Malnutrition leads the poor physical and mental development of the children which may lead to greater risk of morbidity or critical infection which ultimately greater economic loss of the society. The objective of the current study is to find the factors that may significantly affect the stunting among children. The current study investigates the said phenomenon using the latest wave of PDHS. The logistic regression model is applied to find the determinants of stunting among children. The results show that variables of child and mother characteristics have strong influence on stunting. Additionally the results indicate that children affected with diarrhea have found more likely to be stunted while the wealth effect reduces the likelihood of stunting. The study suggest that proper education facilities should be provided to females to augment awareness and knowledge for proper care of the children and timely vaccination program for the children should be started to protect the children from diseases

The Mediating Role of Job Satisfaction between Perceived Organizational Politics, Job Stress, Role Conflict, and Turnover Intention: A Covid-19 Perspective
The ability of educational institutions to survive is based on the dedication and competence of their academic staff. However, the breakout of COVID-19 has spread the entire world's school system into alarm. particularly in emerging nations such as Pakistan. This pandemic causes nonpayment of salaries, putting teachers through a stressful period that increases the likelihood of turnover. The purpose of this paper was to investigate the mediation role of job satisfaction and the influence of perceived organisational politics, job stress, and role conflict on turnover intention in the context of COVID-19 among university teachers. A cross-sectional survey has been used for data collection from 280 permanent faculty members from universities in Pakistan. The study utilized partial least squares as a tool for hypothesis testing and analysis. The findings of the study revealed that perceived organisational politics, job stress, and the role of conflict have a substantial positive effect on turnover intention. Moreover, perceived organisational politics, job stress, and the role of conflict harm job satisfaction. The results of an indirect effect, however, show that job satisfaction mediates the relationship between the role of conflict and turnover intention, and the results for mediation between perceived organisational politics, job satisfaction, and turnover intention are insignificant. These findings showed that to reduce the turnover intention of faculty members, institutions need to institutionalise policies to reduce the negative perception, stress, and role conflict of teachers and boost the level of their satisfaction
Perspectives and Experiences of the Transgender Population about their General Healthcare: A Study of Multan Division
Access to health care is a fundamental human right, but it is different for men, women, and transgender people. A shortage of access to healthcare services has been documented among transgender people. South Punjab has limited information and research on the transgender population's interaction with healthcare services. The transgender population has the exact health needs as the other general population. However, the current study focus on identifying the perspectives and experiences of the transgender community regarding access and use of healthcare services. A quantitative research design was conducted in the transgender community of the Multan Division. The study included 277 participants from all the districts of the Multan division. Non-probability, convenient sampling technique was used to approach maximum participants. An interview schedule was employed to obtain data. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 23. There is a scarcity of resources to provide proper healthcare treatments to the transgender population, resulting in negative experiences. The transgender population is socially alienated by society and enduring significant discrimination due to their low socioeconomic standing. The health beliefs of the transgender of particular division were strong regarding their healthcare. They also receive less assistance from their families, leading to low poverty and unfavorable health outcomes
Interest Spread and the Banking Sector Profitability- An Empirical Investigation for Pakistan
The paper is an empirical exploration around the commercial banks’ interest spread and the profitability performance for Pakistani banking industry. Earlier studies have evidently proven the sensitivity of commercial banks financial performance towards the gap between their deposit rate and the lending rate. The present study therefore aims at validating (invalidating) the subject relationship using advance time-series econometric procedures. The study attempts to yield a robust statistical analysis since three different measures of banks’ profitability are employed for the purpose of econometric testing i.e. return on assets, return on equity and earnings per share. The study sample comprises seven major participants from commercial banking sector of Pakistan and the sample study period rangers from year 2002 to 2018. From the series of robust regression models, Newey-West Hetroskedasticity and Autocorrelation Consistent (HAC) estimator is used to test the hypothesized relationship. Valid statistical support is yielded in case of all three measures of profitability; however, return on assets as indicator of profitability receives highest amount of statistical support. The results hold strong policy implications for commercial banking sector of the country, calling for wise management decisions whilst deciding the deposit and the lending and rates since they are key to determining the interest spread observed by a bank which in return determines its profitability margins.

Acoustic Investigation of Back Vowels of Pakistani English
The present research investigates the acoustic features of back vowels of Pakistani English (PakE). The vowels are acoustically analysed to see whether PakE is different from Standard British English (SBE), and whether PakE merges the back vowels like some Asian varieties of English. The study also investigates the total number of back vowels of PakE. The subjects (20 male and 20 female) are selected from among the undergraduate students enrolled in BS English (University of Sargodha) with Punjabi as their mother tongue. Monosyllabic words with /hVd/ context, containing the selected vowels are recorded using a carrier-phrase. For acoustic measurement of the formants (F1-F2) and durational properties, PRAAT has been used. The formant values (F1- F2) are compared with those of SBE to find out similarities and differences. For statistical analysis, ANOVA along with Tukey’s HSD test is performed to see whether the results are significant. The results show that PakE has four back vowels, i.e. two long and two short. It does merge /?/ and /?:/ like other varieties of Asian Englishes, but it does not merge the high back vowels, i.e. /u/ and/u:/. So, it can be concluded that PakE is a different variety of English on the basis of the idiosyncratic features of back vowels
