Internalisation of Anti-Corruption Education Values in Public Elementary Schools in Mataram City, Indonesia
Anti-corruption education is a strategic effort to build a generation with integrity. This study aims to analyze internalising anti-corruption education values in Public Elementary Schools (Sekolah Dasar Negeri, SDN) in Mataram City from the perspective of social science education. A qualitative approach was used with a case study method involving teachers, students, and principals as informants. The study results indicate that anti-corruption values, such as honesty, responsibility, discipline, and justice, are integrated into the curriculum, teaching methods, and school culture. This internalisation process is strengthened through collaboration between schools, parents, and the community. The main obstacles faced are teachers' limited understanding of anti-corruption education and the lack of support for learning facilities. This study recommends teacher training and strengthening anti-corruption education policies to create an ecosystem supporting anti-corruption character formation
Development of HOTS-Based Assessment Instruments for Evaluating Rhythmic Movement in Elementary Schools
This research is motivated by the importance of The importance of HOTS is one of the essential competencies that students must master in facing the challenges of 21st century education, so it is necessary for teachers to develop HOTS-based assessment instruments. The purpose of this study is (1) Describe validity HOTS-based assessment instruments as evaluating rhythmic movement in elementary schools; (2) Describes practicality and (3) Testing the effectiveness. The research used is 4-D model development research. The instruments used were questionnaires and tests. Based on the results of the research conducted, it was found that HOTS-based assessment instruments for evaluating rhythmic movement in elementary schools. The validity of the instrument is supported by expert assessment which shows that the instrument is in accordance with the objectives of the HOTS assessment. In addition, this instrument has been proven effective in improving students' understanding in significantly improving students' cognitive and psychomotor abilities
Multiculturalism and Gender Equality in Vocational High Schools in Yogyakarta: A Phenomenological Study
Multiculturalism is the most appropriate term to describe diversity in schools. Ethnic, religious, racial and gender diversity are recognized in educational practices involving teachers and students. This article aims to analyze the practice of multiculturalism in schools, exploring the various driving factors and barriers faced by teachers and students. This descriptive research used a phenomenological approach, data was obtained from 35 students and teachers using interviews and Google Forms. Data were analyzed by reduction, description, and conclusion based on the identification of significant themes. The main areas of multicultural categorization in vocational high schools: gender equality in educational practices, differences between rural and urban geographical backgrounds, socio-economic disparities, and educational content provided by educators. Muhammadiyah schools in Yogyakarta do not seem to have optimally implemented gender-equity-based multiculturalism. This study highlights the gender injustice to societal constructs, economic disparities that affect educational experiences, and geographical background of students
SIPAKATAU and Inclusive Education: Fostering Social Harmony for Sustainable City Development
This article examines the intersection of SIPAKATAU a Bugis-Makassar cultural philosophy that emphasizes mutual respect, dignity, and social harmony with inclusive education as a strategy for fostering sustainable urban development in Makassar. The objective of this study is to investigate how local wisdom can be integrated into educational frameworks to promote social cohesion in increasingly diverse urban environments. Employing a qualitative methodology, including document analysis and literature review, this research identifies key SIPAKATAU principles that align with inclusive education values, such as justice, empathy, and collaboration. The findings reveal that incorporating these cultural elements into school curricula and policies strengthens community participation, enhances conflict resolution, and supports marginalized groups. These outcomes contribute significantly to building socially resilient and sustainable cities. The study proposes a theoretical framework for policy adaptation that incorporates local cultural values into inclusive education practices, demonstrating that traditional wisdom can play a vital role in addressing contemporary challenges of urban sustainability
Online Assessment of English Competence and Its Washback: Teachers’ and Students’ Voices
Online assessments present several challenges for teachers, particularly in EFL (English as a Foreign Language) contexts. These difficulties fall into four categories: contextual, psychological, pedagogical, and technical. This study aims to explain teachers’ and students’ voices on implementing online assessment of English competence and its washback. It employed a qualitative method and a narrative inquiry research design. Data collection techniques used semi-structured interviews and open-ended questions. Thematic analysis was used as a data analysis technique. The participants were two English teachers and five students of an Islamic secondary school in Semarang city. The results show that the biggest challenge when conducting online English assessment reflects a range of technological, emotional, and instructional challenges, namely poor internet connection, device sharing or lack of equipment, speaking anxiety, unclear instructions, difficulty with listening tests, time pressure, lack of feedback, and technical platform confusion
Blended-Based Experiential Learning Model as A Strategy to Improve Entrepreneurship Skills of Social Science Education Students
Entrepreneurship represents one of the skills that universities must teach their students to prepare them for the workforce. The research objective is to investigate the effectiveness of blended-based experiential learning as a strategy for improving entrepreneurial skills. The pre-test and post-test control group design was the research model. The subject is students enrolled in entrepreneurship education courses at the Social Science Education Department Universitas Islam Negeri Malang, Indonesia. The experimental group used experiential learning, and the control group used traditional learning. Entrepreneurial skills instrument consists of 19 valid and reliable using likert scale statement items. The analysis of data using independent sample t-test. The findings revealed a significance value of 0.000<0.05, indicating that the model successfully enhances entrepreneurial skills. The implication is the model can be an effective reference in teaching entrepreneurship. Through hands-on experience, students can discover knowledge and improve entrepreneurial skills through online and offline learning (blended)
Entrepreneurship and Education Models of Millennial Muslim Youth in Pesantren: A Case Study on Al-Utsmani Santripreneur Indonesia
This research examines the education and entrepreneurship model at Santripreneur Al-Utsmani, focusing on its impact on developing entrepreneurial skills among millennial santri. Using a field research approach, this study employs descriptive and evaluative case study methods. Data collection was conducted through triangulation, including participant observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis, with data validity ensured through triangulation and member checks. The study highlights Al-Utsmani’s entrepreneurship programs tailored to its students’ unique abilities and interests. These programs foster creativity, competence, independence, and life and career skills while integrating religious and social values. Key initiatives include cooperatives, agricultural ventures, and educational businesses that are developed collaboratively and collaboratively. Findings show that these programs significantly enhance students’ entrepreneurial spirit and contribute to their mental and economic independence, preparing them to achieve academic and religious excellence
Transformation of Literacy-Based Islamic Education Learning Management Integration in Elementary Schools
This research integrates Islamic values with literacy skills so students understand religious knowledge and apply these values in everyday life. This research analyzes literacy-based learning management strategies in Islamic elementary education and identifies supporting and inhibiting factors. This research uses a literature study method to analyze literacy-based learning management in Islamic education at elementary schools. The research results show that literacy-based Islamic education learning management significantly increases students' interest in reading and writing. Islamic-based literacy hones reading and writing skills and helps students internalize Islamic texts' moral and spiritual values. These increased literacy skills strengthen students' abilities to analyze, organize ideas, and apply insights in everyday life. Apart from that, Islamic-based literacy contributes to developing student characteristics such as honesty, responsibility, and empathy
Physical Education Teachers’ Strategies and Challenges in Instructional Delivery in the Post Pandemic Era
The study explores the physical education teachers’ strategies and challenges in instructional delivery in the post-pandemic era. The study used qualitative research design using phenomenological approaches. Ten physical education teachers participated in the survey to share their experiences delivering instructions in the post-pandemic era. Codes and themes were transcribed in the study. Based on the study, the following themes have emerged: technology-based instructions, differentiated teaching strategies, socio-emotional preparedness, and engagement of students. Based on the findings, as part of the change, teachers are expected to develop their instructional practices further and keep up with the trend of delivering quality education services. As teachers improve and enhance their practices in providing instructions, they experience challenges that serve as an avenue of learning and upskilling their strategies as well as their mechanisms of teaching in the post-pandemic era. Thus, integrating technology and upskilling the knowledge and skills in instructional delivery must be prioritized in the ever-changing educational landscape
K-Nearest Neighbors (K-NN) Algorithm Model in Predicting the Graduation Rate of Teacher Professional Education Students in Indonesia
Predicting the graduation rate of the PPG program has an important significance in analyzing the factors that affect students' success in completing the PPG program. This study uses the K-Nearest Neighbor model in online learning to predict the pass rate of students in the Teacher Professional Education Program (PPG) at UIN Walisongo Semarang. The study analyzed data from 423 students, focusing on input quality variables, such as pedagogical competence and teaching innovation. Results showed the Wave 1 pass rate in 2023 was 86.7%, with 13.3% failure, a 1.7% decrease from Wave 3 in 2022. The confusion matrix showed significant improvement in True Positives (TP) and True Negatives (TN), with an accuracy of 0.916, precision of 0.3, and recall of 0.9725 students' academic achievement
