The Effectiveness of Skimming and Scanning Techniques in Improving Student’s Reading Comprehension of Grade Eleven Students of SMA Negeri 1 Tana Toraja
This research aims at proving that the use of using Skimming and Scanning techniques are effective in improving reading comprehension of grade-eleven students of SMA Negeri 1 Tana Toraja. The method used in this research was true-experimental design random assignment pretest-posttest control group. The samples of this research were selected from the population of grade-eleven students of SMA Negeri 1 Tana Toraja by using random sampling technique. The instruments of data collection were observation checklist, questionnaire items and tests. The data were analyzed by using t-test statistical and descriptive methods. Based on the analysis, the result score of experimental class is 80.27 and control class is 67.02. By applying level of significance 0.05 and degree of freedom (df) 48, the t-counted value (4.3) is greater than t-table value (2013). Furthermore, based on the result of effectiveness indicators showed the score is 83% it means that the techniques are effective. In other words, applying skimming and scanning techniques are effective in improving students reading comprehension of the grade eleven students of SMA Negeri 1 Tana Toraja.

Analysis of Financial Performance In Company PT. Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk. Based On Ratio Analysis Liquidity and Profitability Period 2015-2019.
The industry is one sector that has an important role in the development of a country. One of them is an industry in Indonesia, and its products that are in great demand are consumer goods with specifications of food products and household goods. An assessment of a company's financial level can be done by analyzing the company's financial statements. The financial statements used are the balance sheet and income statement from 2015 to 2019. To find out whether the company's financial condition is in good condition, various analyzes can be performed. One analysis that can be used to determine the company's financial situation is financial ratio analysis. The purpose of this study is to assess the company's performance by using the financial ratio analysis of PT Indofood Sukses Makmur, Tbk on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. This research was conducted by conducting documentation techniques with data obtained from the financial statements of PT Indofood Sukses Makmur. Then analyzed using financial statement analysis consisting of liquidity ratios and profitability ratios. The analytical method used is a descriptive analysis using the measurement of liquidity ratios and profitability. Based on the calculation of ratio analysis from PT Indofood Sukses Makmur, the liquidity ratio has increased every year so that the company's condition can be categorized quite well. Whereas, based on profitability ratios, it shows an increasing number from year to year so that it can be said the state of the company is in a good position
The Implementation of Zakat Profession By Employees Income in Public Health Center (PHC) Sitopeng Cirebon City
ZAKAT is an obligation of Muslims as a form of concern fellow a man in establishing the relationship between man and Allah and man's relationship with other humans. With the obligations of zakat, in addition to fostering the relationship with Allah SWT also can tighten the rope the relationship between human beings. The aim of the research is that to identify understanding and application of zakat profession on employee income at Public Health Center Sitopeng Cirebon City. Method used in this research is qualitative method with data collection techniques are observation and interview. Based on the research results obtained it can be concluded that 1. Implementation of professional alms employees on Public Health Center Sitopeng has not been maximized because of the lack of employee understanding of the provisions on professional zakat regarding the law, calculation and distribution of professional zakat. Besides that, there is still a lack of socialization on professional zakat from the government or the nearest Zakat Institution. 2. Employee income at Public Health Center Sitopeng has indeed reached the Regional Minimum Wage (UMR) standard for Cirebon City but for the obligation to fulfill the professional zakat it still does not meet the nishob requirements set by the Islamic Sharia, but employees The Sitopeng Health Center can give a portion of its assets through Shodaqoh or infaq
The Influence of Corporate Governance on Potential Financial Distress on Transportation Companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2013-2017
This study aims to empirically examine the effect of characteristics corporate governance (managerial ownership, institutional ownership, board of commissioners, independent commissioners, board of commissioners, audit committee) on financial distress. This study uses data collection methods using the method of library research. In this study the type of secondary data used is in the form of financial statements from transportation companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the period 2013-2017. Research data is data that is presented in time series. Data analysis was performed through descriptive statistical tests, followed by testing the feasibility of the regression model, testing the overall Fit Test model, the coefficient of determination test, and the classification matrix. Logistic regression analysis is used because the dependent variable used in this study is a dummy variable, which is a company with the possibility of financial distress. The results of this study indicate that: Managerial ownership has a significant effect on financial distress, Institutional ownership is proven to have a significant influence on financial distress, the Board of Commissioners is proven to have a significant influence on financial distress, independent commissioners is proven to have a significant influence on financial distress, The board of directors is proven to have a significant influence on financial distress and the Audit Committee is proven to have a significant effect on financial distres
Analysis of Financial Stability Determinants in Indonesia
Financial Stress Index (FSI) is one of the indices to measure financial stress which can lead to a financial crisis. Quantitative analysis was conducted to some banking sector performance indicator which impacts financial stability with FSI as a proxy. Data population was taken from banking company listed in Indonesian Stock Exchange, sampling using purposive sampling of 38 banks. Using pooled data regression analysis was founded that NPL, CAR, and ROA positively significant to financial stability, while NIM negative but not significant to financial stability. The research found that NPL and NIM are not in line with the hypothesis. NPL is an indicator for bad debt, which means that increase in NPL will make financial stability vulnerable, but the research shows that an increase in NPL causes financial stability incline to increased, this could have happened if any other factors maintain financial stability tend to increase. On the other hand, NIM is decreasing which means the productivity of banks decreased but financial stability tends to increase because other factors that maintain financial stability tend to increase
The Building of Character Nation Based on Islamic Religion Education in School
The character of a nation is a benchmark of the success of education in a nation and state. Because in essence the main purpose of education is to make humans mature. Meanwhile, Islam is a religion that emphasizes the importance of the formation of the character, because the Prophet Muhammad actually said I was sent to perfect morals. The Effect Green Marketing Mix on Corporate Image as Well as Implication for Purchase Intention of Food and Beverages Companies In Indonesia
This study aims to analyze and prove effect of the green marketing-based marketing mix consisting of (green product, green price, green distribution, green promotion) on corporate image and its implications for the purchase intention of food and beverage companies in Indonesia, partially or jointly and the effect of the green marketing-minded marketing mix consisting of (green product, green price, green distribution, green promotion) and corporate image on the purchase intention of food and beverage companies in Indonesia, both partially or collectively. The research method used in this research is descriptive and verification methods with a sample of 205 respondents, and the data analysis method used is SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) using the Lisrel Program. Based on the research results, the following findings were found as green product, green price, green distribution and green promotion both partially and collectively have a positive and significant effect on corporate image with a coefficient of determination (R2) of 88%. Likewise, green product, green price, green distribution, green promotion and corporate image either partially or collectively have a positive and significant effect on purchase intention with a coefficient of determination (R2) of 98%. This research finds and proves that to increase purchase intention it is necessary to increase the marketing mix with a marketing perspective (green product, green price, green distribution and green promotion) and corporate image in the non-physical identity dimensions needs to be improved
Affirmation of School Management and Success of Islamic Religious Education Learning
School management is an activity that is carried out effectively and efficiently to improve school performance, including learning Islamic religious education. Therefore it is necessary to affirm that school management will be more organized and focused on goals. Schools that run a good managerial system will certainly pay attention to the quality of education in them so that learning in these schools will run optimally. The object of this research is Islamic education learning in schools with good school management. The research methodology used is qualitative research methods with descriptive methods. The findings in this study show that schools that carry out affirmation of school management will be able to encourage the success of Islamic Education learning in these schools
Population Migration and The Challenges of Economic Growth in North Sumatera in Year (1988-2020)
Population increase has the impact on demographic transition (changes in population structure). Indonesia is entering the demographic bonus period, there is the increase in the percentage of the working age population. According to theory, population can affect economic growth (in this study the effect on gross domestic product or GDP). One of the demographic components that affect population composition is population mobility or migration. This study used migration, risk migration and dependency ratios to show the latest patterns / trends of population mobility (last 20 years). The results showed that the variables in this study had a positive and negative effect on GDP growth. Of the three variables, the greatest influence is given by percentage of dependency ratio variable. The results of this study showed that migration and risk migration had negative impact on economic growth while the dependency ratio had a positive impact on economic growth. North Sumatra must be optimistic to increase economic growth by utilizing components that can boost the economy and one of them is the dependency ratio
