Effect of carbon content on burring of (0.1-0.4)C-1.5Si-1.5Mn (mass%) ultra high strength TRIP-aided sheet steels with polygonal ferrite matrix (TDP steels) was investigated for automotive applications. The combined rotational and downward force of the thermal drilling tool bit created friction heat. The height of the bushing was roughly 3 to 4 times the initial sheet thickness. The bushings are ideal for thread applications, as the strength of threads was significantly increased. We found that the hardness increment and Vickers hardness of the bushings has been increased with the increase of carbon content.departmental bulletin pape

AA1259397XThis paper discusses transportation network reliability in time of disaster and the evaluation of emergency care service framework. Analyzing the present condition of an emergency business, in this study we examine the optimal location of fire stations and first-aid station. We propose an accessibility indicator of the travel time reliability to the urgent medical institution of an ambulance. In this paper, the above method is applied to Nagano urban area. In the experimental study, we verified location of fire stations and first-aid station affects a limit time to life-saving. We confirmed accessibility indicator practicality.departmental bulletin pape

The purpose of this study is to clarify improvements in consideration of road traffic condition of pedestrian space. We executed the investigation concerning the satisfaction rating of the street space by the pedestrian in a transit-mall social experiment of Nagano City. The experiments on the transit-mall was carried out by the Center of Nagano City during consecutive holidays of May, 2007,2008 and 2009. At first, the behavioral trait of pedestrians is extracted by gathering the pedestrian occupation data, which show exact point where pedestrians walked through. . Next, we applied the factor analysis to the satisfaction rating data. Thirdly, the correlation of the satisfaction rating data and the measurement data was clarified. We applied the covariance structure analysis, and were able to clarify the relation between the subconsciousness factor and the measurement of road traffic condition.departmental bulletin pape

Recently robot technology has been developed and robots, for example cleaning robot and biped robot, have been closer for us. On the other hand, arm robot, which is representative for industrial use, can be little watched or experienced to us. So we investigated a demo which everyone can experience and study safely to deepen interests for robots and increase a chance they can really touch it. In this research, we developed a jig for pen drawn by robot. This mechanism corresponds to the shape of multiple pens and is attached a spring to adjust the strength of a brushstroke to some extent. We produced a robot drawing "katakana" to a space using this jig. We also produced drawing system without robot teaching. So everyone can experience a working of robot easily.departmental bulletin pape
