It focuses on understanding the components of these training programs, evaluating their impact on journal management skills, and exploring case studies and best practices to provide a comprehensive overview of successful journal management strategies. Comprehensive training programs significantly enhance the journal management skills of lecturers. Key components of effective training include editorial process management, ethical standards enforcement, understanding and leveraging journal metrics, technical and administrative proficiency, and marketing and outreach strategies. Trained journal managers demonstrate improved efficiency in handling submissions, conducting peer reviews, and maintaining high ethical standards. The implementation of best practices, such as rigorous peer review processes and effective marketing strategies, leads to increased journal visibility, higher citation rates, and enhanced overall impact
Tracing the Growth of Collocational Competence in Indonesian Non-English Major EFL Learners
Get PDFCollocational competence plays a critical role in shaping the fluency and naturalness of second language use, yet it remains a persistent challenge for learners in foreign language contexts. This study examined the development of collocational knowledge among Indonesian university students from non-English majors through a six-week instructional intervention combining noticing tasks, matching exercises, and productive writing activities. Using a quasi-experimental pre-test and post-test design with 20 participants, results revealed significant gains in collocational competence, with the group mean rising from 43.2 to 79.6 and a very large effect size (d = 4.36). Learners with the weakest initial performance showed the greatest improvements, and overall variance decreased, indicating the equalizing impact of explicit collocational instruction. These findings suggest that collocational competence is highly responsive to focused and contextualized learning, even in contexts with limited exposure to authentic input. The study contributes empirical support for integrating collocational instruction into EFL programs for non-English majors and highlights the pedagogical potential of phraseological approaches to vocabulary teaching in higher education
Exploring the Implementation and Impact of Community Policing Strategies in Indonesia: A Case Study of Jakarta
Get PDFThis paper critically discussed the practise and consequences of the community policing in Jakarta Indonesia, using case study method of research. Derived from the literature on social capital, bureaucratic policing, and participatory policing, the study focuses on the issues of trust and information exchange, lack of resources, police ranks and hierarchy, as well as people’s awareness. They highlight important shortcomings which have limited the success of community policing such as; inadequacy of resources and the challenges of a systemized policing structure. The research also reveals severe lack of public knowledge concerning community policing thereby hampering community involvement and participation. This is the sum up of the research that indicate that for community policing to embraced and work well, there need to be decentralisation, proper resource provision and more awareness creation. Consequently, they advance theoretical knowledge to the theory of community policing and provide recommendations concerning its application in heterogeneity socio political situation

Get PDFChildbirth is the process of expelling the living products of conception from the uterus and then out through the birth canal, in the process of labor starting from the first stage with uterine contractions, dilatation and thinning of the cervix and descent of the fetus during labor accompanied by pain. Labor pain is characterized by uterine contractions, contractions starting at the 30th week of pregnancy which are called braxton hicks caused by irregular changes in the hormones estrogen and progesterone. Pain that accompanies uterine contractions affects the physiological mechanisms of a number of body systems which always cause a stress response so that Efforts are made to reduce labor pain, while one technique to relieve pain is massage effleurage technique. Effleurage massage is a massage technique using the palms of the hands in a circular motion pattern on several parts of the body. This technique can help distract and reduce anxiety. The role of Effleurage is to produce impulses that are sent through the cerebrum nerve fibers that are on the surface of the skin of these fibers, which can inhibit pain so that the brain cannot receive pain stimuli. The research method used is pre-experimental research with a pretest design post test one grub design is a measurement that is done before and after the study. In this study, it was shown that there was an effect of massage effleurage on reducing labor pain during the first stage of the latent phase in labor mothers
Improving Reading Ability Using Big Book Media in Class I Students at SDN 2 Bulango Utara
Get PDFThis research aimed to improve reading skills using Big Book media for grade 1 students at SDN 2 Bulango Utara. The type of research used is classroom action research, with the research subject being a grade I student totaling 27 students. This research was carried out in the form of cycles, and each cycle consisted of 4 stages, namely the planning stage, the implementation stage, the observation, and the reflection stages. This research shows that students’ reading ability in Indonesian language subjects is still in the low category. This is indicated by the low reading ability of students at the time of the initial observation reaching 37.03% with capable criteria, and the reading ability of students in cycle I of 62.96% in capable criteria with a fairly good category, while the reading ability of students in cycle II increased by 100% with very good categories in capable criteria. The application of Big Book learning media can improve students’ reading skills in class I at SDN 2 Bulango Utara, Bone Bolango Regency. The achievement of providing action from cycle I to cycle II researchers ended the meeting in cycle II third meeting because it had met the predetermined performance indicators of 80%

Multiple studies have demonstrated that these pandemic affects individuals of all ages, although the incidence rate is lowest among young people. The global situation, however, has led to the observation of distinct effects within this group. The reason can be said that in many countries around the world, schools, colleges and universities are closed for a long time. This changes the general lifestyle of the youth group. In this paper, the impact of Covid-19 on the lifestyle of youth groups is discussed. The impact of this virus has been seen to be more pronounced among the youth. Because of the impact, changes in their lifestyles have been found that have been dire. This study found that during Covid-19, youth spent more time sleeping than they normally would. During the pandemic, instead of using their study time, they have spent a lot of time on social media or various types of games. And, the positive impact is that Covid-19 is introducing young people as well as all students to the online education system. Badly the pandemic has a significant impact on the mental health of young people. On the other side, the pandemic has had a positive impact on the lives of young people in terms of hygiene
Analysis of Supervision and Audit Strategy in Improving Compliance of BPJS Employment Participant Companies
Get PDFThis study explores the effectiveness of supervision and inspection strategies employed by BPJS Ketenagakerjaan to enhance compliance among participant companies. Through a descriptive approach, interviews were conducted with internal (BPJS inspectors) and external (company representatives) stakeholders. The findings reveal that strategies focusing on Law Enforcement (sanction enforcement, compliance collaboration, and supervision enhancement) and Collection (digitalization and collaboration) have been well-implemented and understood across different organizational levels. Key factors influencing strategy success include effective communication, adequate resources, appropriate attitudes, and streamlined bureaucracy. Insights from both BPJS inspectors and company respondents underscore the significance of these strategies in fostering compliance with BPJS Ketenagakerjaan programs. This research contributes to understanding the pivotal role of supervision and inspection in regulatory compliance within social security frameworks

Penjaminan Kredit Daerah (Jamkrida) South Sulawesi. The data used were primary data and secondary data. Data collection was done through observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The data that has been collected is then processed and analyzed descriptively through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study indicate that to improve Service Excellent at PT. Penjaminan Kredit Daerah (Jamkrida) South Sulawesi, HRD conducts regular training and development to improve service quality so that it is expected to satisfy customers / prospective customers. Training and development of human resources carried out by PT. Penjaminan Kredit Daerah (Jamkrida) South Sulawesi include service excellence training or excellent service which aims to provide the best service to customers/prospective customers and socialization of consumer complaint resolution in Financial Services Business Actors. Good complaint handling will increase consumer confidence, which in turn can also increase consumer loyalty. In the end, customer loyalty will increase the company's revenue potential (profitability). It can be concluded that providing training to employees is the main strategy carried out by the HRD of PT. Penjaminan Kredit Daerah (Jamkrida) South Sulawesi, to increase service excellent and work productivity
Relationship Marketing and Customer Retention at Event Organizer Palembang
Get PDFThis study aims to identify the effect of relationship marketing on customer retention, with the locus being CV MS. The study used a quantitative method with multiple linear regression analysis. The sampling technique used the proportionate stratified random sampling method. Primary data collected through questionnaires to 91 samples. Relationship marketing variables were examined through four dimensions: trust, commitment, communication, and complaint handling. The study results showed that all four relationship marketing variables together influenced customer retention by 52.5 percent. If examined partially, the trust variable is the only variable that significantly influences customer retention. A strong correlation between the trust variable and customer retention also supports this. Thus, the success of building trust in CV MS with government clients is the main factor in fostering long-term relationships with consumers
