Höstterminen 2014 Today’s students show great divergences in incentives for commencing studies at an Upper Secondary Dance Educational School in Sweden. The level of the individual`s motivation both during the prelusive and pending stages of the education, shows great variance. The aim of the study is to find a correlation between the individual’s motivation level and the individual´s conceiving of enhancement or deprivation of inner needs. To which extent is the comprehension and consideration towards these needs, a direct agency in effecting the desire for self- engaged and lifelong learning? In which manner can a deeper and wider understanding of the needs for self- actualization, ensure a more sturdy and coherent motivation towards the experience of learning? Through motivation psychology as an angel of approach, the study incorporates the three methods; observation, projective testing and literary studies. Conscious and unconscious personality traits and states are chartered. The conjunction with various sources of stimuli subsequently indicates the deriving of behavior. The study indicates the need of educational practitioner’s insight and understanding towards the individual pupil’s apperception of the social world. Also the study indicates the importance of implementing this knowledge, in ensuring cohesiveness and sustainability of motivation for self- engaged lifelong learning

The Impact of Participatory Experience on the Audience

Conclusions We saw in the introduction how this research started from our own concerns regarding transmedia as it is created and measured today. Did this  research answer these concerns? It probably didn’t completely, but it certainly clarified   the field. The first part of the research shows how there are ways to analyse the impact   of participatory experience on the audience. There is definitely a need for more qualitative and quantitative research focused on getting into the heads of the audience in order to understand and analyse where, how and when the impact of participatory research happens. Another finding of the first part is that there are strong reasons to believe that the impact of participatory experience is stronger than the impact of non-participatory experience. For instance, intrapersonal findings must be collected by creators for future development work. The second part of the research seems to be showing how there still is a long way to go before a model will become a standard in the industry. There is a risk of this standard model not to be adapted to all formats, and in particular to be only applicable to larger, more mainstream, formats. For this reason, there is a need for professionals and scholars to get involved in the field and to take part in the development of this future model. As a general conclusion for this research, it appears quite clearly that the audience isn’t taken enough into account amongst transmedia and participatory media professionals and scholars. The need for a stronger involvement isn’t only for commercial purposes but also for artistic and creative  purposes. This research is only a first step in the direction of putting the audience at the heart of creation. Other steps will be necessary. In particular, there is a real need for a thorough analysis of one empirical case from an audience point of view. The upcoming Treasures, by the Company P, could be an interesting candidate for such a study. There is also a need for prototyping so that the model presented in this paper can be tested and improved. And last but not least, there needs to  be a strong effort put into asking the question of the audience in every possible situation  where  transmedia  professionals  and/or  scholars  meet:  in  pitching events,  training  workshops, academic conferences  and festivals.Utvecklingsarbet

    Embodied timing-passing time

In this article1 I am discussing how traditions are reenacted by dance revival and reconstruction. My starting point is the experience I have of restaging choreographic works by the Swedish choreographer Per Jonsson (1956-1998), of whose artistic production I am in charge. Through examples from working with repertoire, I will develop my thoughts around how new interpretations of a movement material reformulate the tradition and inform the present. I will also discuss how dancers of today are researching and developing new methods for processing a movement material. This in turn leads to new ways of dealing with quality, dynamics and timing in reconstruction of a written material

The articles in this volume have grown out of a research project entitled "FromMovement out of Reflection in Becoming: The Dancer and the Creative Process",gathering both professional dancers and theoreticians, and funded by theSwedish Research Council. The overall goal of the project was to approach anunderstanding and a conceptualization of the artistic process of the dancer, takingthe work in the creation ofina Christe!Johannessen's choreographic pieceNOW SHE KNOWS as a point of departure. The focus was both that of the dancer from within the process, and that ofexterna! observers. These viewpoints were not deadlocked hut rather aimed atan interaction and a dialogue between the theoretical and the practical levels. The research methods grew out of an at times quite intimate teamwork wherethe participants' different approaches came to cross and intersect.A number of issues were explored: How does the dancer work in the processwhere the dance takes shape? How does the understanding of a movementmaterial shift through the actual performing of it? What is it to understandor experience a movement from the perspective of the performer? What is itto understand or experience a movement from the perspective of the spectator? What kind of body is the dan ing body and how can it create a variety ofmeanings? Through what concepts are we to think the dancer's practice andcorporeality? The anthology contains essays by Cecilia Roos, Anna Petronella Foultier,Chrysa Parkinson, Katarina Elam, Cecilia Sjöholm, and Irene Hultman

    No full text

Men vissa saker förändras ju aldrig.
