Cultivating Empathy through Communication: Understanding Others to Improve Relationships
Get PDFThis systematic literature review aims at exploring the effects of empathy in communication. This is because, as the review points out from major empirical studies, empathy is important in promoting prosocial behavior, improving ethical reasoning and improve interpersonal relations within and outside the health fields and education. Concerning the limitations of empathy, it finds that empathy is not immune to biases and empathic burnout, and, thus, requires a better understanding. Furthermore, the research highlights several directions for the future studies pointing out that future research must investigate how empathy is incorporated in various social media platforms and how multicultural communication tactics can be designed. Such findings are important to enhance the strength of empathy for the world that is becoming an increasingly globalized environment, which requires not only understanding and cooperation but also compassion to solve various social issues. The review establishes empathy as a viable approach in communication especially in an emergency
Measuring the Success of Corporate Social Responsibility Programs: A Study of Indonesian Companies

The research concludes that CSR institutionalization is crucial to attaining positive CSR outcomes because it facilitates the normalization of social responsibility norms within the business. Long-term success in CSR projects also depends on social capital with stakeholders like local communities and government entities. Aligning CSR initiatives with the SDGs established by the United Nations can boost their impact and help achieve global environmental goals. Empowering Communities through Non-Formal Education: A Case Study in Rural India
Get PDFThis study aims to assess the impact of a non-formal education program implemented by a local NGO in a rural Indian community. The study evaluates how the program, which included training in health, hygiene, nutrition, and agriculture, contributes to community empowerment and well-being. The research employed qualitative methods, including interviews and focus groups such as community leaders and program coordinators. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis to extract key insights on the program’s effectiveness and its effects on the community. The non-formal education program significantly improved participants' knowledge and skills in practical areas, leading to enhanced health practices and agricultural productivity. Participants reported increased self-confidence and a stronger sense of community. Key informants observed improvements in community engagement, health outcomes, and overall development efforts. The findings highlight the program's role in empowering individuals and fostering collective action within the community

The objective of research was to determine the relationship between society’s participations with flood disaster mitigation at Tolite village, Boliyohuto sub district. The design used quantitative descriptive with cross sectional study approach. The populations are 1101 respondents of societies with sampling was used purposive sampling technique with the samples determinate used slovin formula therefore obtained the samples are 92 respondents. Statistical test used chi square. With significance value is p value= 0,005 small than (p<0,05) thus Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. The Effectiveness of Implementing the Socialization of Agricultural Quarantine Regulations in Gorontalo Province
Get PDFThis study aims to obtain an overview of the Implementation of the Socialization of Agricultural Quarantine Regulations in Gorontalo Province, the research method uses qualitative type. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews with a number of informants and observations and recording secondary data related to the research problem. If viewed from the source approach shows that resources have not been effective in supporting the successful implementation of the socialization of agricultural quarantine regulations because there are still some who do not understand the rules at the time of socialization, whereas in the process approach shows the implementation of quarantine regulation socialization in accordance with the Act or regulations has been determined but has not been effective because there are still obstacles encountered in its implementation, namely that there are still many who do not understand the quarantine regulation. The target approach shows that Gorontalo Class II Agricultural Quarantine Center Achievement has not been effective, because it has not achieved the desired target, the results of the implementation of the socialization have not been fully assessed. There are still obstacles in the form of the lack of commitment of quarantine officers or human resources. So that the impact on the lack of application of services
The Role of the Patient's Family in Implementing the Discipline of Health Protocols at the Otanaha Hospital, Gorontalo City

Efforts that can be made in the prevention phase by each individual include: wearing a mask, using a hand sanitizer/disinfectant, washing hands with soap and running water, keeping a distance of at least 1-2 meters from other people when outside the house. The purpose of this community service is to provide counseling to the community in the poly room of the Otanaha Hospital, Gorontalo City about the role of the patient's family in implementing health protocol discipline during the Covid-19 pandemic. Counseling was carried out through the pretest and posttest stages by distributing questionnaires to the public. There were 20 communities who were given counseling. The pre-test values of knowledge about health protocol disciplines before counseling were obtained were Good 20%, Enough 15% and Less 65%, while after the counseling the post-test scores were found to be Good 55%, Enough 45%. Get PDFThis research was conducted at SMAN 1 Telaga Biru. The aim was to determine the effect of the demonstration method on breast self-examination in adolescent girls. This research method used an experimental design with a pre-experimental one group pre-test-posttest design. The sample in this study were 56 respondents. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon sign rank test. The results showed that Pvalue = 0.000 which means it is smaller than = 0.05. Thus, there is a difference between breast self-examination conducted by young women before and after being given the demonstration method. It is said that there is an effect of the demonstration method on breast self-examination in adolescent girls at SMAN 1 Telaga Biru

The research method uses a qualitative approach with descriptive research type. Data collection techniques are done through interviews with a number of informants and observations and recording secondary data related to research problems. The results of the study concluded that the evaluation of suitable program programs for habitation has not been effective, this is seen from the obstacles encountered in the distribution / construction of livable houses that must be in accordance with the stated objectives. Seen from the indicator of the equal distribution of programs that have been conducted unevenly. Accuracy in implementing policies has been done well but not yet optimal, this is because the accuracy in terms of policies is still lacking on the desired target, in this case the recipients of inappropriate housing programs are not appropriate
