SPATIAL PREPOSITIONALCASE CONSTRUCTIONS IN THE ATTRIBUTIVE FUNCTION IN MILOS CRNJANSKI’S NOVEL ABOUT LONDON
The subject of the paper is the syntactic-semantic and stylistic analysis of incongruent
attributes with spatial meaning in Miloš Crnjanskiʼs Novel about London. The phrases with a
noun head and a dependent prepositional case construction with spatial meaning are included.
The paper analyzes and classifies the semantic types of spatial prepositional-case constructions.
The semantic-syntactic analysis showed that the most frequent and syntactically diverse are
incongruent attributes with the meaning of indirectness. The results of the stylistic analysis
showed that there is a separation of subordinate constructions with a comma, which is
characteristic of the style of Miloš Crnjanski. Separation of syntagm elements is most common
in examples with the common noun head.Publishe
Employer Brand and Business Performance: The Role of Intellectual Capital
Intangible assets play a vital role in the hotel industry, in general, and can also ensure the sustainability of a business during a crisis. The aim of the paper is to identify the impact of employer brand on the business performance of hotel companies, including the mediating effect of intellectual capital as an element of intangible assets. The research was conducted among managers who are employed in 92 hotels, and who evaluated the dimensions of the employer brand, business performance (organisational performance and market performance), and intellectual capital. The research hypotheses were tested using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). The research model has supported the full mediating effect of intellectual capital between most of the employer brand dimensions and business performance. Results confirm the contribution of the employer brand to the business performance, with the support of intellectual capital and indicate the necessity of mutual use of intellectual capital and employer brand as key assets in a crisis.https://inzeko.ktu.lt/index.php/EE/article/view/30565Publishe
Experimental and numerical investigation of the deep drawing process using a tractrix die – An industrial case study focused on stress and temperature analysis
The deep drawing process of thick sheet metal for vessel production is carried
out by applying a tractrix die with the absence of a blank holder, which has
economic benefits for industrial production. The main aim of the paper is the
development of a reliable numerical thermo-mechanical model of a silicon
brass vessel manufactured by a deep drawing process in a tractrix die and a
subsequent ironing process, which includes the previous assembly of the dies
with reinforcing rings that creates the required prestresses. The testing of the
mechanical properties of silicon brass CuZn24Si was carried out by a standard
uniaxial tensile test, thus a flow curve was determined to describe the material
behaviour. The initial temperatures of the environment, blank and tools were
measured with an infrared thermal imager. A comprehensive finite element
stress analysis of the deformable tools was carried out for the assembly phase
of the dies, and for workpiece and tools in the deep drawing and ironing pro-
cesses. The comparison of measured and numerically estimated temperatures
had a good agreement, so the developed numerical model was confirmed and
validated. This research study demonstrates how different process parameters
can be investigated through a reliable and precise numerical model with comple-
mentary experimental research for the optimization of industrial technology. The part of this research is supported by the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation, Republic of Serbia, Grant TR34002 and Grant TR32036, as well as Erasmus Grant 2020-1-ES01-KA203-081978Publishe
SESELI RIGIDUM WALDST. & KIT: SECONDARY METABOLITES AND ANTIOXIDANT ACTIVITY OF METHANOL, ETHYL ACETATE AND ACETONE EXTRACTS
Representatives of the Seseli genus are recognized for their biological activities. The objective of this study was to analyze the phenolic and flavonoid content, along with the antioxidant effects, of methanol, ethyl acetate, and acetone extracts obtained from the roots, leaves, stems, and fruits of S. rigidum. Through spectrophotometric measurements of phenols and flavonoids, the results revealed that the polar (methanol) solvent extract from the leaves exhibited the highest concentrations of phenols (98.66 ± 2.64 mg GA/g) and flavonoids (20.74 ± 0.55 mg RU/g), surpassing those obtained from the stem. Specifically, the methanol extract from the leaves demonstrated the highest antioxidant activity at 25.87 ± 0.05 μg/mL, while the fruit extract exhibited the lowest antioxidant activity at 638.5 ± 0.01 μg/mL. Notably, the total phenol content displayed a strong positive correlation with the antioxidant activity of the extracts, unlike the total flavonoid content.Publishe
Dynamic Event-Triggered Consensus Control for Interval Type-2 Fuzzy Multi-Agent Systems
This study investigates a fuzzy consensus problem for nonlinear multi-agent systems (MASs) with parameter
uncertainties via dynamic event-triggered mechanism. The interval type-2 (IT2) fuzzy systems are used to model MASs, and a dynamic event-triggered fuzzy controller is presented. A Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional is constructed in which the sampling property is included, based on which the sufficient condition is determined for dynamic event-triggered fuzzy controller, while all agents are guaranteed to be consensus exponentially.
Finally, the MASs of tunnel diode circuit and one-link manipulator are used to verify the efficiency of the presented control method, respectively.Publishe
Effect of feed supplementation, rearing system and genotype on the fat-soluble vitamins content of eggs: a review
Functional foods are foods that offer health benefits over and
above their nutritional value. As eggs are a food of global importance,
many authors believe that they are an ideal candidate for
functional foods of the future, as it is possible to influence their
chemical composition through production technology. Vitamins
are one of the most important groups of micronutrients essential
for human health, and eggs are recognised as an important source
of vitamins in the diet, especially fat-soluble vitamins. The egg yolk
contains large amounts of vitamins A, D, E and K. Eating two eggs
a day covers 10% to 30% of a person’s vitamin requirements. This
paper reviews the results of a large number of researchers on the
influence of various aspects of production technology on the content
of fat-soluble vitamins in eggs. Most attention has been paid to
the influence of vitamin supplements in feed for laying hens, but
also to the influence of the rearing system and the genotype as well
as the interaction between the vitamins.Publishe
Sample Preparation of Adherent Cell Lines for Flow Cytometry: Protocol Optimization—Our Experience with SW-480 colorectal cancer cell line
The most common method for detection of apoptosis is fow cytometry. In previously published studies there
are some uncertainties and problems about the preparation of adherent cell lines for analysis. Thus, the aim of this study is to determine and describe how preparing the sample of SW-480 cells in two diferent ways afects the reliability of the results. In Protocol 1 the total cell number, cells in fow media and cells which adhere, were used, while in Protocol 2 the medium was removed after cell incubation and only the adherent cells were used. Results show statistically signifcant changes in percentages of diferent cell types (viable, apoptosis, and necrosis) between two diferent protocols. Protocol 2, where the frst medium with dead cells were removed and only the cells that were attached to the bottom were used for analysis, give better cell viability in the control sample. Removing the medium is especially recommended for long-term treatments, where the cells consume nutrients and, due to lack, initiate apoptosis. After 72 h, spontaneous apoptosis is detectable in control cells and indicates low viability of the control sample, while in treated cells by proapoptotic substances, together with induced apoptosis leads to cumulative or synergistic efects.Publishe

TWO FACES OF FEAR IN STORIES FOR CHILDREN BY PREŽIHOV VORANC, IVO ZORMAN, AND JANJA VIDMAR
Publishe
GRAIN YIELD AND YIELD COMPONENTS OF PROSPECTIVE HOMOZYGOUS WINTER WHEAT GENOTYPES
During the two-year research on the experimental field of the Grain Center in Kragujevac, the 1,000 grain weight, hectoliter mass and grain yield of ten prospective homozygous genotypes of wheat were analyzed. During the growing season, the average annual temperature and precipitation were favorable for growing wheat. In both growing seasons, precipitation was 120 mm more than the annual average, and 220 mm more in the second year. Genotype L-1/59 had the highest grain yield and the highest 1,000-grain weight, while the hectoliter mass was more or less equal to other genotypes. All genotypes had a satisfactory 1,000-grain weight ranging from 43 to 50 g. On average, all analyzed lines had a hectoliter mass greater than 80 for both years, which ranks them as high quality.Publishe
