Time Series Sensor Data for Cutting Fluid Analysis from the SmarTaladrine Project

    No full text
This dataset provides multivariate time series data from sensors monitoring a cutting fluid (taladrina) test tank, collected as part of the "SmarTaladrine" project. The primary monitored variables are pH, Temperature, Concentration, and Conductivity. The data spans from December 17, 2024, to April 1, 2025. The dataset includes a raw, preprocessed version of these four variables, which contains missing values as originally observed. Additionally, for each of the four primary variables, separate files are provided showcasing the results of imputing these missing values using five different methods: a pre-trained MOMENT model, a fine-tuned MOMENT model, an LSTM-based Variational Autoencoder (LSTM-VAE), K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN), and a hybrid KNN-Clustering method (HybridKCL). This dataset is intended for developing and evaluating models for cutting fluid analysis, anomaly detection, predictive maintenance, and for benchmarking time series imputation techniques within industrial machining contexts. This work was supported by the project "Solución innovadora, embebida en máquina o auxiliar, para la eco gestión inteligente de taladrinas en operaciones de mecanizado (SmarTaladrine)", funded by the Programa Estatal para Impulsar la Investigación Científico-Técnica y su Transferencia, del Plan Estatal de Investigación Científica, Técnica y de Innovación 2021-2023, within the framework of the Plan de Recuperación, Transformación y Resiliencia (Spain)

Virtual Echoes: Enhancing Empathy Through the Experience of Others’ Physiology in Emotional Virtual Scenarios

    No full text
Empathy is a soft skill that allows individuals to understand and share the feelings of others. Scientists have demonstrated that mirror neurons are responsible for empathy. Empathy can cause a person to feel the pain of strangers or distant individuals as their own. Furthermore, research suggests that empathy plays a critical role in social cognition, enabling individuals to build trust and cooperate in complex social environments. In an increasingly interconnected and diverse world, developing empathy is essential. This skill not only helps in personal relationships but also in professional settings, as it facilitates communication and collaboration among individuals

Dataset of the work “Simultaneous Scanning Electrochemical Microscopy and UV-Vis Absorption Spectroelectrochemistry”

The combination of instrumental techniques allows obtaining precise and reliable information about the reactions taking place at the electrode/solution interface. Although UV?Vis absorption spectroelectrochemistry (UV?Vis SEC) provides a molecular insight about the species involved in the electrode process, obtaining information about the redox state of the products generated in this process is not always accessible by this technique. In this sense, scanning electrochemical microscopy (SECM) has a clear advantage, since it provides additional information on the oxidation state of the intermediates/products. Therefore, the combination of these two techniques facilitates obtaining a more complete picture of the electrochemical reaction studied from two different points of view, but under exactly the same experimental conditions. In this work, the combination of UV?Vis SEC in parallel configuration and SECM is carried out for the first time. This new technique allows distinguishing between those species that are electrochemically active and, at the same time, exhibit changes in the UV?Vis absorption spectra during the electrochemical reaction. The new experimental setup is first validated using ferrocenemethanol as a standard probe, concomitantly obtaining spectroscopic and electrochemical information that accurately describes the oxidation process. Finally, the strength of this combined technique is demonstrated by studying the antioxidant activity of o-vanillin (o-HVa) in the presence of electrogenerated superoxide. The information extracted from the new UV?Vis SEC/SECM technique makes it possible to identify, beyond any doubt, not only the origin of the electrochemical signals recorded in the SECM tip but also to evaluate the antioxidant effect of o-HVa at different concentrations.Open Access funding provided thanks to the CRUE-CSIC agreement with American Chemical Society (ACS). Dataset of the work “Simultaneous UV/vis Absorption in Parallel Configuration, Photoluminescence and Raman Spectroelectrochemistry”

    No full text
Analytical Chemistry is the science of chemical measurements that seeks to acquire the most comprehensive information about a chemical system. Recent advances in technology have facilitated the development of new combined analytical techniques capable of supplying analytical signals of different natures. These signals subsequently provide diverse information related to specific chemical reactions. This technical note proposes a new combination of three different spectroscopic techniques (UV/vis absorption spectroscopy in a parallel configuration, photoluminescence and Raman spectroscopy) with electrochemistry. To illustrate the capabilities of this new technique, two chemical systems (tris(2,2' bipyridine)ruthenium(II) and ofloxacin) were selected. A comparison of the behavior of the two molecules during the electrode process demonstrates the advantages of obtaining several signals simultaneously in a single experiment.Open Access funding provided thanks to the CRUE-CSIC agreement with American Chemical Society (ACS).
