The impact of online loans on the community in Sipirok Sub-district
Full text linkThe discussion in this study is related to the impact of online lending. This research is a field research (direct research in the field) with a qualitative approach. The data sources used are primary data and secondary data, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the factors that cause people in Sipirok District to make online-based loans, namely the procedure for borrowing money in online-based applications are easier to process and faster disbursement of money. The positive of online-based loans for people in Sipirok District is that the procedure for borrowing money in online-based applications is easier to process and quickly disburse money, and their needs or emergency fund needs can be met quickly. While the negative impact is a deduction of administrative money that reaches 30% of the principal money, and an inhumane way of debt collection to consumers who are in arrears of loan installment payment

Fenomena kebobrokan moral di penghujung abad modern ini telah terjangkit dan meluas di kalangan masyarakat, termasuk melanda dunia Barat bahkan dunia Timur yang notabene diidentikkan dengan Islam, ikut-ikutan berperan serta. Muhammad al-Ghazâli (Pemikir Muslim Kontemporer berasal dari Mesir) melihat, umat Islam di segenap penjuru telah menjadikan sesuatu yang sulit sebagai sesuatu yang sangat sulit diraih, lalu membuka kanal-kanal penghubung menuju hal-hal yang memperdaya, agar orang yang tenang menjadi bergejolak. Pendidikan Moral menjadi Issue penting bagi tokoh di bidang Pendidikan Generasi Sekarang. Para pemikir Muslim dan Barat secara serius meletakkan pondasi dan kajian berkaitan dengan pendidikan moral. Metode yang digunakan dalam mencari data adalah studi riset kepustakaan (library research), yaitu peneliti mengumpulkan buku-buku yang berkaitan dengan sejarah dan pemikiran tokoh yang diteliti. Full text linkThis research is a Library Research study, which examines "Analytical Studies of Qital Verses from the Perspective of Contemporary interpretation". Qital is often misunderstood by some parties, it may be influenced by a wrong reading of religious texts or a wrong perception of the history of the practice of itself. The dynamics of the practice of qital can also be influenced by socio-political factors faced by every Muslim in every situation and condition. Soin what context is qital carried out. The purpose of this study is to find out explicitly the meaning ofqital in the perspective of contemporary interpretation. This study is very necessary in order to reduce radical ideas in society.
The sources of this research include primary and secondary sources, namely by referring directly to the Qur'an and books of contemporary interpretation, including: Tafsīr Al-Tahrīr wa Al-Tanwīrby Ibn 'Asyur, Tafsir Al-Wasīt by Sayyid Thanthawi, Tafsir Rawaiu' Al-Bayan and Shafwat Al-Tafasirby Sheikh Ali AshShabuni, Tafsīr Al-Munīrand Al Wasithby Wahbah Az-Zuhaili, and Tafsir AlQur'an Al-Karim by Abdullah Syahatah. This study uses a historical approach with text and context analysis through contemporary commentary books. Based on the results of the analysis of contemporary commentary books, it can be concluded; first, that QS. Al-Hajj verse 39 and QS. Al-Baqarah verse 190-193 as the first verse that was revealed in order to give permission for the Muslims to fight against the polytheists of Mecca. Therefore, war in Islam is defensive (difa'i), also based on the QS. Al-Baqarah verse 193 and several other verses that call for peace. Second, war is only one of many instruments to achieve justice and suppress oppression. War can be carried out at this time, if the conditions and circumstances are exactly as when the qital verses were revealed

Investigating the roles of philosophy, culture, language and Islam in Angkola’s local wisdom of ‘Dalihan Na Tolu’
Full text linkThis article aims at exploring the existing ideas of Angkola’s local wisdom with relevance to the roles of philosophy, culture, language, and Islam. This research employed the ethnographic method which utilised the data from figurative peoples in Angkola culture, Angkola’s cultural ceremonies, documents, and related media. The collected data were then reduced and analysed from philosophical, cultural, linguistic, and religious point of views to find the relevance. This research found that Dalihan Na Tolu covers triangle family members for Mora, Kahanggi, and Anak Boru. Dalihan Na Tolu consistently enhances humanity in harmony and it keeps warm in touch with the social profile. Angkola language has unique variations in the structure, coda sound, accent, and intonation to avoid saying subject as respect and the symbol of politeness. Dalihan Na Tolu creates and maintains norms in brotherhood and togetherness as an ingrained belief. The devotion poured in a sense of justice for triangle family members. The taste of brotherhood and togetherness is a fact that only humans have to think about expressing responsibility to unite humanity. The manifestation of Dalihan Na Tolu as a local, national, and perhaps international wisdom has faith, charity, and responsibility as the main point of view for humanity in harmony. The human faith in God has to be perfect with relevance for love, humanity and harmony. Charity humanises people. The responsibility unites humanity. Dalihan Na Tolu reflects many important values to learn from living in the society with particular philosophy, culture, langauge, and religion
Factors influencing non-performing financing (NPF) in sharia banking
Full text linkThe risk of financing is caused by the customer's failure to fulfill their obligations. Non-performing financing (NPF) is a representation of financing risk that is channeled and has a direct impact on bank profitability. The value of NPF tends to increase annually with a value that is already close to the maximum limit set by Bank Indonesia of 5 percent. This condition can lead to the inefficiency of the banking system and, in the long run, will impact the Bank's sustainability. Therefore, the analysis of NPF factors should be conducted as a preventive measure and a risk controller of business activities. This research analyzes the factors influencing NPF at sharia banking (BUS) using quarterly data from the first quarter of 2012 until the third quarter of 2016. The method used in this research is panel data analysis. The result of the investigation shows that the factors influencing NPF negatively and significantly are a ratio of revenue sharing financing (RR), Return on assets (ROA), inflation, Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), and Bank size. The impact of infaq and shadaqah (ZIS) zakat funds distribution and utilization on mustahic consumption behavior with transparency as intervening variables: case study of Darul Mursyid Islamic Boarding School Bazis
Full text linkThe poor utilization of zakat funds given to mustahik is the driving force behind this study. According to several observations made by researchers, some mustahik do not utilization the ZIS funds in accordance with their designation, either in operating or growing their business. In some cases, there are also some Mustahik who used the ZIS funds for personal needs without disclosing how they were used. The goal of this study was to determine the impact of transparency as an intervening variable on the distribution and utilization of zakat infaq and shadaqah (ZIS) money on mustahik consumption behavior. This study is quantitative in nature. 62 samples make up the research's sample. A closed questionnaire on mustahik BAZIS Darul Mursyid Islamic Boarding School is used as the data gathering tool. The inner model, outer model, and testing of the intermediary hypothesis are all used in data analysis. Based on the research findings, it is known that the study's variables can explain 88.8% of the variance, while the consuming behavior variable's R2 value is 0.836, or 83.6 percent, and 16.7% of the variance can be accounted for by other study factors. The study's findings show that there is no relationship between distribution and transparency, but there is a relationship between utilization and transparency, and there is a relationship between distribution and consumption behavior. However, there is no relationship between transparency and consumption behavior, and there is no relationship between distribution and utilization
