    The Role of Education Management in Improving the Quality of Excellent School Education

    One of the main themes in discussing excellent schools is regarding "the process of making the students to excellent" and quality assurance managemnet of excellent schools. This paper examines the nature of superior schools and quality assurance management of superior schools, which consists of: (1) a harmonious school atmospehre, (2) management based on supervision (control management), (3) determination to improvesustainable quality, (4) the school work reference is productivity (efficient and effective), and (5) tough leadership. Excellent schools are another version of excellent students. In this point, the "student enhancement process" becomes the main goal in achieving quality output. This follows a "System Theory" in Excellent Schools expressed by J. Alan Thomas that negative / bad input, if the enhancement process + (positive), it will result in almost + (excellent) output. The process of enhancement input in superior schools is: (1) the ability of professional teachers consisting of professional competence, competence in learning, mentoring, communication with students and in evaluating, (2) the curriculum uses a differentiation curriculum and links subject matter with modern inventions in accordance with current technological developments, (3) extracurricular programs and (4) collaborative networks with educational institutions.   Salah satu tema utama dalam pembahasan tentang sekolah unggulan adalah mengenai “proses pengunggulan siswa” dan manajemen penjaminan mutu sekolah unggulan. Makalah ini mengkaji tentang hakikat sekolah unggulan dan manajemen penjaminan mutu sekolah unggulan yang terdiri dari: (1) iklim sekolah yang harmonis, (2) manajemen yang berbasis pengawasan (control management), (3) tekad untuk meningkatkan mutu secara terus menerus (sustainability), (4) acuan kerja sekolah adalah produktivitas (efficient dan effektive), dan (5) kepemimpinan yang kuat (leadership). Sekolah unggulan merupakan versi lain dari pengunggulan siswa. Disini, “proses pengunggulan siswa” itu yang menjadi sasaran utama dalam mencapai output yang berkualitas. Hal ini mengikuti sebuah “Teori Sistem” dalam Sekolah Unggulan yang diungkapkan oleh J. Alan Thomas bahwa input yang negatif/ buruk, apabila Proses pengunggulannya + (positif) maka akan menghasilkan output yang cencerung + (Unggul). Adapun proses pengunggulan input dalam sekolah unggulan adalah: (1) kemampuan guru yang profesional yang terdiri dari kompetensi profesional, kompetensi dalam pembelajaran, pembimbingan, komunikasi dengan peserta didik dan dalam mengevaluasi, (2) kurikulum menggunakan kurikulum diferensiasi dan mengkaitkan materi-materi pelajaran dengan penemuan modern sesuai dengan perkembangan teknologi saat ini, (3) program ekstrakurikuler dan (4) jaringan kerjasama dengan pihak lembaga pendidikan

    The Inculcation of the Students’s Spiritual Values to Shape Students’ Character in SMP Negeri 1 Bantul Yogyakarta

    Inculcating the  spiritual values ​​is fundamental in shaping human personality so that they are able to behave based on Islamic principles. Thus, this study aims to describe the inculcation of values ​​to students in SMP Negeri 1 Bantul Yogyakarta. This research is a qualitative research, with a descriptive type of field research, which intends to describe how to instill spiritual values ​​in students. The research subjects were teachers at SMP Negeri 1 Bantul Yogyakarta. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation, while the data analysis used is the Miles and Huberman model analysis; data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The results showed that the spiritual values ​​instilled in students were very diverse, ranging from religious values, aesthetic values, moral values, and truth values. The cultivation of these spiritual values ​​is given through the learning process or through various activities and programs at SMP Negeri 1 Bantul Yogyakarta, such as the tahfidz al-Qur'an program, halaqah tarbawiyah, dhuha prayer in congregation, dzuhur prayer in congregation , and Friday prayers in congregation.   Abstrak: Penanaman nilai spiritual adalah hal mendasar dalam membentuk kepribadian manusia agar mampu berprilaku Islami. Sehingga, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguraikan penanaman nilai terhadap perserta didik di SMP Negeri 1 Bantul Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif, dengan jenis penelitian lapangan yang bersifat deskriptif yaitu penelitian yang bermaksud menggambarkan bagaimana penanaman nilai-nilai spiritual terhadap peserta didik. Subjek penelitiannya adalah guru di SMP Negeri 1 Bantul Yogyakarta Teknik pengumpulan data dengan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, sedangkan analisis datanya menggunakan analisis model Miles dan Huberman yaitu: reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai-nilai spiritual yang ditanamkan kepada peserta didik sangatlah beragam mulai dari nilai religius, nilai estetika, nilai moral, dan nilai kebenaran. Penanaman nilai-nilai spiritual tersebut diberikan melalui proses pembelajaran ataupun  melalui berbagai macam kegiatan dan program yang ada di SMP Negeri 1 Bantul Yogyakarta, misalnya seperti program tahfidz al-Qur’an, halaqah tarbawiyah, shalat dhuha berjama’ah, shalat dzuhur berjama’ah, dan shalat jum’at berjama’ah

    The Analysis of Islamic Law Maqosid on the Role of Women in Improving Family Welfare

    Abstract: The participation of women at work domain, does not only contributes in changing the mindset and economic structure of a region, but also has contributed greatly to family welfare. This research uses descriptive analysis method to analyze and describe the role of women in improving the economic welfare of the family in the perspective of maqashid syariah. Based on the results of the research, it is found that the implication is that the role of women is very positive in improving family welfare and in accordance with the objectives of Islam,; falah (prosperous in the world and the hereafter), and in accordance with the five main elements that must be maintained in Islam, namely hifz ad-din, hifz an. -nafs, hifz al-aql, hifz an-nasl, and hifz al-mall. Keywords: Islamic law, the role of women, family welfare.   Abstrak: Partisipasi peran perempuan dalam dalam dunia kerja tidak hanya berkontribusi terhadap berubahnya pola fikir dan tatanan perekonomian suatu daerah, akan tetapi juga telah memberikan kontribusi yang besar terhadap kesejahteraan keluarga. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif untuk menganalisis dan mendiskripsikan peran perempuan dalam peningkatan kesejahteraan ekonomi keluarga perspektif maqashid syariah. Berdasarkan dari hasil penelitian, ditemukan implikasi bahwa peran perempuan sangat positif dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan keluarga dan  sesuai dengan tujuan Islam yaitu falah (sejahtera dunia dan akhirat), serta sesuai dengan lima unsur pokok yang harus dijaga dalam islam, yakni hifz ad-din, hifz an-nafs, hifz al-aql, hifz an-nasl, dan hifz al-mall.     The South Kalimantan Ulama’s Leadership in Covid-19 Pandemic Era

    Abstract: Ulama are community leaders who have the highest religious competence in society and deliver scholars to become religious leaders. Apart from religious leadership, ulama also have social leadership that is able to control many individuals or groups. This study aims to reveal the form of ulama leadership in South Kalimantan during the Covid-19 conditions. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis. The data is taken from some information posted on trusted websites. The results showed that ulama in South Kalimantan practiced transformational religious leadership in society. Ulama in the context of this research are ulama in South Kalimantan who often get the spotlight from the public. With the interaction of scholars on leadership, the leadership is modeled on religious leadership. Religious leadership offers religious, theological, moral, ethical, and spiritual guidance on most aspects of the daily life of Muslims. Keywords: leadership, ulama, the covid-19 pandemic.     Abstrak: Ulama merupakan tokoh masyarakat yang memiliki kompetensi beragama tertinggi di dalam masyarakat dan menghantarkan ulama menjadi pemimpin agama. Selain kepemimpinan beragama, ulama juga memiliki kepemimpinan sosial yang mampu mengendalikan banyak individu atau kelompok. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap bentuk kepemimpinan ulama di Kalimantan Selatan selama kondisi covid-19. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan analisis deskriptif. Data penelitian diambil dari beberapa informasi yang dimuat di situs web terpercaya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ulama di Kalimantan Selatan mempraktikkan kepemimpinan transformational beragama dalam masyarakat. Ulama dalam konteks penelitian ini adalah ulama di Kalimantan Selatan yang sering mendapat sorotan dari public. Dengan adanya keterlibatan ulama pada kepemimpinan, maka kepemimpinannya bermodel kepemimpinan religius. Kepemimpinan religius menawarkan bimbingan religius, teologis, moral, etis, dan spiritual pada sebagian besar aspek kehidupan sehari-hari umat Islam.     The Impact of Online Learning Policy during the Covid-19 Pandemic: An Analysis of Islamic Education

    Abstract: This article aims to analyze how the online learning policy launched by the government during the Covid-19 pandemic impact on Islamic religious education. The analysis approach used is a library research and research results related to online learning policies during the Covid 19 period. This research findings show that the implementation of online learning is still far from what is expected, despite all its advantages and disadvantages. The dynamics experienced either by educators, students or parents is a challenge for the government. The collaboration of educational institutions, students and parents is essential for the success of this program. The impact of online learning in the context of Islamic education is very influential in the process of ordering character and inculcating Islamic values. The stakeholders and all policy makers must encourage this policy so that the learning transformation process can be carried out properly, by utilizing and maximizing the presence of information and communication technology availability. Abstrak: Artikel ini bertujuan menganalisis bagaimana dampak kebijakan pembelajaran jarak jauh yang dicanangkan pemerintah di masa pandemi covid-19 pada pendidikan agama Islam. Analisis dengan menggunakan kajian literatur-literatur kepustakaan dan hasil penelitian  yang terkait dengan kebijakan pembelajaran jarak jauh jauh di masa Covid 19. Hasil analisis, bahwa implementasi kebijakan pembelajaran jarak jauh dirasakan masih belum sesuai dengan harapan, terlepas dengan segala kelebihan dan kekuranganya. Dinamika yang dihadapi di masa Covid 19 ini oleh pendidik maupun peserta didik serta orang tua menjadi tantangan tersendiri bagi pemerintah. Kolaborasi antara institusi pendidikan, peserta didik dan orang tua sangat diperlukan demi suksesnya program ini. Imbas pembelajaran jarak jauh pada konteks pendidikan Islam sangat berpengaruh dalam proses  pembentukan karakter dan penanaman nilai-nilai ke-Islaman. Stake holder dan semua pemangku kebijakan mesti mendorong kebijakan ini agar proses transformasi pembelajaran dapat berjalan baik,  dengan memanfaatkan dan memaksimalkan hadirnya teknologi informasi dan komunikasi yang tersedia.     Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat penggunaan media papan flanel dalam mengembangkan kemampuan berhitung anak di Taman Kanak-kanak Mutiara Al-Madani Kota Sungai Penuh. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian tindakan kelas model rancangan Kemmis dan Taggart dengan menggunakan 3 siklus dan masing-masing siklus menggunakan empat langkah yaitu: perencanaan, tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif serta untuk mendapatkan persentase menggunakan skala likert. Hasil penelitian penggunaan media papan flanel dalam mengembangkan kemampuan berhitung anak semakin meningkat.Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media papan flanel dapat mengembangkan kemampuan berhitung anak

    Berasuransi Syariah di Kalangan Masyarakat Kelurahan Pasir Putih Jambi

    This research is motivated by the growth of sharia insurance in the province of Jambi, however quantitatively the people who have sharia insurance, especially those in the Pasir Putih sub-district, are still low, this is due to the lack of public knowledge regarding Islamic insurance. This question aims to determine the effect of knowledge on people's interest in sharia insurance and to see changes in knowledge that affect public interest in insuring field research research with a quantitative-descriptive approach with a sample of 100 people. Based on statistical tests partially it is known that knowledge that affects interest is evidenced from tcount 4,937> ttable 1,661 these results also support the theory that one of the factors that influence is knowledge. Based on the Model Summary, it can be ignored that the knowledge variable has an effect of 0.199 or 19.9% ​​on interest, while 80.1% is from other factors that are not studied. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pertumbuhan asuransi syariah di provinsi jambi, akan tetapi secara kuantitatif masyarakat yang berasuransi syariah khususnya di kelurahan Pasir Putih masih terbilang rendah hal tersebut dikarenakan masih rendahnya pengetahuan masyarakat terkait asuransi syariah. Sehingga penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pengetahuan terhadap minat masyarakat untuk berasuransi syariah serta untuk mengetahui variasi perubahan pengetahuan yang mempengaruhi minat masyarakat untuk berasuransi syariah penelitian ini merupakan penelitian lapangan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif-deskriptif dengan sampel berjumlah 100 orang. Berdasarkan uji statistik secara persial diketahui bahwa pengetahuan berpengaruh terhadap minat dibuktikan dari thitung 4,937> ttabel 1,661 hasil tersebut juga mendukung teori yang mengatakan faktor yang mempengaruhi minat salah satunya adalah pengetahuan. Berdasarkan Model Summary dapat disimpulkan bahwa variabel pengetahuan berpengaruh sebesar 0,199 atau 19,9% terhadap minat, sedangkan 80,1% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak diteliti

Related to this, Salafiah Islamic Boarding School which is identical with its old, old education system is considered to be no longer relevant to the development of the times demanded to be able to maintain its existence with renewal efforts which certainly does not leave its characteristics as Salafiah Islamic Boarding School. This research took place in the Salafiah Sa'a Islamic Boarding School, Seberang, Jambi City. This study aims to determine the existence of the Salafiah Islamic Boarding School in the modernization era of education, what constraints faced by the Salafiah Islamic Boarding School in the modernization era of education, and what efforts have been made by the Islamic Boarding School in the era of education. education. The method used in this research is qualitative. The types of data used are primary and secondary. The data source is the informant associated with the existence of the Salafiah Sa' adatuddaren Islamic Boarding School in the era of education modernization, which was collected through observation, interviews and documentation. The findings of this study indicate that in the current era of education modernization, the Salafiah Islamic Boarding School 'adatuddaren still exists even though the number has indeed decreased but not too significantly. The efforts made by the Salafiah Sa'a adatuddaren Islamic Boarding School to maintain its existence in the era of education modernization are good enough, only it needs to be continuously evaluated by looking at existing obstacles, and the demands and demands of the times both in the world of education and employment

    Analisa Kebutuhan Pembelajaran Mata Kuliah Bahasa Inggris untuk Mahasiswa Non-Jurusan Bahasa Inggris di Universitas Islam

    The purpose of this study is to analyze the needs of students towards English courses for non-English Department students. This research is focused on analyzing the need for teaching materials, desired teaching methods and student language learning strategies. This research is a case study involving 136 Islamic Religious Education (PAI) and Islamic Religion Teacher Education (PGMI) students. The data was collected from respondents by conducting surveys and interviews. Survey data were analyzed using SPSS and Thematic analysis was used to analyze data from interviews. The results of this study indicateed that speaking skill is the skill that is mainly needed by students. Furthermor the development of vocabulary is also the main focus of the students. The results of this study with regard to learning methods show that students like mixed methods.  In reference to the learning strategy, the students used variety and wide range of learning strategies. This research is very useful for English language teachers especially for the preparation of the lesson plan for non-English major students
