You, your child, and problem solving
Why is problem solving important for families? Naturally, conflicts arise
for children every day. Children who learn to figure out solutions
to their problems are better able to work and play with others. The
ability to solve difficult situations also builds positive self-esteem,
self-confidence, and relationships with others.Published March 1995. Facts and recommendations in this publication may no longer be valid. Please look for up-to-date information in the OSU Extension Catalog: http://extension.oregonstate.edu/catalo

Problem thistles of Oregon [2006]
These thistles are native to Europe and the Middle East.
Some are not true thistles; for example, purple/Iberian and
yellow starthistle actually are knapweeds. All of these plants, however,
share a spiny, thorny, invasive nature and long-lasting, hard seed. These traits make people who use or manage land for recreation, wildlife, or livestock very concerned. We need to
act now to protect Oregon’s precious agricultural and natural areas.Published December 2006. Reviewed July 2013. Please look for up-to-date information in the OSU Extension Catalog: http://extension.oregonstate.edu/catalo
