Managerial profile of teacher-directors in antioquia and administrative management approaches [Le profil de gestion du responsable pédagogique d'antioquia et les approches de gestion administrative] [O perfil de gestão do diretor docente de antioquia e as abordagens de gestão administrativa] [El perfil de gestión del directivo docente de antioquia y los enfoques de gestión administrativa]
This paper reports the results of a research aimed at studying the relationship between the managerial approach and the personal and professional characteristics of teacher-directors at schools of the 117 non-certified municipalities of Antioquia (Colombia), taking into account the four dimensions of educational management (directive, administrative, academic, and communitarian) into three forms of management: func-tionalist, structuralist, and critical. The research followed a descriptive, quantitative, and inferential approach, and was carried out with 242 teacher-directors who were selected by stratified random sampling and surveyed through self-administered questionnaires. The results reveal that many of the practices of these directors in each of the dimensions of management are still functional and structural, although a turning point towards the so-called critical management is observed. Our findings reveal a statistically significant tendency of teaching directors with graduate studies and more than ten years of experience to place themselves in critical management. Similarly, those with less experience tend to a function-alist community managerial style and show a greater prevalence of critical management in this dimension over the years. © 2020, Universidad Nacional de Colombia. Evaluation of fly ash reactivity from incineration of hazardous waste in lime pastes
The annual global production of fly ash is estimated at about 780 million tons per year and has been used successfully in the cement industry for more than 50 years, mainly as a mineral additive in Portland cement and also as a component of mixed cement. In this work, the ash reactivity from hazardous waste as supplementary cement material was evaluated. For this, the ashes reactivity in lime pastes was analyzed, centered on thermogravimetric tests as a characterization technique to determine the phases present. Part of the ashes of hazardous waste was pretreated, in order to eliminate chlorides and sulfates from the incineration process. The ashes were characterized by means of DRX and FRX, finding low content of SiO2 and Al2O3 in the ashes of hazardous residues. The pastes were prepared according to the ASTM C-305 standard, using a water/lime ratio of 0.4. The hydration process was stopped with acetone at the ages of 1, 3, 7, 14, 28 and 56 days. It can be concluded that only mixtures of untreated hazardous waste ash are more attractive to be used as replacements in the production of construction inputs. Copyright © 2019, AIDIC Servizi S.r.l
Digital connectivity as a fundamental right in Colombia [LA CONECTIVIDAD DIGITAL COMO DERECHO FUNDAMENTAL EN COLOMBIA]
Purpose - The objective of this article is to establish whether digital connectivity meets the criteria required by Colombian constitutionalism to be considered as a fundamental right, specifically in relation to access and effective use of the internet. Methodology - The methodology used consisted of going to the existing literature in books, specialized magazines and sentences issued by the Constitutional Court, establishing the differences and similarities in the data obtained, and then performing an analysis of the information collected. Originality/value - The originality component of this article means that the study was developed based on innovative criteria for the configuration of new fundamental rights. Findings - Finally, it is concluded that there can be no social justice without digital connectivity. © 2020 Universidade de Brasilia. All rights reserved

This paper intends to show the relationship of the standard of proof in the criminal process to issue a condemnatory sentence with the presumption of innocence as a probative and trial rule. From recognizing the legal transplant of a standard of evidence of the common law system, applied by juries that have no duty of motivation, the thesis is posed as the need to move towards a greater objectivity of the proof standard in a continental system, which is directly related to the necessary motivation of the judicial decision, especially from the trial assessment trial that allows reaching that degree of knowledge to condemn (beyond a reasonable doubt) and, consequently, distort the presumption of innocence (as a rule of judgement). © 2018, Universidad de Talca.En este trabajo se pretende mostrar la relación del estándar de prueba en el proceso penal para dictar sentencia condenatoria con la presunción de inocencia como regla probatoria y de juicio. A partir de reconocer el trasplante jurídico de un estándar probatorio del sistema de common law, aplicado por jurados que no tienen deber de motivación, se plantea como tesis la necesidad de avanzar hacia una mayor objetividad del estándar de prueba en un sistema continental, lo que tiene directa relación con la necesaria motivación de la sentencia judicial, en especial desde el juicio de valoración probatorio que permita alcanzar ese grado de conocimiento para condenar (más allá de toda duda razonable) y, en consecuencia, desvirtuar la presunción de inocencia (como regla de juicio). © 2018, Universidad de Talca
Prácticas docentes y transformación de las aulas : rutas de investigación educativa en Brasil, Colombia y México
La presente obra busca ubicar el contexto de la comunidad científica, profesoral, institucional educativa y poblaciones escolarizadas, los resultados de procesos de investigación llevados a cabo en diferentes escenarios del departamento de Antioquia en Colombia, e igualmente en Brasil bajo el liderazgo de la Universidad de Sao Paulo, desde su Facultad de Educación, y en México por el Centro Internacional de Formación y Emprendimiento (CIFE).
Así pues, el libro se organiza por capítulos en los que se expresan el problema de la investigación en el aula y la trasformación de prácticas, los procesos de reflexión teórica y conceptual que soportan las prácticas, además de los procesos propios de un trabajo investigativo en los campos de lectura y escritura, calidad educativa y desempeño académico, socioformación, evaluación y formación. Para efectos de visualizar una heterogeneidad de experiencias investigativas en los diversos países, los capítulos se intercalan para ampliar el margen de variedad de tendencias desde las cuales se pueden visualizar las experiencias investigativas en las aulas escolares, así como los soportes conceptuales y teóricos que las sustentan.
El texto es de gran utilidad para docentes en los niveles de básica, media e incluso universitaria, y para docentes de aula, quienes pueden ver reflejados en los contenidos muchas de las problemáticas que rodean sus prácticas educativas; como también para investigadores, quienes pueden encontrar en los datos mostrados fuentes de discusión o debate para sus estudios. En tal sentido, se busca que los resultados expuestos en los diferentes capítulos promuevan una dinámica de la sistematización, investigación, transformación y renovación de las acciones y estrategias didácticas y pedagógicas como algo connatural al ejercicio docente, de tal manera que se garantice la existencia, no solo del reconocimiento de las prácticas docentes, sino la tendencia a la reflexión de la acción de los maestros como parte de los procesos formativos, que se orienten hacia su transformación
Definición de una arquitectura de referencia para plataformas de servicios de datos
Big Data se refiere a conjuntos de datos cuyo volumen, velocidad y variedad dificultan su captura, gestión y procesamiento mediante tecnologías y herramientas convencionales. Este concepto ha generado nuevas necesidades en las organizaciones para permitir la captura, almacenamiento y análisis de datos con estas características y así obtener información relevante para la toma de decisiones. Un reto para las organizaciones es la implementación de una arquitectura que permita cubrir estas necesidades, ya que deben considerar las diferentes tecnologías existentes y deben establecer las políticas para el gobierno de datos que están en manos de los usuarios. Una arquitectura de referencia de una plataforma de analítica de datos, que se desvincule de herramientas tecnológicas es una guía que le permite a las organizaciones trazar un camino para lograr la gestión de grandes volúmenes de datos y así tener herramientas efectivas para la toma de decisiones empresariales. La arquitectura de referencia es lo suficientemente general como para implementarse con diferentes tecnologías, paradigmas informáticos y software analítico, dependiendo de los requisitos y propósitos de cada organización. En el proyecto desarrollado se realizó la implementación de la arquitectura con datos de la atención de urgencias en centros hospitalarios de la ciudad de Medellín. Uno de los resultados del trabajo de investigación es que la arquitectura propuesta considera diferentes tipos de usuario y de fuentes de datos, no genera dependencia por el tipo de herramientas tecnológica que se utilizan y establece una capa para el gobierno de datos.Big Data refers to data set whose volume, velocity, and variety make it difficult to capture, manage and process using conventional technologies and tools. This concept is generating new needs in organizations to allow the capture, storage, and analysis of data with these characteristics and thus obtain relevant information for decision-making. A challenge for organizations is the implementation of an architecture that covers these needs, since they must consider the different existing technologies and must establish the policies for data governance that will be available to users. A reference architecture of a data analytics platform that is capable of decoupling from technological tools will be a guide that will allow organizations to define a path to achieve the management of these data and thus have effective tools for make decisions in the company. The reference architecture is general enough to be implemented with different technologies, computing paradigms and analytical software, depending on the requirements and purposes of each organization. In the developed project, the architecture was implemented with data from emergency care in hospitals in the Medellín city. One of the results of the research work is that the proposed architecture considers different types of user and data sources, does not generate dependency due to the type of technological tools used and establishes a layer for data governance.Magíster en Ingeniería de SoftwareMaestrí

Exploration of serious games on environmental issues
Nowadays, the environmental problems for which the world is going through has generated several actions aimed at generating environmental education, using various means to achieve it. One of the tools that education and publicity among other areas are using are serious games, which has gained popularity, being used in various sectors such as education, trade, health, environment and others because they add entertainment to communication processes or educational. Serious games are used as one way to sensitize people about the depletion of natural resources and the consequences of environmental imbalance. First principles calculations of opto-electronic properties of doped blue phosphorene nanoribbons
Using first principles calculation the opto-electronic properties of blue phosphorene nanoribbons doped with carbon, silicon and sulfur atoms are studied. Zigzag and armchair edges configurations and several ribbon widths are considered. The electronic structure is analyzed and the results on band structure is used to study the optical response through the imaginary part of the dielectric function, considering light polarizations both perpendicular and parallel to the nanoribbon growth direction. The results show that carbon, silicon, and sulfur atoms in doped blue phosphorene nanoribbons induce magnetic states which appear as dispersionless energy levels above/under the Fermi level. The observed dispersionless levels in doped blue phosphorene nanoribbons suggest the presence of localized magnetic states. © 2019 Elsevier Lt
