Related Data for: The relative impacts of tropical Pacific teleconnections and local insolation on mid-Holocene precipitation over tropical South America

    No full text
This dataset consists of simulation output generated using an atmospheric general circulation model, the ECHAM4.6. It includes monthly precipitation and annual precipitation δ¹⁸O fields from four ECHAM4.6 simulations. These experiments were designed to isolate the relative effects of tropical Pacific teleconnections and local mid-Holocene insolation forcing on tropical South American hydroclimate and serves as a supplement to Wong and Wang (2025). The dataset provides the raw model output for precipitation and precipitation δ¹⁸O, delivered in NetCDF format. Four experiments are included (please see the associated publication for a full methodological description of each experiment): - Control: forced with observed monthly SSTs from 1979–2019 - NoENSO: climatological SSTs imposed over the tropical Pacific - LNstate: mid-Holocene La Niña–like mean-state SST pattern applied in the tropical Pacific - MHinsol: mid-Holocene orbital insolation and greenhouse gas concentrations applied. The simulations were conducted in 2021–2022 using the isotope-enabled ECHAM model version 4.6. The model was run as an atmospheric general circulation model with prescribed sea-surface temperatures. It employs a hybrid sigma–pressure vertical coordinate system and was configured at T42 horizontal resolution (~2.8° × 2.8°) with 19 vertical atmospheric levels. The dataset contains the processed model output, where one spin-up year has been removed, and the final 40 years of each experiment are included. Monthly precipitation fields were extracted directly from the model output, while annual precipitation δ¹⁸O values were derived from the model’s isotope module. </p

Replication Data for: Black Swan: Abductive and Defeasible Video Reasoning in Unpredictable Events

    No full text
BlackSwanSuite is a benchmark for evaluating VLMs’ ability to reason about unexpected events through abductive and defeasible tasks. The tasks either artificially limit the amount of visual information provided to models while questioning them about hidden unexpected events, or provide new visual information that can change an existing hypothesis about the event. It contains over 3,800 MCQs, 4,900 generative, and 6,700 yes/no questions spanning 1,655 videos

Replication Data for: What Are We Measuring When We Evaluate Large Vision-Language Models? An Analysis of Latent Factors and Biases

    No full text
The OLIVE dataset is a highly diverse, human-corrected multi-modal collection designed to simulate the variety and idiosyncrasies of user queries vision-language models (VLMs) face in real-world scenarios. It supports the training and evaluation of VLMs in conditions that more closely resemble their ultimate use cases. The dataset contains 9,450 images, 30,120 unique instructions, and 47,250 responses. Each image corresponds with five instruction-response pairs. The instruction-response pairs can be broadly categorised into four groups: visual recognition, creative writing, knowledge-based, and elaborated description

This dataset consists of 10 data files: Dataset1.csv, Dataset2.csv, Dataset3.csv, Dataset4.csv, Dataset5_WVS(Singapore).csv, Dataset6_WVS(South_Africa).csv, Dataset7_Tobin_Guadagno_2022.csv, Dataset8_Dufault_2023.csv, Dataset9_ISSP(New_Zealand).csv, and Dataset_ISSP(Germany).csv. Each data file contains participants' responses to the items in the 10-item Big Five personality inventory (BFI-10; Rammstedt & John, 2007) or the 44-item version (BFI-44; John et al., 1991). They were used to investigate a problematic item in the BFI. The results were reported in the manuscript "Overlooked for three decades: A systematic examination of a problematic item in the 10-item big five inventory" published as a PsyArXiv preprint on https://osf.io/preprints/psyarxiv/mvnhy_v1. Datasets 1 to 4 were collected by our research team at NTU. Datasets 5 and 6 are part of the WVS Wave 6 data (Inglehart et al., 2014), and were downloaded from https://www.worldvaluessurvey.org/WVSDocumentationWV6.jsp. Dataset 7 was downloaded from https://osf.io/dwcaz/ (Tobin & Guadagno, 2022). Dataset 8 was downloaded from https://osf.io/cukrx/ (Dufault et al., 2023), DOI 10.17605/OSF.IO/CUKRX Dataset 9 and the International Social Survey Programme (ISSP) Germany dataset were downloaded from https://search.gesis.org/research_data/ZA4350. https://doi.org/10.4232/1.11648 All datasets have gone through data cleaning. </p
