Analytical Study of Control Systems For Power Loss Minimization In 20 kV Medium Voltage Distribution Network at PT PLN (Persero) ULP Balige
A Power losses in medium voltage distribution networks remain a significant concern for utility companies, particularly in developing regions. This study presents an analytical investigation into the role of control systems in minimizing power losses within the 20 kV medium voltage distribution network at PT PLN (Persero) ULP Balige. This paper research focuses on identifying key components contributing to energy losses, such as unbalanced loading, reactive power flow, and suboptimal voltage regulation. A control system approach is analysed through simulations and system performance evaluations, involving the implementation of automatic capacitor bank control, transformer tap changers, and load balancing strategies. Using simulation tools such as ETAP and actual operational data from the Balige, distribution network, the study evaluates system behaviour under various control scenarios. The results show that implementing a responsive and automated control system significantly reduces technical losses, improves power factor, and enhances voltage profile stability across the network. The study concludes that an integrated control strategy tailored to the characteristics of the local network can optimize distribution efficiency and reduce operational costs. This research provides practical recommendations for PT PLN and similar utilities seeking to modernize their distribution infrastructure through smarter control technologies and data-driven planning
Strategy Analysis of the Public Works Office Public Works and Public Housing in the Construction of Special Road Transportation Mining from Mining Business Licensing in Jambi Province
The purpose of this study is to analyze the Strategy of the Public Works and Public Housing Agency in the Development of Special Mining Transportation Roads from Mining Business Licensing in Jambi Province. The research method uses qualitative descriptive analysis, the study uses a purposive sampling method. Data and information collection, namely observation, interviews, and questionnaires. Data validation tests carried out by researchers are by using source triangulation techniques, technical triangulation, and time triangulation. The results of the study show that 1) the long licensing process often hampers implementation. Supervision and feasibility studies exist, but high costs for land acquisition are an obstacle. The involvement of the PUPR Agency in supervision is still lacking, and government support in complex licensing also needs to be improved. To maximize implementation, there needs to be increased socialization of the benefits of special roads, simplification of the licensing process with one-stop service, and a fair compensation scheme for the community. Improving coordination between agencies and holding regular discussion forums is also very important. 2) The challenges in implementing the strategy of building special mining roads by the Public Works and Public Housing Agency in Jambi Province include five indicators: Ability, Strength, Intelligence, Opportunity, and Culture. The most important aspect is the company's ability to find funding for this project, because the Jambi Provincial Government is not involved in funding, so all costs are borne by the private sector. This creates obstacles in the implementation of the construction of special coal roads
Evaluation of the Effect of Capacitor Banks on Energy Efficiency in The 20 kV Distribution System at PT. Unilever Oleochemical Indonesia (UOI)
Enhancing energy efficiency in industrial electrical distribution networks is a strategic imperative amid rising power consumption. This study simulates the impact of capacitor bank installation on power factor improvement and power loss reduction within a 20 kV medium-voltage distribution system that reflects the load profile of chemical industries, particularly at PT. Unilever Oleochemical Indonesia (UOI). A numerical simulation method is applied using reactive power calculations across load variations (800–1200 kW), implemented via scientific programming techniques. Results indicate a consistent improvement in power factor from 0.78 to 0.95, alongside a system loss reduction exceeding 700,000 relative units. Validation is conducted through comparative analysis with high-impact literature and national standards. This research offers a substantial contribution as a decision-making foundation for energy efficiency strategies in industrial sectors, promoting the adoption of reactive power compensation technologies
Pancasila In Islamic Perspective
Pancasila, US Indonesia's foundational philosophy, has a close relationship with Islamic teachings. This connection is evident in the alignment of Pancasila's principles with universal values of Islam. This study explores the relationship between Pancasila and Islam, the harmony of Islamic universal values with Pancasila, scholars' perspectives on Pancasila, and the challenges in applying Pancasila in the Islamic context in Indonesia. Findings suggest that Pancasila can be accepted as an inclusive state foundation, provided its implementation respect religious values and diversity. Therefore, Pancasila is note only compatible with Islam but also services US a unifying platform for English society
Metaphysical Views on Factors Disturbing Harmony Between Religious Peoples
Inter-religious harmony is a crucial aspect in maintaining social stability and community harmony in Indonesia. This study discusses the factors that disrupt inter-religious harmony through a metaphysical perspective, specifically by referring to the concept of metaphysics of togetherness from philosopher Gabriel Marcel. The research method used is a literature study that focuses on analysing theories and concepts in various related literatures. The results show that the concept of human relations, namely the ‘I-You’ and ‘I-Ia’ relations, has a significant influence in shaping patterns of social interaction that can support or hinder harmony. Tolerance and the principle of religious freedom are the main factors in realising harmony, supported by philosophical foundations and religious teachings. In addition, factors that disrupt religious harmony include discrimination, differences in interpretation of religious teachings, and political interests that utilise religious issues for certain interests. To overcome these disturbances, an awareness of the importance of the principles of justice, respect for diversity, and an understanding that human life is basically ‘existing together’ with others is needed. This study confirms that building inter-religious harmony requires not only social and legal approaches, but also philosophical awareness of the essence of human existence as interconnected beings
Communication of Da'wah in the Creative Muslim Community: A Study on the Hijrah Yuk Ngaji Community
This study aims to analyze the forms and strategies of da'wah communication implemented within a creative Muslim community, focusing on the Hijrah Yuk Ngaji Community. This community is known as a platform for young people who promote the spirit of da'wah through contemporary approaches and digital media. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques including in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document studies. The results of the study show that the Yuk Ngaji Community has successfully implemented effective and adaptive da'wah communication strategies tailored to the characteristics of the younger generation by utilizing various da'wah models such as bil-lisan (verbal preaching), bil-qalam (written preaching), and bil-hal (preaching through actions). This community does not solely rely on lectures or Islamic studies but actively uses social media and digital platforms as the main tools for delivering communicative, relevant, and inspiring da'wah messages. Member involvement in the da'wah process and a structured cadre system further strengthen Yuk Ngaji’s role as a platform for spiritual, intellectual, and social development, thereby enabling the creation of a young Muslim generation that not only comprehensively understands Islamic teachings but also applies them in daily life and contributes positively to their surroundings

Legal Protection for Foreign Investors in Mining Activities According to Regulations Legislation in Indonesia
The mining sector is a key pillar of the Indonesian economy, contributing significantly to state revenue and employment. Indonesia's abundant natural resource potential makes it a strategic destination for foreign investors in the mining sector. However, the investment climate in this sector still faces various challenges, such as regulatory uncertainty, expropriation, and legal conflicts. This study aims to analyze the forms of legal protection provided to foreign investors in mining activities in Indonesia. The research method used is a normative juridical approach with a statutory approach. The results show that legal regulations related to foreign investment in the mining sector are based on the principles of legal certainty and fair treatment, strict but transparent licensing, guarantees of ownership and return of capital, and social and environmental obligations. These regulations include provisions related to the legality of business entities, general licensing, and share ownership. Forms of legal protection for foreign investors in the mining sector include protection against nationalization, legal certainty through business permits, fair and equal treatment, and access to national and international dispute resolution mechanisms. All of these instruments aim to build a stable and attractive investment climate for foreign capital
