Economic analysis of residential rooftop photovoltaic systems in Santiago de Chile
Developing a project like this in a country and city where familiar, friendship and professional
networks are lacking can make it difficult to gather the necessary data. Luckily, there were some
people that were unexpectedly very helpful and that I would like to mention. My colleagues and
neighbors Alex, Cami, Raipa, Francisco and Nacho as well as my landlady Dani, for moving
heaven and earth to send me electricity bills. Félix Canales from CNE and Pablo Acuña, Rodrigo
Daza, Francisco Gumera and Alejandro Cea, for helping me so diligently and repeatedly while
knowing that I was not a potential client. I would also like to thank my advisor, professor João
Pedro Pereira, for accepting me in his field lab more than 3 months after the application deadline
had passed
How do younger generations perceive the frontier between new and pre-ownedlLuxury goods in the luxury watch category
The consumption of second-hand luxury products has been steadily growing and shows no signs
of stopping. High luxury brands are still reluctant to step into this market given the perceived risks
of doing so. However, in fact, it constitutes an opportunity for brands to shape demand and stake
their claim among younger generations.
This paper examinates how currently the frontier between new and pre-owned watches is perceived
by younger generations. To analyse this matter, 14 in-depth interviews were conducted to buyers
of luxury watches. The findings highlight that younger generations do not believe in the existence
of a frontier between pre-owned and new luxury watches
Environmental sustainabilty and young consumers:exploring communication strategies in online advertising for a leading dermo-cosmetic brand
This research paper examines possible social media and online communication strategies on the
topic environmental sustainability for Vichy laboratories. As Vichy’s relationship with young
consumer segments is currently showing low commitments towards the environment, a stronger
dedication through online advertising of environmental sustainability is required. Vichy’s new
positioning and communication strategy will be guided by a higher environmental sustainability
commitment through online advertising with a focus on social media, addressing young
consumers’ sustainability concerns

Preventing Clostridioides difficile infection by using an immobilized bile salt hydrolase to interfere with spore germination
"The anaerobe Clostridioides difficile is a leading cause of healthcare-associated
infections. C. difficile infection occurs after faecal-oral transmission of spores that
germinate in the gut in response to certain bile salts. Commensal microbiota prevents
spore germination by modulating the bile acid pool. Therefore, spore germination, toxin
production and disease only occurs under dysbiosis, normally caused by antibiotic
therapy. Lactobacillus salivarius is a commensal bacterium that produces a 76 kDa
dimeric bile salt hydrolase (BSH). BSH catalyses the deconjugation of taurocholic acid
in cholic acid and taurine and inhibits C. difficile spore germination and colonization in
vivo.(...)
Paradox and history
Publisher Copyright: © 2025 Informa UK Limited, trading as Taylor & Francis Group. This special issue represents the first effort to bridge paradox theory and historical analysis further. Its goal is to create a fertile environment for advancing the historical study of organisations by contributing to discussions on various research topics where organisations, paradoxes, and temporality intersect. Defining organisational paradoxes as interdependent contradictions that persist over time contains an immediate plea for applying historical thinking and methodologies. The collection of papers included in this special issue illustrates that exploring paradoxes in business history is a promising research avenue.authorsversionpublishe
