No full textتمثل نظرية العوالم الممكنة تحولا في دراسات التخييل، خاصة ما يتعلق بالسرد؛ فهي تحاول الكشف عن تلك المناطق الفاصلة بين عالم الواقع الخارجي، والصدق النصي، والخيال. والعوالم الممكنة في أصلها نظرية فلسفية، ولهذا تندر تطبيقاتها حتى في النقد الفرنسي الذي نشأت فيه، وتعتبر أعمال أمبرتو ايكو أحد أهم التطبيقات في مجال السرد، وتمثل الرواية التاريخية بما لها من مرجعية وثائقية إحدى أهم السرديات التي تتشابك فيها عناصر الواقع مع المتخيل لتشكل عوالم متعددة الأبعاد، ولذا ستتم معالجة رواية عبد العزيز آل محمود القرصان من خلال منظور العوالم الممكنة؛ للكشف عن هذه الأبعاد وما تمثله في الرواية التاريخية في قطرThe theory of possible worlds represents a transition in fiction studies, especially in narration field; it attempts to reveal those areas between the external reality world, textual truth, and imagination. The theory of possible worlds is philosophical in origin, and therefore its literary applications are rare even in the Anglo-Saxon or francophone criticism that produced it. However, the works of Umberto Eco were one of the most prominent applications in this context. The historical novel, with its documentary reference, represents one of the most important narratives that combine reality elements with imagination to form multidimensional worlds. By studying «The Corsair», a historical novel by Abdul Aziz Al Mahmoud, we are trying to reveal these dimensions through the perspective of possible worlds, passing – at the same time – over the representations of historical narrative in Qatar
