From Idea to Impact: A Persuasion Intervention Program for Emerging Female Entrepreneurs
Treball Final de Grau en Psicologia. Codi: PS1048.
contextos similares.Persuasion is the process through which attitudes, beliefs, or behaviors are ethically
influenced. It is considered a key skill in the field of entrepreneurship. Young female
entrepreneurs often face situations where they need to communicate their value
proposition, convince investors, negotiate with clients, or build their presence in digital
environments. In this context, this Final Degree Project aims to design a practical
intervention program focused on developing persuasive skills for women in the early
stages of building their business idea. The program is based on an updated theoretical
review of persuasion and its impact on negotiation contexts. It also draws on the classic
principles of influence established by Cialdini (1984). To ensure the program fits the
real entrepreneurial landscape, informal exploratory interviews were conducted with
participants from the UJIStartup program. These helped identify real needs and validate
the structure of the intervention. The program includes four practical sessions that cover
key areas such as crafting persuasive messages, using strategic storytelling, improving
non-verbal communication, applying persuasion in social media, and handling
objections in negotiation settings. Each session is designed to promote active learning
by connecting theory to real and meaningful situations. Beyond improving
communication, the program also aims to strengthen leadership, self-confidence, and
the ability to build strategic relationships. Overall, this proposal responds to a real need
identified in the female entrepreneurship ecosystem and offers a tool that can be
replicated in similar future contexts

Reducing inequalities is one of the goals of the 2030 Agenda, specifically number 10 of the
Sustainable Development Goal. This initiative aims to recognise the structural inequalities
(political, economic, social...) that have affected the well-being of transgender older people,
in order to create inclusive protection policies, ensuring accessibility to services, dignified,
competent and discrimination-free treatment. In fact, in the Valencian Community, a Protocol
for Attention to LGTBI Diversity in centres, services and social programmes aimed at older
people has been drawn up in order to meet the specific needs of this group and enhance their
quality of life (Conselleria de Igualdad y Políticas Inclusivas, 2022). Due to the limited
information and research available so far from the scientific community to better understand
the barriers faced by transgender older people in terms of unwanted loneliness and active
ageing, a review and synthesis of the available literature was conducted to understand the
current status and challenges in improving it. Method: We selected and analysed the
publications collected through our databases using the PRISMA method, including a total of
10 publications that met the inclusion criteria. Variables related to perceived loneliness, the
role of community, identity, access to services and discrimination were extracted. Results:
Transgender older people face more challenges than the cisgender, and in some respects
LGB, population in accessing services that affect their holistic well-being. Conclusion: This
field still requires in-depth and extensive research, and this review shows the need for action
on behalf of this community, so it is vital to involve transgender people as key informants in
future research
Detection of Falls and Frailty in Older Adults with Oldfry: Associated Risk Factors
Objective: To describe the characteristics and outcomes of using the Oldfry technology application in older adults, analyzing changes in frailty and fall risk after its implementation. Design and Methods: Observational, analytical, prospective, crosssectional, and multicenter study conducted in residential centers in Plana Baja (Castellón, Spain). A total of 156 older adults over 65 years old participated, selected based on specific criteria and voluntary consent. Sociodemographic, anthropometric, and clinical variables were collected, including fall history, sensory problems, medication use, and standardized cognitive, nutritional, and functional assessment scales. The study was approved by the Ethics Committee of Universitat Jaume I. Results: The sample included 156 individuals (median age: 84 years). Women showed greater functional dependence (Barthel scale) and cognitive impairment (Pfeiffer scale). The Oldfry device detected frailty with statistically significant differences. A direct relationship was found between greater functional dependence and higher fall risk, as well as between higher comorbidity and increased fall risk. An adequate nutritional status was associated with a lower fall risk. Conclusion: The use of Oldfry is crucial for assessing frailty and fall risk in older adults. Factors such as functionality, comorbidities, and nutritional status directly influence fall prevention, highlighting the importance of technological tools in monitoring these risks
Marketing Plan of Camins Centro de Psicologia
Treball Final de Grau en Administració d'Empreses. Codi: AE1049. Curs 2024/2025Psicología Camins is a psychological care center located in the center of the city of Castellón and specializes in offering psychology and speech therapy services to all ages. Through its philosophy focused on close and professional accompaniment, its value proposition is based on the commitment, specialization and closeness of each person who makes up this company, allowing it to offer an intervention adjusted to the specific needs of each person.
The current social context presents a sustained growth in the demand for psychological services, motivated by the increase in awareness of mental health and crisis situations such as the last pandemic. This scenario is a great opportunity for centres such as Camins, as it has a varied range of services adapted to each person. In addition, at the territorial level, a significant need for psychological care has been detected in rural areas of the interior of Castellón, where the supply of professionals is scarce and in many areas non-existent, which has led the center to consider taking psychology to regions at risk of depopulation. Among the threats, the growing competition in the sector and the constant need for professional updating are identified, which implies high costs in training and continuous improvement.
Camins has also detected significant shortcomings in access to mental health in rural environments, so the company proposes a series of objectives, such as opening up a market in five towns in the region, increasing the number of services by 20% compared to the previous period, which will be carried out through actions such as the organisation of free presentation days in the target villages.
Among the most relevant strengths of the company is its strategic location in the city center and its team of highly qualified professionals with extensive experience in the sector. As a weakness, the limitation of current human resources is pointed out, which can make it difficult to meet new demands if the team is not reinforced. Camins establishes as strategic priority objectives to open the market in at least five towns in the Alto Mijares region during the first year of this territorial expansion, improve the loyalty of current customers through complementary services such as discounted session vouchers and post-service follow-ups. Another goal is to achieve a customer satisfaction level of 85%, measured through post-session assessment questionnaires, and to expand the team by hiring a new psychologist.
To achieve these objectives, Camins will apply various strategies, the market penetration strategy (Ansoff) will be focused on increasing the contracting of services within the current market, the market expansion strategy is aimed at bringing Camins services to the inland regions of Castellón, starting with the Alto Mijares area. A differentiation strategy will also be carried out, based on offering additional valuable services, such as follow-up and personalized attention reinforcing the customer experience and a niche strategy focused mainly on the elderly in rural populations.
All these strategies will take the form of a series of actions organised into three axes: service, price and communication. In terms of service, actions have been designed such as the design of a quality questionnaire to measure customer satisfaction, post-service follow-up and the hiring of a new psychologist have also been implemented. As for the price, actions have been carried out such as the creation of vouchers for discounted sessions and promotions for loyalty or recommendation. And in terms of communication actions, the website has been redesigned, in addition to energizing the company's social networks and free conferences have been organized in the target towns to publicize the services and generate confidence in the new areas of action
This Final Degree Project proposes a preventive program aimed at developing basic executive functions, specifically, inhibition and working memory, in three-year-old children, integrating emotional expression and regulation as a cross-cutting theme. The proposal is based on the curricular framework established by Decree 100/2022 of the Valencian Community, within Area I: Growth in Harmony, and is grounded in neuroeducational principles that emphasize the importance of early intervention, taking advantage of the brain plasticity characteristic of this developmental stage. The program consists of eleven sessions that combine symbolic play, group dynamics, self-regulation activities, and emotional assemblies, all adapted to the classroom context and designed with an inclusive approach. Evaluation is carried out through systematic observation and the use of tools such as teacher rubrics applied during the initial and final sessions of the program. The expected outcomes focus on the progressive improvement of children’s ability to control
impulses, hold and manipulate information, and recognize and express basic emotions. The project concludes that, from a neuroeducational perspective, prevention in Early Childhood Education can be addressed through playful and structured approaches, significantly contributing to children’s overall development while providing teachers with practical tools to detect and support potential executive functioning difficulties within the regular classroom context
Research on the mesh misalignment of spur and helical gears and its effects over the face load factor
Treball Final de Màster Universitari en Disseny i Fabricació (Pla de 2015). Codi: SDI414. Curs 2024/2025The ISO 6336 standard is commonly used to determine the load-carrying capacity of both spur and helical gears, focusing on bending strength and surface durability. These capacities are calculated using nominal bending and contact stresses, which are then adjusted by penalty factors, one of the most significant being the face load factor.
The face load factor factor accounts for the increase in stresses due to gear misalignment which may be caused by manufacturing and assembly errors of the transmission, and elastic deformations of the elements of the transmission.
However, the methods used in ISO 6336 standard rely on simplifications that may not accurately reflect the actual operating conditions, potentially leading to less conservative results.
In this study, the analytical methods of ISO 6336 standard have been imple mented in a computational tool developed in MATLAB to automate the calculation process and assess the standard’s limitations of the load carrying capacity of spur and helical gears. This approach enables a more efficient evaluation of the formulas and facilitates parametric studies to analyze different gear configurations and operating conditions.
To validate the ISO 6336 predictions and identify the impact of its limitations, a finite element model of the gear-shaft system has been developed. This model cap tures the real mechanical behavior of the system, including stress distribution and deflections under load. The comparison highlights how ISO may underestimate the effects of shaft flexibility, gear misalignment, and load distribution.
Based on the insights from this comparison, an improved analytical model is proposed. This model, grounded in Euler-Bernoulli beam theory, provides a more accurate estimation of the face load factor by better accounting for elastic deformations and misalignment effects. It aims to improve the reliability of ISO6336 predictions while keeping the method computationally efficient
Perinatal bereavement simulation: knowledge, skills, self-awareness, and satisfaction in a quasi-experimental study
Background: Simulation has been proposed as an effective educational strategy to improve end-of-life care skills among nursing students. Aim: To determine whether the educational intervention "Grief Care Training Workshop" and the Objective Structured Clinical Assessment improve nursing students' bereavement care knowledge, bereavement care skills, and self-awareness. Methods: This prospective, analytical cohort study evaluated whether the educational intervention "Grief Care Training Workshop" and the Objective Structured Clinical Assessment enhance knowledge, skills, and self-awareness in bereavement care. Results: The sample included 54 students in the control group and 60 in the intervention group. Significant improvements were observed in bereavement care knowledge, skills, and self-awareness both immediately after the intervention and 6 months later. Comparing the control group with the intervention group, significant differences were found, with a large effect size across all variables. Students also reported high satisfaction with the intervention. Conclusions: The results demonstrate that simulation is an effective method for increasing nursing students' knowledge and confidence in providing perinatal bereavement care.Funding for open access charge: CRUE-Universitat Jaume
Ultrafast development of blue pigment for in situ laser digital coloration in the ceramic industry
This study presents a fast and simple method for digital ceramic coloration using inkjet printing, eliminating the need for traditional precalcined pigments. This innovative approach represents a breakthrough in ceramic decoration technology, and introduces a previously unexplored methodology. In this work, CoAl₂O₄ spinel, a pigment commonly used in industrial contexts, is synthesized through laser zone melting (LZM) by applying pulsed laser radiation at 1064 nm. A standardized methodology to optimize pigment quality is developed, based on laser parameters such as pulse width, frequency, speed, power, and line spacing. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) is used to determine the optimal laser conditions for obtaining a continuous, defect-free coating, showing that the embedded particles on the surface exhibit a nearly spherical morphology with diameters below 100 nm. The sample with the highest surface quality is further analyzed structurally and optically. X-ray diffraction (XRD) confirms the presence of a pure spinel phase without secondary phases, along with a vitreous phase due to pigment embedding. Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and Raman spectroscopy reveal the characteristic vibrational bands of a normal spinel structure. The intense blue color is confirmed by strong absorption at 560 nm in ultraviolet–visible (UV–Vis) spectroscopy, as well as b* and Δb* values of 29 and 1.58, respectively, compared to the traditional pigment. This synthesis approach significantly enhances digital ceramic coloration compared to other methods evaluated in this study, offering a scalable, flexible, and more efficient alternative suitable for industrial-scale production.Funding for open access charge: CRUE-Universitat Jaume
Longitudinal changes in Anxiety, Ordering, Washing and Stress during the first 8 weeks of the COVID-19 lockdown in the Iberian Península
Treball Final de Grau en Psicologia. Codi: PS1048.
The COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent lockdowns introduced unprecedented disruptions to
daily life, with significant psychological consequences. This study aimed to examine the
longitudinal evolution of specific psychological variables—anxiety, stress, and obsessive compulsive symptomatology (washing and ordering)—among individuals in Spain and Portugal
during the lockdown period. A particular focus was placed on evaluating differences between
individuals who worked on-site (presential group) and those who worked remotely (online group).
A total of 1,475 participants were included in the study, with 369 in the presential group and 1,106
in the online group. The participants completed self-report measures at three time points (weeks 0,
4, and 8 of confinement) assessing anxiety (DASS-21), obsessive-compulsive symptoms (OCI-R),
and stress (PSS). Data analysis was conducted using repeated measures ANOVA and non parametric tests due to violations of normality assumptions.
Results indicated significant changes over time in anxiety, washing, and stress across both groups (p
< .001), suggesting an overall adaptive trend. However, the ordering variable did not exhibit a
temporal change but did differ between groups, with online workers reporting higher scores (p
= .025). Stress levels were significantly higher among on-site workers (p = .038), highlighting their
increased vulnerability during confinement. Conversely, no significant group differences were
observed for anxiety and washing behaviors.
The findings suggest that remote work may act as a partial buffer against stress during public health
emergencies, while certain obsessive-compulsive behaviors may be more pronounced among those
working remotely. This study contributes to a growing body of evidence on the psychological
impact of pandemic-related confinement and highlights the importance of targeted mental health
interventions that consider occupational contexts
