    This study using the object research is breeder chicken egg layer Surajiman, Tanjung Bintang. The effort farms chicken egg layer Surajiman, Tanjung Bintang. Was founded by Mr. Surajiman in 2016 in the Village Serdang IIIA, Tanjung Bintang. This is built on a farm land with a land area of 200 m2, with the number of cattle chicken as much as 600 tail. In this study data taken still 600 tail. In doing this business Mr. Surajiman still managed myself because the number of chicken in pet still relative a little. If a farm knowing stages where at first chicken only number 600 tail. On the life-cycle of certain before the production of the egg declined, then it can be added to the become more, in addition should also divide the chicken in some period of the age of chicken in order to maintain the cycle of the age of chicken so can improve the quality of the egg results his production. With knowing the cycle of chicken, it will make a farm become more advanced in the production of peck at her eggs and increased profits that in the future.     ANALISIS KADAR KLORIN (Cl2) SEBAGAI PEMUTIH PADA RUMPUT LAUT (Eucheuma cottonii ) YANG BEREDAR di LAMPUNG

    Seaweed (Eucheuma cottonii) is one of sea product which have promising economic value, because it can be used for carragenan manufactures. In industrial and commerce, carragenan can be used as ingredients for biotechnology, food, pharmacy and cosmetic industry. The purpose of this research is to determine chlorine contain in seaweed at the first and second submersions. There are nine samples of seaweed which are examined at UPTD Hall of Lampung Health Laboratory and Fharmacy Laboratory of UTB Lampung with using titration method. The results of chlorine content on nine seaweed samples at the first immersion in A sample of 0.027%, in sample B of 0.019%, in sample C of 0.034%, in sample D of 0.008%, F samples of 0.079%, samples H by 0.027%. In sample E, sample G and sample I when analyzed there is no chlorine content. The content of chlorine on the second immersion is in sample A of 0.019%, in sample B of 0.015%, in sample C of 0.03%, in sample D of 0.008%, and F sample 0.057%.     Pengaruh Pemberian Bungkil Kelapa Sawit Segar (BKS) dan Fermentasi (BKSF) Terhadap Kualitas Fisik Telur Itik

    This research was conducted to utilize fresh and fermented palm kernel cake in the ducks diets on egg physical quality. One hundred and five laying ducks were randomly devided in to five diets treatments in three replications with seven laying ducks each the dietary treatments were K = control, was diet without palm kernel cake, BKS 10 and BKS 30 diets with addition 10 % and 30 % fresh palm kernel cake, BKSF 10 and BKSF 30 diets with addition 10 % and 30 % fermented palm kernel cake. The data collected were egg mass, shell thickness, Haugh Unit and yolk colour and will be analyzed by a one way classification of variance analysis (CRD), followed by testing the significant mean by Duncan’s New Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The results showed the egg mass, shell thickness, and HU had not significant different and egg mass were (64,74, 65,71, 67,22, 65,39, 63,52 g), shell thickness were (0,47, 0,49, 0,44, 0,48, 0,45 mm), Haught Unit were (86,81, 87,44, 90,94, 88,15, 88,08 %). Yolk colour had significant different between the treatment (9.31, 9,72, 9,81, 10,69, 10,74). It be concluded that the utilization 30% of fresh and fermented palm kernel cake in feed duck had not increase egg mass, shell tickness, and haugh unit, except on yolk colour.     ANALISIS KUALITAS PRODUK MENGGUNAKAN METODE STATISTIC PROCESS CONTROL (SPC) MINITAB DAN TIME-CHARTING DI PT. COCA-COLA BOTTLING INDONESIA UNIT LAMPUNG

    PT. COCA-COLA BOTTLING INDONESIA is a company engaged in the field of Agro-industry is bottling soft drinks and not sparkling. The products produced are Coca-Cola, Sprite, Fanta, and Tea. To be able to compete with similar industries then the company implements quality control by Statistical Process Control method. In the development of this SPC many methods there are manual or who use the software. Currently PT. Coca-Cola Bottling Indonesia in quality control using Time Charting method, but since the transition from Minitab to Time Charting the tendency of the value of capability below standard, whereas production data is almost the same as using Minitab. The purpose of this research is to analyze the inequality of Statistical Process Control between Minitab 13 and Time Charting. Time Charting method is a new method that is given by the headquarters for the process of quality control can be fast and accurate. Quality control with the Statistical Process Control of Minitab and Time Charting methods after the results of the research results was found to be part of different LSL and USL charging, and Calculate Statistic Using different from Minitab method should still be 6 but in written procedure 3. For writing LSL And USL if the Time Charting is determined by the head office while Minitab analysts fill in based on experiments on the decrease of gas volume marketed in previous years. From the research results obtained Cpk data for Minitab method 13 is Sprite 390 ml 1.47, Sprite 1000 ml 1.90 and Sprite 1500 ml 1.38. The result of the research was using Minitab method and the Charting Time of Capacity that is above 1.33 average. The causes of the resulting inequality of both methods are the LSL, USL and Calculate Statistic Using values. The smaller the value of Calculate Statistic Using the higher Cpk produced.     Preparation stimulating hair growth (hair tonic) is cosmetic preparations used for volumizing hair growth or stimulate hair growth on balding or hair loss. This research aims to formulate hair tonic preparation of extract Nothopanax scutellarium and determine the effect of dosage formulation hair tonic N. scutellarium towards the growth of male rabbit. This research makes five sample formula with active ingredients extract N. scutellarium with concentration 0% (basic hair tonic), 25%, 35%, 45% and positive control (hair tonic preparations containing minoxidil). The treatment is done every day with the volume every time the basting of one mili liter each plot every day for twenty one days. Hair Length measurements performed on days 8 th , 15 th and 22 nd using calipers and the hair weight measurements performed on day 22 by way of shaved hair grows and then weighed. Data were analyzed using ANOVA test. The data length and weight of the negative control hair, formula-A (25%), formula-B (35%), formula-C (45%) and positive control at day 22 in a row is 11.56, 16.19, 14.60, 14.10, 18.58 mm and 387.325, 390.85, 386.9, 387.275, 392.1 mg.     Aktivitas Antibakteri Ekstrak Akar Ceplukan (Physalis angulata L.) Terhadap Staphylococcus epidermidis dan Pseudomonas aeruginosa

    Root ceplukan (Physalis angulata L.) is one of the medicinal plants that contain several active compounds that are antibacterial. This study aims to prove the antibacterial activity of root ceplukan extract againsts Staphylococcus epidermidis bacteria and Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria. Root ceplukan was extracted by maceration with ethanol 70%. Root root extracts of phytochemical screening include flavonoids, alkaloids and saponins. The ceplukan root extract was then tested against S. epidermidis and P. aeruginosa bacteria using wells method with concentrations of 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, 100%, aquades as a negative control and amikacin as a positive control. Inhibitory zone diameter with each concentration for P. aeruginosa bacteria, among others, negative control = 0 mm, positive control = 21,623 mm, 100% = 16.9 mm, 80% = 15.05 mm, 60% = 13.703 mm, 40% = 12.02 mm, 20% = 12.02 mm and S. epidermidis bacteria have inhibitory zone at positive control of 21,623 mm. The results of this study showed that root extract ceplukan proved to have inhibition zone against bacteria P. aeruginosa at all concentrations but has no inhibition zone against S. epidermidis bacteria. Root ceplukan extract has a minimum inhibitory concentration of 14% and a minimum bacterisid concentration of 20%, against P. aeruginosa bacteria. The results of phytochemical analysis showed that root ceplukan positively contain flavonoids, alkaloids and saponins are suspected as antibacterial compounds.     This study aimed at evaluating the effect of feeding time system and percentage on body weight, carcass and giblets of layers males. Two hundred and eighty eight 3 weeks old male layers were rearing and randomly distributed on three groups (R1, R2, and R3). R1 were feeding 30% during the day and 70% at night, R2 were feeding 50% during the day and 50% at night, R3 were feeding 70% during the day and 30% at night. Body weight, carcass weight and giblet weight were not significanly affected (P>0.05) by all of feeding time system and percentage. Keyword : Body weight, carcass, giblet feeding Time
