This paper analyzes the inflection of a border-crossing ecological concern on the regional
cultures of settlement through Gail Anderson-Dargatz’s Turtle Valley (2007) and Barbara
Kingsolver’s Prodigal Summer (2000). Their engagement with the contingent position of the
farmers in the British Columbia Shuswap region, and the southern Appalachian Zebulon
County resituates the self. The struggle for production is substituted by a revisionist at-
titude that relocates (wo)men and nature in a sustainable coexistence that approaches the
human species and others. The ecological awareness of these novels uses a postindustrial
landscape where human bodies and lives exhibit the malaise inflicted on the environment;
they increasingly become waste(d) and toxic, and their habitat becomes a threat, also ma-
terialized in (post)natural catastrophes impelling the relocation of human communities, or
business reinvention. The human wastification of Eden is instrumental to launch a revision
that detoxifies identity thanks to a remodeled bond with nature.
Touristic enterprises and family farming, elements for integration approach: case study in Serra da Mantiqueira, Minas Gerais
atores sociais.
Rural areas have gradually become sites for tourism ventures where local products are highlighted
as one of the main attractions. The objective of this article was to examine the possibilities and limitations of
connecting family farming and private business ventures in the shape of integrated rural tourism in the munici‐
pality of Piranguçu. Forty six interviews were carried out with family farmers and tourist entrepreneurs. These
revealed a total lack of connection between these social actors. Entrepreneurs preferred to buy in supermarkets
and farmers to sell to foreign markets. However, both showed interest in forming partnerships, although there
is a need to build dialogue strategies to align the demand of enterprises and agricultural production, and ensure
the commitment of the parties to maintain and expand the link. It is concluded that the context is promising to
integrate the local family farmers’ expectations and maximise the tourist potential of the municipality

Alternative tourism as a driver of cosmopolitanism
Evidentemente no cualquier forma
Cosmopolitanism is considered to be a way of life associated with travellers who are able to reach
out to other societies. This approach produces greater tolerance, empathy, awareness and global belonging.
This allows us to understand the world’s problems (environmental, economic, social) as our own and forces
us to reflect on the need to become directly involved. But in order to achieve a cosmopolitan world, it is nec‐
essary to promote mechanisms. In this sense, tourism, which inevitably involves the movement of people, is
an important driver of change. Obviously not just any form of tourism, but that which achieves a symbiotic
relationship between visitor and host community. This is why alternative tourism should be encouraged as
an instrument of cosmopolitanism. The aim then is to reflect on the benefits of developing a cosmopolitan
society and how alternative tourism could contribute to this philosophy of life
Tourism and covid‐19: the tourism consumer’s travel intention for the year 2021 and 2022
As técnicas
de análise foram: Análise Fatorial Exploratória (AFE) e Modelagem de Equações Estruturais (MEE). O modelo
The article aims to analyse the factors that affect the travel intention of the tourism consumer
during the Covid‐19 pandemic for the year 2021 and 2022. The research is quantitative, with a conceptual
scope built from research of the literature. The data collection instrument was a questionnaire based on the
Theory of Planned Behavior. The survey was organised using Google Forms in January 2021. The type of
sampling was non‐probabilistic, with 174 valid questionnaires. The analysis techniques were: Exploratory
Factor Analysis (AFE) and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The structural model resulting from the
cross‐referencing of the data was shown to be adequate for the explanation and adjustment of the sample,
since an R2 of 0.75 was obtained. The hypotheses raised were confirmed, giving positive travel intentions for
the year 2021 and 2022, and signalling resistant behavior in tourists

Pubmed, Scopus y WOS (Web of Science).
campo.

nowadays, in the joint complex of the shoulder, is evident, not only because of
the susceptibility of the joint, but also as a result of continued overuse. In
volleyball, related to the technical gesture that this sport implies, the incidence of
this type of injury is the third highest, being the one that causes the most sports
absence. However, a correct study of the risk factors and an adequate injury
prevention program for this joint, among others, demonstrates a reduction in its
incidence.
Objectives: To review the existing literature on the prevention of shoulder
injuries in volleyball athletes.
Material and methods: A bibliographic review of the Pubmed, Scopus and
WOS (Web of Science) databases was carried out.
Results: 21 articles were obtained that met the established inclusion criteria,
including 10 of them in the review to analyze them.
Conclusion: Despite the limited existence of studies on the prevention of
shoulder injuries during volleyball, the effectiveness of this type of programs is
evident. Even so, it is suggested necessary to expand research in this field.
