Age and growth rates in Southern Ocean gorgonians (Cnidaria, Anthozoa, Octocorallia, Alcyonacea)
Full text linkLas prístinas aguas del océano austral albergan una extraordinaria variedad de organismos. La sorprendente longevidad es la característica principal de estos organismos. Sin embargo, las gorgonias son componentes claves en este ambiente antártico, y aun se sabe muy poco sobre la historia de su vida (ecología). En este estudio,
se han estudiado cuatro colonias de dos especies diferentes, Armadillogorgia cyathella y
Aglaoprimnoa stefanii, con el objetivo de saber un poco más sobre sus tasas de crecimiento y sus edades estimadas. Los radioisótopos utilizados en este estudio, ²¹ºPb y ¹⁴C, junto con el conteo de anillos de crecimiento nos han aportado diferente información sobre la edad de las gorgonias. La tasa de crecimiento axial recogida ha sido muy baja, ocurriendo lo contrario con la tasa de crecimiento radial. Se han observado irregularidades en los anillos de crecimiento, lo que indica diversas fluctuaciones ambientales en el ambiente antártico.The pristine waters of the Southern Ocean are home to an extraordinary variety of organisms. The surprising longevity is the main characteristic of these organisms.
However, gorgonians are key components in this Antarctic environment, and very little
is yet known about their life history (ecology). In this study, four colonies of two different
species had been studied, Armadillogorgia cyathella and Aglaoprimnoa stefanii, with the
aim of knowing a little more about their growth rates and their estimated ages. The
radioisotopes used in this study, ²¹ºPb and ¹⁴C, together with the growth ring count, have
provided us with different information on the age of the gorgonians. The collected axial
growth rate has been very low, the opposite occurring with the radial growth rate. Growth
ring irregularities have been observed, indicating various environmental fluctuations in
the Antarctic environment

Full text linkEste artigo apresenta a Festa do Divino Espírito Santo e a Romaria do Senhor do Bonfim, principais
festas religiosas de Natividade, cidade localizada no estado do Tocantins – Brasil, como motivadoras do
turismo religioso na região. A pesquisa relata ainda, o cenário atual das políticas de turismo implementadas
no estado do Tocantins para a região de Natividade, nas quais não há foco para turismo religioso e sim para
o ecoturismo. Entende -se que as festas religiosas movimentam a economia local, o turismo e toda uma cadeia
de serviços que acaba por reunir diversas pessoas e que as mesmas, ainda podem traçar um modelo de
desenvolvimento local como alternativa para o turismo na região.This article presents the Festival of Divino Espírito Santo and the Pilgrimage of Senhor do Bon-
fim, the main religious festivals in Natividade, a city located in the state of Tocantins, Brazil as motivators
of religious tourism in the region. The research also reports the current scenario of tourism policies imple-
mented in the state of Tocantins for the region of Natividade, where presently there is no focus on religious
tourism but only on ecotourism. It is understood that religious festivals move the local economy, tourism and
a whole chain of services that end up bringing together many people in the region and that there is still time
to outline a model of local development as an alternative for tourism in the region

Full text linkLa guerra civil española (1936-1939) se considera como uno de los episodios históricos más estudiados desde la historiografía. Con los años, y, especialmente, desde principios del siglo XXI aparecen nuevas investigaciones sobre la Guerra Civil desde otras disciplinas como la arqueología, y su subrama: la arqueología del conflicto. Los vestigios materiales pueden indicar cómo se desarrollaba la guerra, las armas que se empleaban o cómo viven y mueren sus protagonistas, pero también hablar de las personas que los produjeron: identidades, afiliaciones políticas y religiosas, concepciones del género, etc. Con el presente trabajo se pretende acercar los aportes de la investigación arqueológica de la guerra civil española y plantear así una mayor colaboración entre estudios históricos y arqueológicos

Full text linkEn este Trabajo de Fin de Grado (TFG) se presenta un proyecto de innovación
transversal, con base en la didáctica de las ciencias experimentales. El objetivo principal
propuesto ha sido que el alumnado de Educación Primaria aprenda de manera significativa y
motivadora bajo la metodología educativa STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts
and Mathematics), para así poder despertar su curiosidad científica. Para lograrlo, este
proyecto ha utilizado esta metodología innovadora, trabajando de forma transversal dichas
áreas. El resultado final se verá plasmado en una obra de teatro que organizará y representará
el propio alumnado. Tanto los objetivos como las actividades se evaluarán mediante unas
rúbricas elaboradas a tal efecto, cuyos resultados se analizarán para comprobar la eficacia de
esta metodología.This End of Degree Project (TFG) presents a transversal innovation project, based on
the didactics of experimental sciences. The main objective proposed has been that the students
of Primary Education learn in a significant and motivating way under the educational
methodology STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics), in order to
awaken their scientific curiosity. To achieve this, this project has used this innovative
methodology, working across these areas. The final result will be reflected in a play that will
be organized and performed by the students themselves. Both the objectives and the activities
will be evaluated by means of headings drawn up for this purpose, the results of which will be
analysed in order to verify the effectiveness of this methodology
