Underlying Causes of Intergenerational Conflict Between Parent-Child Age Bands in Multan City, Pakistan: A Comparative Study
The present study was designed to find out the underlying causes of intergenerational conflict between parents and their teenage children in Multan city, Pakistan. The escalated dispute between the Boomer and X generations originated due to abridged connectivity, inadequate emotional ties, and modified socialization patterns. A cross-sectional survey research design was used to determine the comparison of opinions between the parent-child age cohorts. A sample size of n1=202 parents and n2=410 unmarried teenage children from n=120 families were selected from the two towns of the study vicinity. The data was analyzed through simple linear regression analysis in SPSS version-21. From the results, it was evident that inadequate appreciation and affection induced the highest magnitude of parent-child conflict i.e. 50.3%. Furthermore, three other significant indicators of the intergenerational conflict between the two generations were i) lack of time spent (44.2%) ii) ineffective communication (49.1%) and iii) devaluing each other and non-fulfillment of commitment (36.1%). The concluding remarks unveiled that the parents and children were bound by the unbending and inflexible ideology of “Me on the right path.” This stubborn approach unable these two generations to understand and respect each others “privacy” “new normative trends” and “emerging needs of the modernized world.” The solidarity and relational ties between the two age allies could be augmented through understanding, forgiveness, acceptance, appreciation, commitment, adequate time spent, effective communication, and cognitive restructuring.

Safety Leadership in High-risk Organizations: The Cost of Being a Good Soldier
Safety leadership has emerged as an important area of interest for both the practitioner and researcher in maintaining safety in high-risk industries, however literature has not attempted to explore the dark side of such practices. This study explored the negative consequences of being good with safety. For this purpose data was collected from the employees of high risk organizations (electricity distribution firms). A sample of 400 respondents was approached under convenience sampling technique, out of which 314 completely filled responses were considered for data analysis. Data was analyzed using Smart PLS 3.9 Software by applying the Structural Equation Modeling Technique (SEM). Results indicate that, safety leadership improves the safety citizenship behavior among the workers of high risk organizations, however it has also been linked with the citizenship fatigue. Research limitations and future directions are also discussed.

Government’s Income Support and Women Empowerment: Regional Estimates of a Lower Middle-Income Economy
Investment in women is the smart thing to do. Pakistan has to meet SDGs till 2030, among which the 5th goal is empowering women and gender equality. We have to find the correlates that affects the empowerment of a woman to empower them. For this purpose, the current study was designed. A large sample of 12339 married women aged between 15 to 49 years was taken from PDHS 2017-18. The status of women empowerment was evaluated by formulating an index (ranged from score 0 to 10) by taking the 8 dimensions of women empowerment namely, woman’s decision making autonomy, digital inclusion, educational status, employment status, ownership of house, self-esteem, consent in choosing husband and her inclusion in financial sectors. The extent of women empowerment is observed at urban and rural areas. For analysis, ordered logistic regression technique was applied by using SPSS-23. It was concluded that as compared to women of urban areas, the women belonged to rural areas were less empowered. The disaggregated analyses showed that the determining factors of women empowerment were affecting in similar way in both urban and rural areas, except that of BISP which was increasing women empowerment in rural areas but not in the urban areas
Understanding the Relationship of Energy Consumption and Economic Determinants in ASEAN-5 Countries
The study examines the relationships between energy consumption and a range of key economic determinants within the ASEAN-5 countries spanning four decades from 1980 to 2020. Utilizing robust regression analysis, it explores the complex dynamics linking energy consumption to economic growth, inflation rate, financial development, and total population in these Southeast Asian nations. The findings consistently underscore the presence of positive relationships between energy consumption and the key variables across the ASEAN-5 region, with a particularly strong correlation between energy usage and GDP. However, the impact of economic growth on energy consumption varies significantly, notably exemplified by Indonesia, where a unique negative correlation challenges conventional wisdom. While inflation rates exhibit a positive relationship with energy consumption, their influence is eclipsed by other contributing factors. Financial development emerges as a pivotal driver of heightened energy consumption, aligning with established literature, while total population's impact fluctuates, proving positive in Malaysia and Indonesia but negative in the Philippines, Thailand, and Singapore. Ultimately, these nuanced findings underscore the need for comprehensive and individually tailored energy policies that align with the distinct dynamics of each ASEAN-5 country, fostering sustainable economic growth while mitigating the environmental impact of increased energy consumption
The Impact of Bullwhip Effect on the Supply Chain Performance With the Mediating Effect of Information Sharing Among an Enterprise and Suppliers
This research aims to observe the impact of bullwhip effect on supply chain performance, the research is focused on how the bullwhip effect distorts the information sharing and to what extent that distortion effects the supply chain performance of a firm. This research also explains that the quality and quantity of information sharing deeply effects the supply chain performance. It tries to establish the fact that if the information is accurate and is shared timely, this can lead to increased performance, it also emphasizes on the importance of the supply chain integration and partner’s relationship in mitigating the bullwhip effect.
This research study will serve as an important contribution to the filed of supply chain management, as such type of research has not been conducted earlier by keeping the Pakistani firms as the unit of analysis. The study reveals that through proper, timely and accurate exchange of information between an enterprise and its supplier the firm can lessen uncertainty, order fulfillment rate is improved, costs is reduced and can ultimately increase the performance.
The study reveals that bullwhip effect strongly effects the information and its flow, but if the information is managed properly and its quality is increased then it results in strong partner relations which leads to supply chain integration. It has been found that the supply chain integration strongly effects the supply chain performance of a firm, better the supply chain integration the better would be the performance of the overall supply chai

Environmental Sustainability Analysis Using Moderation of Transport Competitiveness for Industrial-Induced EKC
Combating adversities of climate change and promoting clean energy are two important goals of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The nations of the World have developed various commitments to reduce global warming. The transportation sector share is above twenty percent in total global Greenhouse Gas emissions which is continuously rising over time. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) in its recent report conducted a scenario analysis and suggested reducing net emissions by 2050. The transport competitiveness index indicates the quality and expansion of transport services. Accordingly, this research study uses the data of 121 countries for which transport competitiveness is documented by the World Economic Forum (WEF). The period of the study is confined to 2008-2018. The sample countries are segregated into four groups on the basis of transport sector emissions. The study uses Panel Quantile Regression (PQR) framework to estimate results and to validate the industrial Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC). The findings indicate that transport competitiveness mitigates transport sector emissions in the majority of groups/categories. Inverted U shape industrial EKC has been authenticated in group-1 and U shape industrial EKC for the other three groups. The moderation of transportation competitiveness specified the flattening of industrial EKC across all quantile groups. The empirical findings indicate that moderation results in the sustainability of industrial EKC at higher levels of industrial growth. Among other variables, the governing ability of institutions and planned population expansion are observed in mitigating emissions. The policy options are discussed depending on the results of the groups
