The discussion chapter holds a paramount position in a thesis, being regarded as the most crucial and challenging part to compose, particularly for university students. The present genre investigation highlighted the focus on language use and communicative practices. This research seeks to investigate the rhetorical organization, moves, and steps, employed by Indonesian postgraduates while writing the discussion chapter of their theses within the field of Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL). We examined five theses from postgraduate students whose data were obtained from the university repository. Data were analyzed with the framework proposed by Chen and Kuo (2012). The overall word count is 9204 words. From the analysis conducted, it was found that Move 2 Step 1: Reporting major findings (41.4%), Move 4 Step 2: comparing the results with literature (21.9%), and Move 4 Step 3: accounting for results (20.7%) were highly used in the data. However, two steps were least used in the data; namely, Move 3 Step 1: making conclusions of results and Move 6 Step 2: indicating the significance of the study. Our findings provide insights into how postgraduates structure their arguments, present findings, and interact with existing literature

Transportation as an activity of moving something from one place to another. The existence of various community activities causes the emergence of traffic movements. The more activities that take place, the more traffic generated. So that adequate infrastructure is needed to create a smooth movement. As the number of vehicles increases, the strength of the pavement decreases which results in road damage. Pavement in good condition in Samarinda City in 2020 decreased by around 6.3%, while roads in severely damaged conditions increased by almost 100% from 2015. Damage to pavement reduces the capacity of the previously planned roads. This affects the level of service on these roads, so it is necessary to compare the analysis of service levels with and without any damage. The research was conducted by surveying Ir. Sutami road, City of Samarinda with a length of 150 m. Primary data include the number of vehicles, road geometric data and documentation of road damage. The analytical method uses MKJI 1997. The volume of vehicles passing through Ir. Sutami as much as 1228.4 smp/hour on holidays and 3510.35 smp/hour on weekdays which are dominated by motorbikes. Road capacity Ir. Sutami in a condition without any damage, namely 6079.92 smp/hour which produces a V/C ratio of 0.58 with a service level of A, while currently the Ir. Sutami road with some damage such as holes and peeling so that the capacity decreased to 5251.067 smp/hour with a V/C ratio of 0.67. &nbsp

This article discusses the minimum wage setting standard based on the amount of gold zakat nishab compared to the determination of the minimum wage in Bandung City from 2016 to 2020. The emergence of protests and labor demonstrations at the time the minimum wage was set, indicates that the minimum wage has not provided a sense of justice. for the workers. This research was conducted to find a better alternative formulation for determining the minimum wage each year. The method used is a literature study and a comparative study between the minimum wage set by the government and the calculation of the proposed minimum wage. As a research sample, using data of Bandung City minimum wage from 2016 to 2020. Meanwhile, the gold price data used is Antam's spot gold price at the close of October from 2015 to 2019. The proposed minimum wage is the gold price per gram the year before, multiplied by the gold zakat nishab (85 grams), and the result is divided by 12 months. The calculation result shows that the proposed minimum wage compares to the minimum wage set annually is 47% higher on average.
