Culture-led regeneration as a vital instrument for preserving the cultural heritage of historical parks in Poland
Get PDFHistorical parks and palace and park complexes deserve special protection for their potential and as the embodiment of national heritage. Most of them are impressive estates that bear witness to their times and reflect the dreams and aspirations of their owners. However, because of the entangled history of post-socialist countries including Poland much of the cultural heritage they represent has been irreversibly destroyed.
The aim of the study was to assess the concept of culture-led regeneration as applied to palace and park complexes situated in rural areas at risk of marginalisation in a post-socialist country, Poland, using the case of Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship. Its findings show that culture-led regeneration is a valuable instrument for protecting historical palace and park estates, which saves the areas from further devastation and boosts local development

No full textW 1982 r. zostały wydane po raz pierwszy „Zapiski więzienne” prymasa Stefana Wyszyńskiego. To wyjątkowe i bezcenne echo trzyletniego okresu uwięzienia Prymasa Tysiąclecia. Składają się na nie teksty o różnym charakterze: kronika życia codziennego, listy, memoriały do władz oraz zapiski o charakterze duchowym . Warto dodać, że te ostatnie nosiły swój własny tytuł nadany im przez samego prymasa, mianowicie: „Kalendarzyk łaski” .
Wartość poznawcza zapisków prymasa z okresu jego uwięzienia jest trudna do przecenienia. W niniejszym artykule chcemy się przede wszystkim skupić na tym, co one mówią o jego życiu wewnętrznym, o jego duchowych przeżyciach . Odwołamy się bezpośrednio do wybranych fragmentów, które Prymas Tysiąclecia zapisał w klasztorze w Rywałdzie, czyli w pierwszym miejscu jego uwięzienia. Ponieważ mówią nam one wiele o życiu wewnętrznym prymasa, dlatego nie mam wątpliwości, że są ważną odsłoną jego duchowości oraz uchylają pewnego rąbka tajemnicy drogi do świętości. Nie mamy bowiem wątpliwości, że przeżyty czas uwięzienia odcisnął swój ślad na całym dalszym życiu prymasa Stefana Wyszyńskiego, czyli na jego kroczeniu ku świętości od końca października 1956 r. do śmierci, która miała miejsce 28 maja 1981 r.
Na co zwrócił uwagę prymas w swoich duchowych notatkach? Co było przedmiotem jego rozważań, impulsów, strapień i pocieszeń duchowych? Do jakich wspomnień odwoływał się podczas tych kilkunastu dni przeżytych w samotności, wypełnionych wewnętrznymi zmaganiami? Może na część z tych pytań uda nam się odpowiedzieć

Renewable Energy in the Pomerania Voivodeship - Institutional, Economic, Environmental and Physical Aspects in Light of EU Energy Transformation
Get PDFIn the era of globalization and rapid economic growth, affecting most world economies, increased production and consumption are leading to higher levels of energy production and consumption. The growing demand for energy means that energy resources from conventional sources are not sufficient; moreover, its production generates high costs and contributes to the emission of greenhouse gases and waste. In view of the above, many countries have opted to implement an energy transformation. The energy transition allows the transition from an energy system based on conventional fuels to an energy system based mainly on renewable energy (RE) and low-emission sources. In the EU, the development of a “green economy” has become a strategic goal in the fight against climate change. The development of RE offers the possibility to improve the energy security of a given country and the entire EU. New, innovative technologies of RE also increase the attractiveness and competitiveness of the economies of the Member States. In line with the EU strategy, the activities carried out aim to achieve a situation in which, in 2050, the activities of economies will not endanger the environment. The main purpose of this article was the assessment of the RE sector in the Pomerania region in the context of energy transformation. To achieve this goal, PEST analysis regarding the functioning of the RE sector in the selected Polish region was used and the potential of the RE sector was determined using GIS tools on the basis of physical conditions. The article presents the research hypothesis that the RE sector within the Pomerania Voivodeship possesses appropriate energy potential, which will allow this Voivodeship to become an energy self-sufficient region based on the use of these energy sources (according to EU strategy). The implementation of the goal set in the article allowed for the verification of the research hypothesis, where the determined energy potential from the RE sector would cover the Voivodeship’s needs due to the use of electricity and heat. The conducted research shows that the RE sector in these regions has high energy potential to meet the criteria outlined in EU legal documents and to implement them successfully within the intended period

Real Estate Manager Models – Polish Legal Solutions
Get PDFPurpose – The purpose of this article is to present the development of the
profession of real estate manager in the Polish legal system and the path to the
current model.
Design/methodology/approach – The research focuses on the analysis of Polish
legal solutions from before 2013 and after that date. Legislative solutions of other
countries were also mentioned for comparison.
Findings – Descriptive studies are based on the texts of legal acts and the analysis
of the literature. The conducted research includes an assessment of the effects of
the reform of legal regulation carried out in 2013, pursuant to which the profession
of a manager was deregulated.
On this basis, preliminary normative conclusions were formulated as to the
achieved results of the change in the law. The article is a review, its aim is to analyze the legal conditions of the activity consisting in real estate management in Poland.
Research limitations and implications – the analysis is limited to the regulations of
Polish law, European solutions are indicated, for example, only as a background for
consideration

Get PDFŻycie katolików grudziądzkich w XVI wieku przeżywało dynamiczne zmiany. Od pokoleń koncentrowało się ono przede wszystkim w świątyni parafialnej, czyli w kościele św. Mikołaja. Geneza parafii sięga średniowiecza, być może nawet czasów biskupa Chrystiana, a więc początków XIII wieku . Niestety nie znamy wielu źródeł, które mogą nam pomóc w odtworzeniu jej najstarszych dziejów. To dopiero okres nowożytny przynosi nam nowe i ważne informacje o parafii.
W XVI wieku spotykamy nową jakość wyznaniową w Grudziądzu. Od lat dwudziestych tegoż wieku dynamicznie rosła liczba wyznawców teologii Marcina Lutra. Pojawienie się nowego wyznania chrześcijańskiego w mieście, w ciągu kilkudziesięciu lat, zmieniło diametralnie panoramę religijną Grudziądza
