Get PDFMushrooms have a short shelf life. Therefore, an effort is needed to maintain the quality of mushroom by lowering the temperature and oxygen concentration of the storage room air. This study used a completely randomized design with temperature variations of 5 ° C, 15 ° C, and 28 ° C and variations in oxygen concentration of 3%, 12%, and 21%. Respiration rate measurement using a closed system. Respiration rate is calculated using the Michaelis-Menten equation. The interaction between temperature and oxygen concentration affects the respiration rate of O2 and RQ. The best treatment in this study is storage at 15 ° C with storage of 3% oxygen concentration
AN INVESTIGATION OF SONG-BASED LANGUAGE TEACHING ON TENSES LEARNING
Get PDFGrammar is one of the essential components in English that contains many elements like tenses. English tenses commonly become a problem among Indonesian students. Every English teacher, therefore, is required to provide creative and effective ways of teaching English tenses. This research aimed at investigating the benefits of English songs as teaching devices, the considerations in using English songs, and the teaching procedures. For the third variable, the researcher only focuses on the most frequently used tenses named present simple. The method employed was descriptive qualitative, and the researchers did this current study through three phases. They are data gathering, data analysis, and data presentation. This study reveals several significant findings. Firstly, English songs have many benefits called creating a positive learning environment, motivating the students, giving cultural information, and teaching linguistics knowledge. Secondly, there are at least five considerations in using English songs as teaching devices. They are the teaching topics, language level, student age, cultural issue, and song accessibility. Thirdly, there are three essential teaching procedures. They are warm-up activity, main activity, and additional activity. Overall, English songs are useful teaching devices in the EFL context, and they can effectively be used to teach language elements like tenses

This research was conducted at DPUPR Sragen Regency. The population in this study were 120 employees. The research sample of 60 respondents with purposive sampling technique. Data instruments in the form of a questionnaire. Data analyzed with inductive statistical techniques. Hypothesis tested by multiple regression analysis models, t test and F test. Regression test results obtained Y = -2,981 + 0,415 X1 + 1,073 X2 + 0,453 X3. No full textBroiler chicken farming in Indonesia makes a real contribution to development, has a strategic value in fulfilling the need for animal protein and has a role in taking advantage of job opportunities. However, broiler chicken farms also have a negative impact on the environment such as pollution caused by livestock waste that is not managed properly. The purpose of this research is to determine the quality of water sources physically, chemically and biologically and to determine whether there is pollution or not. This research was conducted using a survey method. The research target is the community around the broiler chicken farm at a distance of 0-375 m from the cage with a sample of 45% of the total population. Sampling using purposive random sampling method. The results showed that the measurement of water quality in residential wells near broiler chicken farms exceeded the class I water quality threshold according to Government Regulation No. 82 of 2001 concerning Water Quality Management and Water Pollution Control and in general, the quality of community well water has been polluted.

Get PDFFish is a source of animal protein that all levels of society can accept. This protein's benefits will be obtained optimally if the fish's quality remains in the excellent category. A preservation method such as freezing and salting is needed to maintain the excellent quality of fish. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of preservation by freezing and salting on milkfish (C.chanos) quality. The research implementation time was 15-17 July 2019. Some of the treatments used were milkfish (C.chanos) without salting (control), 20% salting, 30% salting, 40% salting, and just freezing. An organoleptic test with a scoring method was conducted to determine the quality of the fish. Number 1 was the lowest value, while number 9 was the highest. The scoring results were then analyzed descriptively. The observations showed that the freezing method gives the best results, following the 40% salting method, 30%, and 20% salting. The lowest results were obtained in control fish (without treatment)

Get PDFWater turbidity will impact how far the level of distribution of suspended and dissolved particles will affect the life of marine biota. This study aimed to determine the distribution of suspended and dissolved particles in the waters of Teluk Kelabat Luar. Water sampling was carried out in July 2019, representing the east monsoon. Determination of the water sampling location was by purposive sampling method, and then the data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the concentration of total suspended solids (TSS) on the surface (1 m) of Teluk Kelabat Luar has the highest concentration at point 4 (KL 4) with TSS concentrations in the range of 36,5 mg/L and point 14 (KL 14) in the range of 34,0 mg/L. Point 4 was the post-tin mining location. From this, it could be seen that the waters are still affected even after mining activities, namely the high concentration of TSS. The analysis of total dissolved solids (TDS) showed the highest concentration at point 12 (KL 12). The sedimentation rate in Teluk Kelabat Luar is in the medium-severe category, which is around 1,92 mL/hour. The results showed that mining had a tremendous effect on the level of suspended particles in the waters
PUPPET PICTURES AS STORYTELLING MEDIA TO TEACH ENGLISH VOCABULARY FOR YOUNG LEARNERS

It is effective for reference in choosing the applicable media or techniques for teaching and learning. Here, this study concerns describe the relevant media to teach vocabulary to young learners, exclusively where the first language (L1) of the plurality of the learners are not Native-English. Due to young learners learn English as a foreign at the beginner level, the learning strategies and teaching media which are given by teachers should be appropriate with them. Teachers have to develop their ideas in electing suitable media to teach young learners. Then, this paper, based on reviews of literature, explores the use of Puppet Pictures as storytelling media to teach young learners. Puppet Pictures is one of the interactive media which can persuade young learners to attend with the learning. The result indicates that the Puppet picture is able to allow the learners’ attention to the lesson. It can be played through a story. It helps young learners understand the new vocabularies by seeing the real objects and acquiring the learning process

Principally, the starch's moisture content is adjusted to 10-35% and then exposed to heat (90-120°C) above the glass transition and gelatinization temperature for 15 minutes until 16 hours. Low moisture content did not allow starch gelatinization. In this work, cocoyam starch was modified using HM, with the moisture content of 25% and heating temperature of 105°C for 4 hours. Results show that HMT did not disrupt the cocoyam starch granule structure, while it increased swelling power and water binding capacity and decreased oil binding capacity compared to native starch
Analisis Perbandingan Karakteristik Fisik Tepung Terigu, Tepung Tapioka, dan Tepung Mocaf Nuflour sebagai Upaya Peningkatan Kualitas Tepung MOCAF di Masyarakat
Get PDFDevelopment of MOCAF flour up to now has been quite fast, but the level of public acceptance of MOCAF flour as a substitute for using wheat flour and tapioca is not high. Based on this, the comparative analysis of the physical characteristics of wheat flour, tapioca flour and MOCAF Nuflour flour is very important to carry out, with the aim of the physical characteristics of wheat flour and tapioca flour can be used as a reference in making MOCAF flour to match the flour to be substituted in the food processing process. The analytical method used was density testing and elastic modulus measurement for each type of flour. Based on the results of the research, it was found that the density of flour from the highest was wheat flour (0.525 g/m3), tapioca flour (0.506 g/m3) and mocaf flour (NuFlour) (0.345 g/m3). Whereas for solid density, the highest yields were obtained, namely wheat flour (0.875 g/m3), tapioca flour (0.714 g/m3), and finally mocaf flour (NuFlour) (0.525 g/m3)
