The Doctrine of Eternal Security: A Reflection on Perseverance of the Saints

    Get PDF
One of the basic tenets in Christian doctrine is the doctrine of the Perseverance of the Saints, also known as Eternal Security. It provides a guarantee of eternal security for their salvation. According to this doctrine, once a person has been genuinely saved through faith in Jesus Christ, it is not possible to lose it. Rooted in the biblical characterization of God—His faithfulness and the sufficiency of Christ's atoning work—eternal security brings comfort and hope to believers. This paper considers some of the key scriptural texts supporting the doctrine, such as John 10:28-29 and Ephesians 1:13-14, which affirm that believers are firmly held in Christ's hands and sealed by the Holy Spirit. It also goes into the nuances of salvation as a process of transformation whereby the believer is continuously in the process of sanctification. The paper also argues against the common objections surrounding eternal security and brings a balanced account of the responsibility of a believer in salvation but without sacrificing divine sovereignty for human agency. The doctrine is then set forth not only as an assurance of salvation but as a stimulus for good living and persistence in faith, improving the person's relationship with God and a life lived with spiritual growth. This reflection would attempt to reaffirm that the assurance of eternal security is both a protective force against despair and a motivating power for holy living

    Get PDF
Financial performance of emerging Circular Economy (CE) enterprises in rural South Punjab is examined from the standpoint of CE practices impact on revenue growth, profitability, cost savings and financial sustainability. Structured surveys and financial records were obtained from 150 small and medium sized businesses (SMEs) from across sectors, including agriculture, renewable energy, waste management, and manufacturing. It shows that most enterprises implementing Circular Economy practices with waste reduction/recycling and renewable energy among the most widely adopted practices report positive financial outcomes from the adoption. In particular, 60% of enterprises had revenue growth, 55% increased profitability and 45% generated cost savings of 20–25%. Circular Economy adoption is shown through regression analysis to be significantly positively related to improved financial performance, with the most effective drivers being waste reduction and renewable energy use. However, limited access to capital, poor technical expertise, and weak waste management infrastructure remain key barriers. However, there are also opportunities including access to local agricultural waste, lower labor costs and increasing demand for sustainable products which can be strong inducements for more Circular Economy adoption. The ability of Circular Economy practices to improve the financial sustainability of rural enterprises in tandem with environmental and economic resilience is underlined in the study

    Get PDF
This paper explores the role of digital transformation in altering the effects of educator burnout and mental wellbeing by affecting virtual teachers. The increased use of digital technologies in educational institutions has introduced educators with dual content management and technological platform duties that have led to levels of stress among educators. The research methods applied were quantitative, incorporating data that was sourced from 385 teachers. Various educational levels were included: the relationship between digital workload, digital literacy, support administration offered, and psychological indicators of mental health. The findings of this research revealed very highly positive correlations between digital workload and burnout (r = 0.62) and between burnout and mental health, notably anxiety and depression (r = 0.60 and r = 0.65 respectively). Indeed, the study found that increased digital literacy and administration support showed a positive relationship with reduced burnout. Results raise an enormous need for educational leaders to take strategic interventions through the enhancements of support systems, the development of digital literacy, and other resources related to mental health to counter some of the complexities of teaching related to the point of digital teaching. With such strength at its findings, there are indeed still limitations to this study, among which it relied on the self-reported data and the cross-sectional designs where it could not make way for causal inference. Future research should focus on long-term effects of digital transformation for educators' mental health as well as the potency of interventions to prevent burnout in digital educational settings. Findings from this study have implications for policymakers and education institutions looking to develop environments that promote educator wellbeing in the context of digital transformation

Mobile Banking is a cutting-edge technological innovation in the banking industry that has greatly increased banking efficiency and boosted the overall quality of life for individuals. Financial firms are increasingly attracted to systems that enhance the quality of client service. This study aims to further our understanding of the adoption of Islamic mobile banking by utilizing the Technological Acceptance Model (TAM). This study presents a research approach that utilizes the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) to investigate the factors that influence consumers' adoption of Islamic mobile banking. Consequently, it offers insights into the crucial factors that banking professionals must take into account to promote the integration of mobile technology in Islamic banking services. The data for this study were collected by a questionnaire survey and then analyzed using SPSS and Smart PLS 3.0, utilizing structural equation modeling (SEM). The study sample comprised 350 individuals who were customers of various branches of five Islamic banks, namely Meezan Bank Limited, Dubai Islamic Bank, Al-Baraka Bank Limited, MCB Islamic Bank Limited, and Bank AlFalah Islamic. After conducting data screening procedures, a final sample of 300 respondents was selected for analysis. The findings indicate that characteristics such as Perceived Usefulness (PU) and Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU) have a positive influence on the Intention to Use (INT), supporting the notion that PU has a positive impact on PEOU according to the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). The research findings suggest that customers' adoption of Islamic banking is positively influenced by their intentions to utilize it, and these intentions are further enhanced by social influence

How Languages Constructs Gender Roles and Reflects Power Dynamics in Literature, Exploring Speech Acts, Conversational Dominance, and Stereotypes

    Get PDF
This research study analyses how language constructs gender roles and reflects power dynamics in literature, through speech acts, conversational dominance, and gendered stereotypes. Applying qualitative research methods and thematic analysis supported by NVivo software, this study examines how language in selected literary works mirrors societal gender norms and power structures. Works, such as by Toni Morrison, Virginia Woolf, Margaret Atwood, and William Shakespeare, show that the fact is that the language occupies a crucial place in a play of the power relation both in disrupting and in maintaining it. There is a realization of how the linguistic activity of the male character subordinates and, while women often turn to relatively servile speech forms within the dominant social hierarchies of gender. However, literature itself becomes a source of resistance through the language that upsets the norms. This is manifested in several works that challenge traditional norms through the language used and overturning conventional gender roles. The study leads to a broader implication based on the findings in illuminating the complex relationship of language with gender and power views in society. It concludes the research but suggests more avenues for further study such as non-Western literature, contemporary texts and also the intersectionality of gender with other social identities

    Get PDF
This study seeks to explore the relationships between renewable energy innovations, green technology adoption, sustainable economic growth, and environmental performance. The data were gathered through a structured survey of 300 respondents analyzed using SPSS through descriptive statistics, correlation, regression, and ANOVA. Descriptive analysis shows that renewable energy R&D investment and green technology adoption have been moderately improved (Mean = 1.9267 and Mean = 1.9367, respectively). However, high costs and absence of infrastructure act as a deterrent for further development (Mean = 1.9900). GDP adjusted for environmental considerations grew at a moderate pace (Mean = 2.0167), the perceived carbon emissions reduction effect was low (Mean = 1.9033), and share of renewable energy in total energy production was low (Mean = 1.9567). There were statistically significant positive correlations, with a high correlation between renewable energy R&D investment and green technology adoption (r = 0.670) and environmental performance (r = 0.975). Regression analysis further confirmed that the expenditure of renewable energy R&D was an important determinant for the growth of GDP (B = 0.535, R² = 0.288, p < 0.001). ANOVA was found to be statistically significant with the impact of adoption levels of green technology on carbon emission reduction perception (F = 9.564, p < 0.001). Post hoc Tukey HSD analyses indicated a significantly different mean in higher versus moderate adoption levels. The results conclude that R&D investment in renewable energy, favorable policies, and adopting green technology have a vital function in attaining sustainable growth coupled with environmental betterment. This work, therefore, offers policy and stakeholder insights with concrete information into how to remove barriers and pick up pace toward renewable energy transitions to achieve global sustainability goals

    Get PDF
This study investigates the impact of AI-driven personalization on self-perception, group identity, and social interactions across major social media platforms, including Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube. Utilizing a quantitative approach, data was collected from 500 participants using stratified random sampling to ensure a diverse representation across age, gender, education, and geographic location. The study tests three hypotheses: (H1) AI personalization negatively affects self-perception, increasing anxiety and lowering self-esteem; (H2) personalized content strengthens group identity, leading to greater polarization; (H3) AI reduces social interactions by limiting exposure to diverse viewpoints. Descriptive statistics revealed moderate engagement with personalized content (M = 3.48, SD = 1.12) and notable anxiety (M = 3.26, SD = 1.23). Correlation analysis showed significant negative relationships between personalized content and self-esteem (r = -0.45) and anxiety (r = -0.53), while positive correlations were found between personalized content and in-group bias (r = 0.62). Regression analysis confirmed that personalized content exposure predicted lower self-esteem (? = -0.45), stronger in-group bias (? = 0.62), and reduced interaction with out-groups (? = -0.48). ANOVA results indicated significant differences in anxiety and self-esteem across age groups, with younger participants exhibiting higher anxiety and lower self-esteem. These findings support the hypotheses, showing that AI personalization can negatively affect self-perception, foster group identity, and limit social interactions by curating content that aligns with pre-existing preferences
