STUDENT RECITAL
Born in Indonesia, Megaria began her lifelong journey with the piano at a young age. Ms. Elly, 
Ms. Nini Irawati and Ms. Srilian Putti Leo were the first teachers who introduced and nurtured in 
her the love and wonderment for the world of music.
Megaria subsequently went to Singapore for her undergraduate studies in music at LASALLE 
College of the Arts, graduating with First Class Honours in Classical Music Performance under 
the tutelage of the Polish born pianist, Mr. Arkadiusz Bialak.
Being interested in both traditional and contemporary, solo, and chamber repertoires, Megaria 
has been exploring various solo and duet repertoires from Bach, Beethoven, Brahms to 20th 
century compositions such as John Cage, George Crumb, Oliver Knussen, Anna Pidgorna, and 
many others. In 2011, Megaria held a recital in Medan and in February 2016, another full concert 
at LASALLE College of the Arts together with fellow colleague Aloysius Foong in a 
collaboration of two pianos and four-hands works.
Wanting to delve deeper into music and hone her skills in performance, Megaria decided further 
her studies and moved to Canada for her MMus in Literature and Performance at the University 
of Western Ontario, under Dr. John Hess. Since then, Megaria has graduated from her MMus 
programme and is currently pursuing a DMA in Collaborative Piano at the same university with 
Dr. John Hess and Dr. Angela Park. Since then, she has performed numerous solo works by 
contemporary composers, as well as collaborate in numerous chamber and orchestral works.

THE ARTISTS
Patricia Green's career includes an international presence in operas, oratorios, recital and 
chamber music. Known fo r remarkable versatility and exceptional musicianship, she makes a 
specialty of the music of living and Canadian composers. She has created over th ir ty  world 
premieres and worked w ith acclaimed composers such as Pierre Boulez, R. Murray Schafer, 
Gyorgy Ligeti, Lasse Thoresen, Lori Laitman, Hilary Tann, Alice Ho, Shulamit Ran, George 
Walker, Emily Doolittle and Laura Schwendinger. She has 3 solo recordings on the award­
winning Blue Griffin label and 9 other recordings on Albany Records, Newport Classics, and 
Naxos. A passionate educator, Ms. Green has taught masterclasses across China, in Italy, the 
U.S., and Canada. She teaches at the summer opera program, La Musica Lirica, in 
Novafeltria, Italy. In 2019, created the firs t International Institute fo r Voice and Piano in 
Xuzhou, China.
Angela Park has established herself as one of Canada's most sought-after pianists, 
perform ing across Canada, the United States, Europe, Japan, and Mexico. She is a founding 
member of the award-winning Ensemble Made in Canada, Mercer-Park Duo, and the AYR 
Trio. Angela is also an artis t fo r Piano Six - New Generation, an organization tha t brings 
world-class pianists to  remote com munities across Canada. In 2010 Angela earned her DMA 
in Performance from  the Université de Montréal, and previously received her MMus and 
BMus degrees from  the University of Toronto. From 2011-2014, Angela was Visiting Assistant 
Professor of Collaborative Piano-Woodwinds at Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music. 
She has been Artist-in-Residence at Western University w ith Ensemble Made in Canada since 
2014.
Sharon Wei is a dynamic and m ulti-faceted Canadian violinist, establishing herself as one of 
the most respected violists on the scene today. She has performed recital tours under the 
auspices of Debut Atlantic and Prairie Debut and won the viola prize at Yale University. 
Sharon co-founded Ensemble Made in Canada in 2006. They have released 3 critically 
acclaimed CDs and the ir recent Mosaïque Project toured to  every province and te rrito ry  in 
Canada. This season Sharon will perform on a Musicians from  Marlboro National Tour with 
concerts at Carnegie Hall, Philadelphia Chamber Music Society among others. Sharon was 
on facu lty at Yale and Stanford University and is currently Associate Professor of viola at 
Western University. At Western, Sharon has created a course fo r performance majors in 
which students learn off-stage initiatives such as networking, grant writing, website design, 
and managing finances.
