An approach to firm’s innovation from the explicit and tacit knowledge spiral
This is an Accepted Manuscript of an article published by Taylor & Francis in Knowledge Management Research & Practice on 31 Jan 2023, available at: https://doi.org/10.1080/14778238.2023.2173679This study aims to analyse the mediating and moderating roles played by tacit
and explicit knowledge in the relationship between organizational capabilities
and product innovation. On a sample of industrial organizations, SEM and
multigroup analysis have been applied. The findings show that both explicit and
tacit knowledge partially mediate the relationship between organizational
capabilities and product innovation, being stronger the mediating role played by
tacit knowledge. While high levels of tacit knowledge enhance the impact of
organizational capabilities on explicit knowledge and product innovation, a
moderate level of explicit knowledge maximizes the impact on the relationships
between organizational capabilities, tacit knowledge and product innovation. The
discussion of the results, the managerial implications and future research lines are
included at the end of the paper.S
Latin Teaching: communicative approach versus grammatical approach
Existence of solutions of nonlinear systems subject to arbitrary linear non-local boundary conditions
In this paper, we obtain an explicit expression for the Green’s function of a certain type of systems of differential equations subject to non-local linear boundary conditions. In such boundary conditions, the dependence on certain parameters is considered. The idea of the study is to transform the given system into another first-order differential linear system together with the two-point boundary value conditions. To obtain the explicit expression of the Green’s function of the considered linear system with non-local boundary conditions, it is assumed that the Green’s function of the homogeneous problem, that is, when all the parameters involved in the non-local boundary conditions take the value zero, exists and is unique. In such a case, the homogeneous problem has a unique solution that is characterized by the corresponding Green’s function g. The expression of the Green’s function of the given system is obtained as the sum of the function g and a part that depends on the parameters involved in the boundary conditions and the expression of function g. The novelty of our work is that in the system to be studied, the unknown functions do not appear separated neither in the equations nor in the boundary conditions. The existence of solutions of nonlinear systems with linear non-local boundary conditions is also studied. We illustrate the obtained results in this paper with examples.Partially supported by Grant PID2020-113275GB-I00 funded by MCIN/AEI/10.13039/501100011033 and by “ERDF Away of making Europe” of the“EuropeanUnion”.S
On the street : fashion, street art and street style
When a little says a lot: euphemisation in job titles
In our high-speed society, heavily influenced by NICTs, job posting sites are one of the main resources employed by job seekers. Compa-nies focus on writing enticing ads, favouring catchy titles often devoid of clarity, but which attract candidates. In this study, we analyse the designations used on these sites, focusing our attention on the form and the euphemistic uses of the designations at the service of a market economy. The rhetorical strategies adopted privilege deliberately imprecise titles, whose interpretation is not always obvious, but which favour a positive impact on the reader-candida-te in the form of enticing offers. The semantic-pragmatic study proposed explores the reasons for these choices and the coexistence of diffe-rent designations for a same profession or job.

Resolving the taxonomy of the Polysiphonia scopulorum complex and the Bryocladia lineage (Rhodomelaceae, Rhodophyta)
Cryptic diversity is common among marine macroalgae, with molecular tools leading to the discovery of many new species. To assign names to these morphologically similar species, the type and synonyms have to be examined, and if appropriate, new species must be described. The turf-forming red alga Polysiphonia scopulorum was originally described from Rottnest Island, Australia, and subsequently widely reported in tropical and temperate coasts based on morphological identifications. A recent study of molecular species delineation revealed a complex of 12 species in Australia, South Africa, and Europe. These species are placed in a taxonomically unresolved lineage of the tribe Polysiphonieae. The aim of this study was to resolve the genus- and species-level taxonomy of this complex and related species using molecular and morphological information. Three morphologically indistinguishable species of the complex were found at the type locality of P. scopulorum, preventing a straightforward assignment of the name to any of the molecular lineages. Therefore, we propose a molecularly characterized epitype. Polysiphonia caespitosa is reinstated for the only species found in its type locality in South Africa. We describe seven new species. Only one species of the complex can be morphologically recognized, with the other eight species indistinguishable based on morphometric analysis. The studied complex, together with another seven species currently placed in Polysiphonia and two Bryocladia species, formed a clade distinct from Polysiphonia sensu stricto. Based on observations of Bryocladia cervicornis (the generitype), we describe our seven new species in the genus Bryocladia and transfer another nine species from Polysiphonia to Bryocladia.Funding was provided by the Australian Biological Resources Study (grant 4-G046WSD).S
Nonparametric estimation for a functional-circular regression model
Changes on temperature patterns, on a local scale, are perceived by individuals as the
most direct indicators of global warming and climate change. As a specific example,
for anAtlantic climate location, spring and fall seasons should present amild transition
between winter and summer, and summer and winter, respectively. By observing daily
temperature curves along time, being each curve attached to a certain calendar day, a
regression model for these variables (temperature curve as covariate and calendar day
as response)would be useful for modeling their relation for a certain period. In addition,
temperature changes could be assessed by prediction and observation comparisons
in the long run. Such a model is presented and studied in this work, considering a
nonparametric Nadaraya–Watson-type estimator for functional covariate and circular
response. The asymptotic bias and variance of this estimator, as well as its asymptotic
distribution are derived. Its finite sample performance is evaluated in a simulation
study and the proposal is applied to investigate a real-data set concerning temperature
curves.Open Access funding provided thanks to the CRUE-CSIC agreement with Springer Nature.

expressions, such as the country “has no blacks”, “there is no indigenous people” or “we

creation bases (colonialism and “social darwinism”) will be explained, as well as how the
othering process of differences worked (“us” understood as white-european, “other”
understood as non-white), and how this affects indigenous people and afroargentinians
(invisibilisation, discrimination, racism…). Subsequently, we will try to see how we
transition from seeing this population in terms of race to terms of social class as the
country transforms into a salary society. Finally, we will discuss the impact of
postmodernity and economic crisis that affects the country´s identity construction,
encountering a revival of the non-white through social initiatives, religion, education,

Detection of different Betanodavirus genotypes in wild fish from Spanish Atlantic coastal waters (Galicia, northwestern Spain)
Objective
The nervous necrosis virus (NNV; genus Betanodavirus) is an aquatic pathogen that is responsible for a neurological disease affecting marine fish. Despite its almost worldwide distribution, global warming could favor the spread of NNV to new areas, highlighting the importance of conducting epidemiological surveys on both wild and farmed marine fish species. In this study, we assessed NNV prevalence in wild fish caught along the Galician Atlantic coast.
Methods
In total, 1277 fish were analyzed by reverse transcription real-time polymerase chain reaction.
Result
Twenty two (1.72%) of those fish tested positive for NNV, including two species in which the pathogen had not yet been reported.
Conclusion
The reassortant RGNNV/SJNNV (red-spotted grouper NNV/striped jack NNV) was detected in 55% of NNV-positive individuals, while the remaining 45% harbored the SJNNV-type genome. Moreover, from European Pilchard Sardina pilchardus and Atlantic Mackerel Scomber scombrus, we isolated four reassortant strains that carried amino acid mutations at key sites related to NNV–host interaction.S
