    Urbanistički obuhvat se nalazi na zapadnom dijelu Osijeku, pri ulasku u grad. Obuhvat je podijeljen na javnu i poslovnu namjenu koje se isprepleću dok je u sredini između njih šetnica koja vrluda oko i preko prošupljena ispod kojeg se nalazi kolni promet i tako pješak nije ugrožen. Na zapadnom dijelu se nalazi toranj koji je uočljiv vertikalni reper pri ulasku u grad zbog svoje diagrid konstrukcije na pročelju koja onda omogućava da je zgrada sasvim nešto drugo iznutra zbog „kidanja“ ploče i stvaranjem više etažnih prostora i tako omogućava zgradi da „diše“ i dobiva se vizualna povezanost između katova.The urban scope is located in the western part of Osijek, at the entrance to the city. The scope is divided into public and business purposes, which are intertwined, while in the middle between them there is a promenade that winds around and is hollowed out, under which there is vehicular traffic, so the pedestrian is not endangered. On the western part, there is a tower that is a noticeable vertical benchmark when entering the city due to its diagrid construction on the facade, which then allows the building to be something completely different from the inside due to the "tearing" of the panel and the creation of multiple floor spaces, thus allowing the building to "breathe" and a visual connection between the floors is obtained

    U radu su opisane radnje i postupci ispitivanja sukladnosti i izdavanja dokumentacija o sukladnosti u skladu s normama i pravilnicima. U prvom dijelu rada opisan je pojam kvalitete, kontrola kvalitete, norme, normizacija, ustroj upravljanja kvalitetom, raspodjela odgovornosti i obveza tijela i osoba koje sudjeluju u ocjenjivanju sukladnosti. Kontrola kvalitete, upravljanje kvalitetom i sustav upravljanja kvalitetom ključni su procesi koji omogućuju proizvodima i uslugama da ispune očekivanja i potrebe korisnika. U završnom dijelu rada objašnjeni su postupci koje provodi izvođač za ispitivanje kvalitete proizvedene vruće asfaltne mješavine u asfaltnoj bazi poduzeća Osijek-Koteks d.d. Osijek. Opisani su postupci uzorkovanja asfalta, pripreme uzoraka, određivanja granulometrijskog sastava, određivanja gustoće asfaltne mješavine i određivanje gustoće asfaltnih uzoraka. Laboratorijsko ispitivanje asfaltne mješavine provodi se prema međunarodnim normama, osiguravajući potrebne standarde za konačni proizvod.The paper describes actions and procedures for testing compliance and issuing compliance documentation in accordance with standards and regulation. The first part of the paper describes the concept of quality, quality control, standards, standardization, quality management structure, distribution of responsibilities and obligation of bodies and persons participating in conformity assessment. Quality control, quality management and the quality management system are key processes that enable products and services to meet customer expectations and needs. The final part of the paper explains the procedures carried out by the contractor for testing the quality of the hot-mix asphalt produced in the asphalt base Osijek-Koteks d.d. Osijek. The procedures for sampling asphalt, preparing samples, determining the granulometric composition, determining the density of the asphalt mixture, and determining the density of asphalt samples are described. Laboratory testing of the asphalt mixture is carried out according to international standards, ensuring the necessary standards for the final product

    Design of a steel frame structure

    Svrha ovog završnog rada je dimenzioniranje i proračun središnjeg glavnog čeličnog okvira industrijske hale koja se nalazi u Osijeku. Industrijska hala je dimenzija 16 metara u širinu te 35 metara u dužinu s visinom stupa 6 metara i ukupnom visinom od 6,84 metra u sljemenu hale. U radu su analizirana opterećenja koja djeluju na industrijsku halu te su napravljene međusobne kombinacije tih opterećenja kako bi se utvrdilo koja je mjerodavna kombinacija za određivanje dimenzija elemenata hale te ojačanja (vute) priključka stup-greda. Grede će biti izvedene od toplovaljanih čeličnih IPE profila, dok će stupovi biti izvedeni od toplovaljanih HEA profila, koji će u priključcima biti povezani s bočnim pločama i vijcima. Svi elementi glavnog čeličnog okvira bit će izvedeni u čeliku razreda S275. Ojačanje priključka stup-greda bit će napravljeno od čeličnih ploča postupkom elektrozavarivanja, a spoj stupa i grede bit će izveden vijcima. Statička analiza i provjera proračuna provedena je u ravninskom modelu u programu Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis.The purpose of this final work is the dimensioning and calculation of the central main steel frame of the industrial hall located in Osijek. The size of the industrial hall is 16 meters in width and 35 meters in length with a column height of 6 meters and a total height of 6.84 meters in the ridge of the hall. In the paper, the loads acting on the industrial hall were analyzed and mutual combinations of these same loads were made in order to determine which is the relevant combination for determining the dimensions of the hall elements and the reinforcement (bracket) of the column-beam connection. The beams will be made of hot-rolled steel IPE profiles, while the columns will be made of hot-rolled HEA profiles, which will be interconnected with end plates and screws in the connectors. All elements of the main steel frame will be made of grade S275 steel. The reinforcement of the post-beam connection will be made of steel plates by electrowelding, and the post-beam connection will be made with screws. Static analysis and budget verification were performed in a plane model in the Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis program

    Preliminary small-scaled thermal resistance testing of a masonry wall with enhanced electromagnetic shielding effectiveness

    This study presents the preliminary results of a small-scale masonry wall thermal resistance (R-value) measurement. Two small-scale masonry walls were constructed using regular and antimony tin oxide (ATO)-containing bricks. ATO has shown potential for improving the protection against electromagnetic radiation penetration. R-values of the walls were measured using a FluxDAQ device equipped with a heat flux sensor and two temperature sensors for obtaining the heat flux and inside and outside temperatures during the measurement. Furthermore, the thermal conductivity (λ) of the bricks was measured by using the Fox200 Heat Flow Meter. Both results can be used for determining a walls’ thermal transmittance (U-value), which is often used for describing the energy losses and as a measure of a wall's energy efficiency. This research sought to investigate whether there is a correlation between the results obtained by the small-scale masonry wall and Fox200 device. Ultimately, this experiment aims to verify whether the small-scale masonry wall non-standard method described herein can provide approximately similar results to the standardised method

    Reconstructing Intersection Conflict Zones: Microsimulation-Based Analysis of Traffic Safety for Pedestrians

    According to statistics from the World Health Organization, traffic accidents are one of the leading causes of death among children and young people, and statistical indicators are even worse for the elderly population. Preventive measures require an approach that includes analyses of traffic infrastructure and regulations, users’ traffic behavior, and their interactions. In this study, a methodology based on traffic microsimulations was developed to select the optimal reconstruction solution for urban traffic infrastructure from the perspective of traffic safety. Comprehensive analyses of local traffic conditions at the selected location, infrastructural properties, and properties related to traffic users were carried out. The developed methodology was applied and tested at a selected unsignalized pedestrian crosswalk located in Osijek, Croatia, where traffic safety issues had been detected. Analyses of the possible solutions for traffic safety improvements were carried out, taking into account the specificities of the chosen location and the traffic participants’ behaviors, which were recorded and measured. The statistical analysis showed that children had shorter reaction times and crossed the street faster than the analyzed group of adult pedestrians, which was dominated by elderly people in this case. Using microsimulation traffic modeling (VISSIM), an analysis was conducted on the incoming vehicle speeds for both the existing and the reconstructed conflict zone solutions under different traffic conditions. The results exhibited a decrease in average speeds for the proposed solution, and traffic volume was detected to have a great impact on incoming speeds. The developed methodology proved to be effective in selecting a traffic solution that respects the needs of both motorized traffic and pedestrians.</jats:p

    The Relationship between Different Proofs of Load-Bearing Capacity, Fire Resistance of the Cross-Section and the Price of Solid Softwood

    The impact of ultimate limit state checks on the fire resistance of the cross-section (element) of softwood structural timber is analyzed in this study, which was found to depend on the cross-sectional area, strength class or material quality expressed through the actual price. The limit state method and the reduced cross-section method were used to obtain numerical results. The established practice suggests that, if the ultimate limit state is satisfied, the softwood structural timber will meet fire resistance according to the load-bearing criterion of 30 min (R30). This study shows that this is not entirely correct and is not always applicable. The main results of this study are precisely related to the above, and it will now be possible to provide much more precise answers to questions related to fire resistance according to the load-bearing criterion. Certainly, the price, which plays a significant role in achieving a certain or required fire resistance, should not be overlooked. This study provides the possibility of optimizing the choice of the cross-sectional area, fire resistance and price, depending on the state of stress to which the cross-section (element) is exposed

    Preliminary design of road A - B

    Na osnovu zadanog zadatka pridržavajući se tehničkih propisa za projektiranje ceste izrađen je idejni projekt ceste između točaka A (1251 m.n.m.) i B (1225 m.n.m.). Cesta kategorije 4, županijskog značaja namijenjena je mješovitom prometu te je pložena u brdovitom terenu. Na temelju podataka zadanih zadatkom određena je projektna vrijednost brzine, koja se zbog kategorije ceste uzima kao računska i iznosi Vp = 50 km/h. Pomoću računske brzine određen je minimalni polumjer horizontalnog zavoja u iznosu od Rmin = 75 m, duljina prijelaznice Lmin = 40 m te maksimalni dozvoljeni uzdužni nagib nivelete Smax = 10 %. Elementi koji čine poprečni presjek su prometni trak širine 2,75 m, rubni trak širine 0,2m, bankina od 1 m širine te berma širine 0,35 cm. Kolnička konstrukcija sastoji se od sloja asfaltbetona ( AC surf ) debljine 3 cm, bitumeniziranog nosivog sloja ( AC base) debljine 8 cm te mehaničkog zbijenog nosivog sloja od drobljenog kamena debljine 30 cm

    Main design of frame multistory building

    Ovaj rad obuhvaća statički proračun okvirne zgrade od armiranog betona. Zgrada ima pravokutni tlocrt, a za sve nosive elemente predviđen je beton klase C30/37 i armatura tipa B500B. Numerički model konstrukcije izrađen je pomoću softvera SCIA Engineer, iz kojeg su preuzete sve potrebne vrijednosti za proračun. Svi crteži (tlocrti, presjeci, pozicije, planovi armature) izrađeni su pomoću softvera Autodesk AutoCAD 2023. Cjelokupni proračun proveden je prema propisima navedenim u Eurocode standardima.This work encompasses the static calculation of a reinforced concrete frame building. The building has a rectangular floor plan, and concrete of class C30/37 and reinforcement of type B500B are designated for all load-bearing elements. The numerical model of the structure was created using software SCIA Engineer, from which all necessary calculation values were extracted. All drawings (floor plans, sections, position plans, reinforcement plans) were created using software Autodesk AutoCAD 2023. The entire calculation was conducted according to the regulations specified in the Eurocode standards

    Earthquake assessment of Rector's Palace in Dubrovnik

    Građevine kulturno povijesne baštine Starog grada Dubrovnika izgrađene od kamenog ziđa nepravilnog oblika i nepravilne tlocrtne geometrije izložene su djelovanju razornih potresa. Knežev Dvor, kao i čitava povijesna jezgra Starog grada Dubrovnika nakon oštećenja uzrokovanih razornim potresom Mw=7.1 u Crnoj Gori 1979. godine ulazi pod zaštitu UNESCO-a kao svjetska kulturna baština. Knežev Dvor je kroz povijest bio izložen mnogobrojnim dogradnjama i pregradnjama, kao i sanacijama i ojačanjima nakon različitih oblika elementarnih nepogoda kao što su požar 1435. godine, eksplozija baruta 1463. godine te potresi 1520.,1667. i 1979. godine. Podaci o građevini i građenju, podaci o materijalnim karakteristikama ugrađenih materijala, kao i podaci o vibracijskim karakteristikama građevine prikupljeni su iz povijesnih zapisa, istražnih radova te znanstvenih istraživanja i ispitivanja obavljenih od strane raznih stručnjaka. Na temelju prikupljenih podataka i prema suvremenim normama za građenje izrađeni su i kalibrirani prostorni proračunski MKE modeli za simuliranje potresnog ponašanja povijesne građevine. Na temelju rezultata proračunskih analiza ustanovljena su kritična područja građevine i doneseni konstruktivni zaključci.The buildings of the cultural and historical heritage of the Old City of Dubrovnik, built of irregular stone masonry and irregular floor plan geometry, are exposed to the effects of devastating earthquakes. After the damage caused by the devastating Mw=7.1 earthquake in Montenegro in 1979, the Rector's Palace, as well as the entire historical core of the Old Town of Dubrovnik, came under the protection of UNESCO as a world cultural heritage. Throughout history, the Rector's Palace has been exposed to numerous upgrades and reconstructions, as well as retrofitting and strengthening after various forms of natural disasters, such as the fire in 1435, the gunpowder explosion in 1463, and the earthquakes of 1520,.1667. and 1979. The data about the building and its construction, the data on the material characteristics of the used materials, as well as the vibration characteristics of the building, were collected from historical records, field research, scientific research and experiments carried out by various experts. Based on the collected data and according to present construction standards, spatial mathematical FEM models were created and calibrated to simulate the earthquake behavior of the historical building. Based on the results of mathematical analyses, the critical areas of the building were established and constructive conclusions were made

    Trial tests on piles foundation

    Završni rad se bavi temeljenjem na pilotima u uvjetima slabog temeljnog tla, te je fokus stavljen na probno ispitivanje nosivosti pilota. U zaključku rada, ističe se da piloti predstavljaju nužan izbor temeljenja kada površinski slojevi tla ne mogu podnijeti opterećenja građevinskih konstrukcija. Ispitivanja nosivosti pilota ključna su za osiguravanje pouzdanosti temeljenja, omogućavajući procjenu stvarne nosivosti pod određenim opterećenjem. Precizno definiranje koeficijenata poput prionjivosti (α) i bezdimenzionalne nosivosti tla (Nq) smanjuje mogućnost grešaka prilikom projektiranja. Ispitivanje pilota u ovom radu pokazalo je da su koeficijenti α i Nq unutar očekivanih granica, potvrđujući sigurnost i adekvatnost konstrukcije za prijenos opterećenja na tlo. Rad također naglašava da geotehničke analize i probna ispitivanja imaju važnu ulogu u smanjenju rizika od sloma temelja i osiguravanju stabilnosti konstrukcija u stvarnim uvjetima.The final thesis focuses on pile foundations in conditions of weak bearing soil, with an emphasis on the test loading of pile bearing capacity. In the conclusion, it is highlighted that piles are a necessary foundation solution when surface soil layers cannot support the loads of building structures. Pile bearing tests are crucial to ensure the reliability of the foundation, allowing for an accurate assessment of actual load-bearing capacity under certain conditions. Accurately defining coefficients such as adhesion (α) and the dimensionless soil bearing capacity (Nq) reduces the risk of errors during the design process. The pile tests conducted in this study demonstrated that the α and Nq coefficients fall within expected ranges, confirming the safety and adequacy of the structure for transferring loads to the ground. The paper also emphasizes that geotechnical analyses and test loading play a critical role in reducing the risk of foundation failure and ensuring the stability of structures in real-world conditions
