Ecotourism Recommendations based on Sentiments Using Skyline Query and Apache-Spark

    Get PDF
The selection of an ecotourism destination is a challenging service in an online transaction. The process must consider personal considerations, such as costs or distance and interesting eco-points like specific sceneries or the rare and unique picturesque landscapes. Only a few tourists have such required information for any particular local resources. A proposed recommender system is a solution for tourists to get advice on appropriate ecotourism destinations based on sentiments according to their preferences. This work proposed the skyline query method based on the Skyline Sort Filter algorithm in the Apache Spark cluster computing framework to build recommendations. The sentiment analysis process using the SentiStrength algorithm obtain an accuracy of 78.3% and F-arithmetic of 84.5%. These results indicate the proposed recommender system can detect positive responses from visitors to ensure best ecotourism recommendations with positive sentiments for tourist. Apache Spark with three computer nodes has 213.7 times faster execution time on correlated data, 240 times faster on independent data, and 288.1 times faster on anti-correlated data than a single computing method

    Get PDF
Vietnam is a country with a lot of potential and strengths in agriculture, but in the current period, along with the narrowing of arable land, the quality of soil and the increasingly harsh climate have caused difficulties for activities. Along with the strong development of the industrial revolution 4.0, the application of Internet of Things (IoT) technology in agriculture is increasingly popular. However, for the application to be synchronized and to effectively exploit IoT technology resources in the agricultural sector, it is necessary to have a policy orientation on science and application from the government. This article will address the outstanding issues of IoT application in Vietnamese agriculture and point out some potential applications

Research entitled The Existence and Cultivation Strategy of Bengawan Rice for Ekoleta Farmers, Detusoko District, Ende Regency. Focuses on how the strategy of the Ekoleta rice farming community maintains the existence of Bengawan rice, using the theory of Community Empowerment according to Robert Chambers. This study aims to determine the strategy of Ekoleta rice farmers in maintaining the existence of Bengawan Ekoleta rice. In accelerating these goals, the researchers used descriptive qualitative research methods, and for data collection using interviews, observation, and documentation techniques. Researchers found several strategies of Ekoleta rice farmers in maintaining the existence of Bengawan Ekoleta rice, namely through the selection of seeds and nurseries, rice casings, and rice care. The findings above are very relevant when linked to the theoretical basis of community empowerment according to Robert Chambers, namely Ekoleta rice farmers empower themselves through Bengawan rice farming activities in new ways that keep them cultivating Bengawan Ekoleta rice. In the end, the researcher recommends a number of suggestions: for the Ekoleta rice farming community to continue to maintain the existence of bengawan rice so that this bengawan rice will continue to exist at any time

Planning Process for Kekasewa Village Development Kecmatan Ndona Ende Regency

    No full text
This study intends to describe the development planning process at the grassroots level where the selected location is Kekasewa Village, Ndona District, Ende Regency, East Nusa Tenggara. Specifically, this research is aimed at describing the development planning process at the research location and identifying and explaining the supporting and inhibiting factors. Through qualitative descriptive research, it is described more accurately from observations made in full about a symptom or social situation including through observation and interviews. Some of the selected informants are government officials, community organizations and community members. The analysis was carried out by examining the data obtained from various sources and informants. The results obtained from this study indicate that (1) the application of participatory principles in the process of planning development programs in the village of Kekasewa can be said to be running even though it does not fully follow the principles of, by and for the community, (2) the process of planning development programs in the village Kekasewa has carried out a participatory development program planning process, the steps of which include: reviewing the situation or reviewing the situation, identifying future needs, identifying available resources and agreeing on a plan. In addition, the results that can be recorded from the field show that of the four main factors that influence the participatory planning process at the research location, two of these factors (the existence of mutual trust and democratic agreement) are proven to be supporting factors in the planning process of development programs/activities. As for the other two factors (professionalism of human resources and understanding of development issues themselves) in general they have not shown their role in supporting the "smooth" process of development program planning and have instead become obstacles to the planning process. Regarding the results of the research above, several important things that are recommended in this study are (1) maintaining the existing planning process because it essentially fulfills the principles of the community by the community and for the community. Even if there must be corrective steps, it is recommended to sharpen and reinforce the function and role of the Musbangdus and Musbangdes forums as a vehicle for screening/selection by applying a priority scale, (2) considering the function of the Musbangdus and Musbangdes as a means or medium of dissemination for existing proposed plans, whether those proposed by residents or sectoral plan proposals, (3) utilizing customary institutions through a joint agreement with the village government to instill relevant values ??to all members of the community to pay more attention to time issues, for example through "wora nau" (meaningful messages) conveyed by the mosalaki the day before the meeting, and (4) raising awareness through training regarding self-help surveys to identify potential or other forms of participatory rural appraisal (PRA)

Analysis of Quality of Service (QOS) on Whole Home Mesh Network with Wifi Connection

    No full text
Advances in network technology are increasingly developing. Due to the human need for fast, easy and comfortable access to technology. So there is competition between network device manufacturers to innovate in creating new, compact technology, especially after the emergence of AI technology which has been trying to be embedded in various devices recently. Mash technology is nothing new in the networking world. However, problems that often occur with Mesh devices include compli-cated installation and requiring different types of devices and some-times with different brands there is quite noticeable latency. Whole Home Mash (WHM) is a technology made by TP-LINK which is embed-ded in DECO series devices which have various contemporary features such as WiFi 6, OFDMA and MU-MIMO which can facilitate device connections in accessing the internet. What is focused on in this re-search is the WiFi or wireless-based Mesh feature which makes this device very easy to install and the settings are supported by an App that can be accessed from the user's cellphone. Based on the Quality of Service (QoS) assessment criteria which consist of: Throughput, Delay, Jitter and Packet Loss, each of which gets a score of 4 in the index which means it is in the very good category. The results show that in 4 times with different conditions and distances it met criteria 4 (very good) in Throughput, Delay, Jitter but experienced a decrease in Pack-et Loss with the "moderate" criteria for data sizes above 400 MB. In short, this device meets index 4 of the four criteria above and can be a reference in modeling a WiFi-based network in the future
