The The Construction of Guru Bakhiet's Gender Interpretation: Between Subordination and Women's Empowerment

    No full text
This study aims to examine the construction of Guru Bakhiet's gender interpretation in his interpretation of a number of verses of the Qur'an, focusing on the theme of subordination and women's empowerment. Guru Bakhiet interprets Qur'anic verses related to women, such as Surah al-Baqarah [2]: 228, Surah an-Nisa [4]: 1 and 34, Surah al-An'am [6]: 137, and Surah al-Isra [17]: 1, with an approach that prioritizes justice, equality, and protection of women's rights. This research uses critical analysis methods and hermeneutic approaches, this research reveals how Guru Bakhiet interprets verses related to women, including the obligation to wear the hijab, the position of husband and wife, women's rights, and women's relationships with men in the context of marriage. The results of the study show that Guru Bakhiet's interpretation is influenced by the dynamics in gender understanding in his interpretation, which not only reflects local traditions and culture, but also shows the potential to formulate a more inclusive view and empower women within the framework of Islamic teachings. Guru Bakhiet's interpretation shows that there is a tendency to put women in a subordinate position and at the same time try to empower women through fair religious learning, as well as the affirmation of women's rights in the family. Although she emphasizes the obligation of women to maintain honor and maintain manners, the interpretation also includes aspects that support the education and protection of women, such as in her views on the treatment of girls and efforts to prevent injustice in husband-wife relationships. So, this interpretation emphasizes the importance of women's empowerment through education and fair treatment, as well as criticizing practices that have the potential to suppress the role of women in society. Thus, it can be concluded that Guru Bakhiet's tafsir combines aspects of subordination and empowerment, by fighting for women's rights within the framework of humanist and contextual Islamic teachings

    Get PDF
This article seeks to examine Prabowo's leadership communication and its effect on the performance of the Red and White cabinet during the initial phase of his presidency, as well as the underlying factors that shaped his communication approach. The analysis employs theories of organizational and leadership communication to provide a comprehensive understanding. Utilizing a qualitative methodology, this research adopts an explanatory case study framework, gathering secondary data from various media sources, academic journals, and relevant documents. The findings indicate that Prabowo's leadership communication style embodies not just a singular model, but rather integrates three distinct models: transformative, transactional, and charismatic all at once. These models are employed by Prabowo within the context of superior-subordinate dynamics with his ministers and staffs. His communication strategies are significantly influenced by his military background and extensive political experience over the past decades. While Prabowo's communication model positively impacts cabinet performance by motivating ministers to pursue government objectives, it also reflects the often-controversial communication styles of his ministers, as evidenced during the early stages of his administration. This underscores the necessity for leaders, including the president, to recognize the critical role of effective leadership communication. Therefore, it is essential for Prabowo to meticulously develop his leadership communication style to facilitate the effective functioning of his cabinet

    Get PDF
The advancement of information technology has significantly transformed the structure of community activities, particularly in the trade sector. Many individuals engaged in sales now utilize digital platforms for marketing, making the process more efficient and profitable. Traditional physical shops are gradually being replaced by online commerce. However, this rapid development also brings challenges, particularly in the form of unlawful acts that may harm other parties. Therefore, a legal solution is necessary to address, prosecute, and enforce the law in the electronic commerce sector. This is essential to ensure legal certainty for business actors and to resolve legal violations fairly and systematically. The background of this study refers to several legal frameworks, namely Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Electronic Information and Transactions (UU ITE), the Civil Code (KUHP), and Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection. This research aims to serve as a valuable reference for the public to actively participate in e-commerce with a clear understanding of their rights and obligations. Furthermore, the study is expected to assist law enforcers in preventing, handling, and taking legal action against civil law violations by digital business actors. The results highlight the ongoing need for systematic efforts to educate the public comprehensively about e-commerce transactions and their legal protection through relevant laws, especially the UU ITE, KUHP, and Consumer Protection Law

This study aims to develop learning media based on virtual tours of local products in Lebak Regency and measure its effectiveness in improving media literacy and understanding of social studies learning concepts of elementary school students. The method used was an experiment with a pretest-posttest control group design, involving 64 grade IV students who were divided into two groups: an experimental group that used virtual tour media and a control group that used conventional learning methods. The virtual tour media is designed to introduce Lebak's local products, such as handicrafts, typical foods, and the production process, so that students can learn interactively without distance and time restrictions. Data was obtained through media literacy tests, social studies comprehension tests, observation sheets, and student response questionnaires. Data analysis was carried out using parametric statistical tests, including normality tests, homogeneity, independent sample t-tests, and normalized gain analysis (N-Gain). The results showed that the experimental group experienced a significant increase in media literacy and social studies comprehension compared to the control group. In addition, students in the experimental group responded positively to the use of virtual tour media. The virtual tour media has proven to be effective not only to increase students' understanding of the learning material, but also to strengthen their appreciation of local wisdom. The recommendation for further research is the development of similar media that can be implemented in other subjects with different local contexts

    Get PDF
Flood disaster is a significant hydrometeorological risk in North Kalimantan Province, demanding effective management programs. This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of flood disaster management programs in North Kalimantan Province with a focus on collaborative governance aspects. Using a qualitative approach with a case study method, this research collected data through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation from key stakeholders, including the BPBD, local government, TNI/Polri, and community elements. The analysis was conducted through a program effectiveness framework that includes input, process, output, and outcome stages. The results showed that the disaster management program was quite effective at the output stage, especially in the emergency response aspect. However, effectiveness at the input and process stages still faces significant obstacles. Limited resources (input) and weak coordination, incidental collaboration, and unstructured participation (process) are the main obstacles to achieving long-term outcomes, namely increased community resilience. This research concludes that the effectiveness of the program is hampered by the suboptimal implementation of sustainable collaborative governance. It is necessary to strengthen the joint commitment between institutionalized stakeholders to improve the overall effectiveness of the program
