi penelitian ini adalah semua mahasiswa semester 4 yang mengikuti perkuliahan mata kuliah Elektronika Digital. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan dua cara yaitu dengan beberapa tes untuk data hasil belajar dan kuesioner untuk data persepsi mahasiswa. Analisa data dibuat dengan menggunakan uji t untuk sampel berpasangan (tak bebas). Hasil analisis uji t dan perbandingan mean diperoleh bahwa terdapat perbedaan pada kedua sampel rata-rata yang diuji dan pembelajaran jarak jauh model bauran memiliki rata-rata yang lebih tinggi dari pembelajaran tradisional. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran jarak jauh model bauran adalah lebih efektif dari pembelajaran tradisional

    Land subsidence in the city of Semarang based on the results of GPS measurements is quite significant. Land subsidence is a phenomenon that can result in losses and have a negative impact on the environment, therefore research is needed to examine the characteristics of land subsidence. One of the factors causing land subsidence is the influence of the geological conditions of the area, Semarang is a coastal city that contains alluvial deposits. Especially in northern Semarang. The phenomenon of land subsidence occurred in this region. Naturally, the area experienced a decrease in land surface due to the material nature of alluvial deposits. Therefore, the relationship of subsidence to geological conditions can be identified by the overlay method. The results of this study found a  correlation between geological conditions and subsidence in North Semarang.Land subsidence in the city of Semarang based on the measurement results of the Global Positioning System (GPS) is quite significant.     Needs Analysis in Learning Media Development Based on Augmented Reality (AR) for Computer Network Installation Courses

    This needs analysis research consists of field studies and literature studies. Where the purpose of this research is; 1) description of student achievement values ​​and learning processes, 2) the uses and constraints faced by students in the use of learning media Computer Network Installation, 3) formulation of instructional media needed in learning computer network installation. This research belongs to the type of qualitative descriptive research. The subjects of this study were 29 students of Informatics Engineering Education study programs and 2 lecturers of computer network installation courses. Data obtained using a questionnaire and analysis qualitatively through stages; arranging, tabulating, analyzing qualitative data and making interpretations of the results of the analysis according to the problems and objectives of the study which then makes conclusions. The results showed that; 1) there are still many students who have not reached the score above the minimum criteria and fail in carrying out the practicum process, 2) the biggest obstacle faced by students in implementing Computer Network Installation learning is the limitations of using instructional media that are less effective to support independent learning, 3) the media that need developed for learning Computer Network Installation which is learning media based on Augmented Reality (AR)

    The sales strategy determines the continuity of the business being run. The problems that occur are the sales archive data has not been analyzed in-depth, the information system has not been integrated with applications for sales data analysis, online media promotion has not been maximized, inadequate stock of goods, the layout of goods is not optimal, and the combination of the number of products is not optimal. This study aims to extract hidden information in the sales database using Data Mining. From the information generated, sales strategy recommendations are developed relating to promotions, inventory, catalogue design, item layout, and the combination of product quantities. The method used is the association rule with Apriori algorithm to find consumer purchase patterns through the resulting association. The importance of association can be identified by two benchmarks, namely support and confidence. The sales strategy analyzed includes product promotion, catalogue design, product layout, stock predictions, and product combinations for sale. Based on the research produced 7 strong rules which are the highest association rules which are then developed into a sales strategy recommendation

    Development of work based learning models in education of vocational midwifery: part of need analysis

    Skills in the world of work become demands that must be fulfilled by every education practitioner. Vocational education graduates produced by tertiary institutions do not have maximum competencies that are ready to be used for work, so there is often a gap between the competencies desired by graduates and the competencies produced by the education world. Educational literacy is needed to overcome this gap, one of them is by developing work-based learning models in midwifery vocational education. This study aims to analyze the needs of midwifery graduates, midwifery graduates \u27recognition and midwifery lecturers\u27 views on the general competency aspects of midwife graduates and work skills. This study involved five obstetricians from various institutions, five graduates working in various health institutions and five lecturers from various midwifery institutions. The results of the needs analysis showed that the low evaluation of midwifery users regarding the aspects of general competence and work skills of midwives in one year of work, so that the development of work-based learning models in midwifery education is very necessary to equate the desires of graduate users with the graduates produced.
