Perceptions of STEAM+CLIL Integration: Results of a Co-teaching Proposal During Initial Teacher Training
There is a real need to promote integrated thinking within education in a globalised world whose problems are increasingly complex and interdependent every day. Integrated STEAM education has become one of the most relevant approaches within educational activities that integrate various disciplines. However, teachers often encounter difficulties with its implementation, due to its complexity. The aim of this study is to investigate perceptions of interdisciplinary integration among trainee teachers after the implementation of an iSTEAM+CLIL co-teaching proposal through a two-phase quasi-experimental pre-post study. The results pointed to an improvement in the levels of disciplinary integration that students perceived before and after the intervention. There was also some improvement in the level presented after the second intervention when teachers worked in ways that were more integrated than after the first intervention. Further action is therefore needed in this respect to encourage teacher training and to facilitate the implementation of this interdisciplinary approach in integrated teaching

Stability of Strict Equilibria in Best Experienced Payoff Dynamics: Simple Formulas and Applications
We consider a family of population game dynamics known as Best Experienced Payoff Dynamics. Under these dynamics, when agents are given the opportunity to revise their strategy, they test some of their possible strategies a fixed number of times. Crucially, each strategy is tested against a new randomly drawn set of opponents. The revising agent then chooses the strategy whose total payoff was highest in the test, breaking ties according to a given tie-breaking rule. Strict Nash equilibria are rest points of these dynamics, but need not be stable. We provide some simple formulas and algorithms to determine the stability or instability of strict Nash equilibria.Spanish State Research Agency (PID2020-118906GB-I00/AEI/10.13039/501100011033), from the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities (PRX19/00113, PRX21/00295), and from the Fulbright Program (PRX19/00113, PRX21/00295), is gratefully acknowledged. Setting Net-Zero Targets: Accounting and Policy Implications
The emergency of climate change requires urgent action from companies, governments, civil society, and other stakeholders. In addition, multiple disciplines play a key role in shaping the energy transition to a greener economy.
This publication aims to (i) explain the connection between science, policy, and accounting to address the collective action problem of climate change, (ii) show case studies from leading companies committed to reduce emissions in line with science, and (iii) identify critical challenges and further steps for a sustainable low carbon economy.
It is hoped that this document catalyzes the accounting and policy implications to address climate change so that actors, especially influential companies, raise ambition and achieve their targeted science-based emissions reductions.Fundación Banco Sabadell has financially supported this research through its annual research fellowships for Ph.D. students. Irish Women’s Confessional Writing: Identity, Textuality and the Body
In recent times, the Irish literary arena has witnessed an
extraordinary flourishing of women’s life writing, with a special
interest in the examination of the female body. These works
explore the relations between identity, memoir, and narration
through the confessional, and reconceptualise the female body in
the Irish context. This article sets out to examine collections of
essays by two of these women writers, Emilie Pine’s Notes to Self
(2019) and Sinéad Gleeson’s Constellations: Reflections from Life
(2019), as innovative explorations of identity by applying Michael
Bamberg’s integrative approach of narrative analysis. It aims to
illuminate these examples of essayism as ‘interactional and bodily
performed’ narratives, in Bamberg’s words, and as testimonies of
transformation and adaptation of the body-mediated selves not
only in Ireland, but universally. Pine and Gleeson’s essays look
back on painful past experiences and explore the intersection of
identity, textuality, and the body
